~Lesbian romance. Mature language.~ Lareina has been ripped away from her family, transported to a new world, and claimed by a complete stranger. What could possibly happen next?
Have you ever asked yourself if all the fairytales, legends, and everything supernatural is actually real? Well, if you're a regular human like me, you would obviously be like, Hell no! Yeah, see, I was seriously the same way. Don't get me wrong, I always loved reading about these "fictional" beings and watching cliche movies about them, even the profound intellectual talks my friends and I would have while we were extremely high. Yet here I am telling you that I was wrong; we're all completely fucking wrong.
Huge fucking PSA (Public Service Announcement) they are literally all real! Now some may not be how some legends and folklore go, but seriously ALL of them. I honestly had no idea of their existence until two pricks that go by the names of Jasper and Zelda showed up at my door looking like the Men In Black... well, also women. Maybe settle for a more gender-neutral term; the People in Black, yeah, that's better.
Apparently, all supernatural creatures all have mates, soulmates, betrothed, beloveds, whatever you want to call them, they all have them. So when one of them finds their mate who happens to be a human, they just show up at your doorstep, tell you that you've been "claimed," honestly such a horrible way to put it; I'm not property.. okay, okay, back on track. Anyways so they show up, say you've been "claimed," then proceed to tell you to pack your shit, say your last goodbyes before they erase your entire existence from your human life, and transport you through a portal to their world, and take you to whoever claimed you. Oh, and by the way, unless your conditioning to become an astronaut, good fucking luck transporting; now I know how Harry Potter felt appariting for the first time.
My name is Lareina Hanada. I'm the oldest of 7, well, I guess I used to be. Maybe this wouldn't have been as bad if I didn't just get ripped away from my family. They didn't even give me a choice; what if this person is a psycho. I am starting to feel like this isn't some fantasy fiction where the mates are all nice, and you can choose if you want to reject them, or maybe they just want you to feel like you have no choice.
"Hey, human. Get in the vehicle. Your mate is not a patient person." The one named Jasper is such a piece of shit.
"Okay, listen here, Once Upon a Time, I am getting really fucking sick of you and Bubblegum princess over there." I squared my shoulders off towards him and barely pointed at the one who goes by the name Zelda. He looks a lot more intimidating now that we've arrived in their world. It's like they've both taken on their true form. His true form just happened to be another two feet taller than what he was before with red eyes, while she now has short pink hair in a pixie cut, with these glowing pink eyes. "I have a fucking name, dumbass, use it."
His eyes were starting to glow a brighter shade of red, but I didn't look away; we just remained in a staredown until, out of nowhere, we heard an eruption of laughter. We both looked over to find Zelda bent over laughing.
"Why the fuck are you laughing, Zel? Did you not hear how this thing talked down to me?" I was about to say something when she just started laughing harder.
"Oh, Jasper, Jasper, Jasper. I think I'm going to start calling you Once Upon a Time. That is just too good." She then looked at me, and I felt this wave of calmness wash over me. "As for you, What was it again, Flower? Apologies for my partner here, but we really must get going." she started to walk past me to get into the car but stopped when she was shoulder to shoulder, but she was a good foot taller than me in height. "Oh, and it's Miss Bubblegum princess to you." She lightly chuckled as she made her way into the car. I took a big deep breath before following her in and then Jasper following behind me. I looked at both of them.
"By the way, for the last time, my name is Lareina Hanada. So I guess miss Bubblegum princess, you are sort of right. My last name does mean flower fields." She nodded and smiled while Jason just huffed and looked at Zelda.
I just let my thoughts swallow me whole as I rested my head on the window of the vehicle. It wasn't like cars back on Earth; they didn't make any noise nor touch the ground. I definitely don't think they polluted the environment either. I could hear Zelda and Jasper whisper back and forth, and it seemed heated, but couldn't make out exactly what they were saying. Probably Jasper complaining over his broken ego on how a 5'4 human wasn't scared of his freakishly large ass. Seriously dude was probably close to 9 feet tall. I have no idea what they are all I know because they've only told me that all supernatural creatures exist, and they are a part of what is called Human to Supernatural Affairs. This shit has me spent. I hope my family is okay. I never got an opportunity to go to college because I had to stay back and help my mom with the kids and bills. My father was very sick and couldn't work anymore to help us. He passed away almost two years ago. I am so scared they won't be taken care of, and now my mom is all alone.
I could feel myself starting to lose the battle of staying strong when I felt a tear fall down my cheek. I hurriedly wiped it off, hoping no one saw. Suddenly, I felt that a wave of calmness wash over me again as it did earlier. I snapped my head up to find Zelda looking at me, concerned. As if she was overwhelmed by my emotions too. I just gave a weak smile. I went back to looking at this world blur around me. I didn't even realize we were going that fast. My eyelids started to get heavy, and I started losing a whole nother battle; this time, however, the sleep won.
