Squatting down, Reya peaked inside. A small blue bird squawked at her angrily and threw her stick out.
"I've found you, little bird!" she whispered softly.
The blue bird glanced at her with its eyes narrowed for a while, after which it turned over showing its back to her. Its tail feathers were just mucky brown color with a hint of blue to it.
"Little Birdy, come out. I'm gonna need your egg," she whispered softly, poking inside with the offending stick. The blue bird huffed and squeaked again.
"Oh come on birdy, please come out," she was literally begging on her knees by this time. The bird did not care about her. The muddy ground under her soaked into her pants and sleeves, making her clothes mucky brown as well.
