Chapter 35

Courtney turned from her desk upstairs in her office, where she was packing her cameras for the weekend, when a shuffle came from behind. The smile came easily. "Hello."

Austin sat on the corner of the desk Jake built for her and pulled her into his arms. "Hello to you." Laying his head on her shoulder he breathed deep. "How is it you can make the smell of lemongrass seem erotic?"

She grinned down at the top of his dark head. They'd make a picture. If only there were two of her--one to take the shot and one to pose. She toyed with his soft hair, loving the silky strands through her fingers. "Are you still going with me to the Anderson wedding tomorrow?"

He looked up with his one hundred percent male grin still in place. "Yes." He tugged on the neckline of her white blouse, kissing her there. "Are you going to wear that short purple dress I saw hanging on your closet door?"

She laughed. "I was planning on it."
