Not sure if you check old comments. It seems like you’re someone who enjoys honest feedback, and although I’m late to the party I thought I’d share my thoughts. (Maybe it could give you something to think about on your next novel, or even this novel although I’m Quite a few chapters behind). Your writing style is very good. Even the small 18+ scene was well written and creates interest. However as I’m approaching the paywall, I can honestly say I’m not nearly hooked enough to want to continue. The concepts are interesting, and I like the characters. Thing is I’m 50 chapters into the story and it really just now feels like I’m starting to approach the end of the intro. I really enjoy a slightly slow start with some charcter building and world building! The problem I think is in the fact you’re spreading to thin on so many different plot points so early on. It’s Awesome to have things to look foward to and interesting points in a story. Thing is it’s 50 chapters in and really not a lot has happened. You’ve done great in setting up a large amount of plot points, but I haven’t even got to get a taste of anything moving foward. Kind of creates a feeling in the reader that nothing will ever happen. When choosing something like cultivation, system and harem, you need to understand it’s totally fine deviate with some slower points and build the world (which you’ve done amazingly at) but there needs to some slight pay off or something to keep the reader engaged. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t include all of your great ideas and create a moving world with many parts! Just maybe get us a little further in a few plot points before making more and more. I almost feel like I know more about how the secretary is feeling than the main character. Like I mentioned above, 50 chapters in isn’t a small amount of time, and he’s still done little to no cultivation, there has been some relationship buidling but it’s quite slow,(Please don’t think I want him to boink every female instantly) and we also know very little about the system. With the fact you started us off with a sneak peak of how things would be later, it creates a disconnect from how slow it actually is moving, and the slow movement would be fine, but slow movement with so many plot points is where we run into and issue, since it creates the feeling we will not move foward and just have more and more introduced. Anyway I’ll stop here I wasn’t trying to write a novel (I’ll leave that to you). Just wanetd to give my take. Your writing style is great, and your ideas are wonderful too. I can honestly say I stuck around for the 50 chapters because I really enjoyed how awesome thing could be and was just hoping something would actually happen because you drew me in. However now that I’m at the paywall I can’t really confiendently say I would want to pay to keep reading because I have no idea if the progress will ever occur or what that would even look like since we haven’t seen anyof it yet.
