Comments of chapter undefined of A New World, an immersive game experience

So we are almost 100 in with very little progress and a race built for casting that wants to be a warrior. This may kill the story for me. I don't get all the struggle when this choice makes it all pointless. He already has to work harder for the same rewards, which makes little sense. Now he will give up on what may actually make some of that struggle worth something. I know the author may have things planned but this is 100 chapters with no clue what that plan may be.
