Island of Cana

The discussion for the new mission continued at the conference room,

"The threat here was that Borgzpit military forces was scattered all over the country in aid for the civilians that was affected by the catastrophe and they're lacking men. Although, our military lend a hand before, it's still not enough to ease it. So this time, all of the battle units would be send at Borgzpit and mainly at the island. There is a great possibility that those rebels would use this chance to claim the island especially now that a crisis has emerged and the Borgzpit military was too busy and don't have the capability anymore to secure the island. The president of Borgzpit as well ours, has already come into an agreement that our military force will be in charge at the protecting the island for the main time" the Brigadier General announced

It's no wonder that countries like Borgzpit would ask assistance for Kovsky which is one of the most richest and formidable country in the whole world. Kovsky is well exceling in both military and economy and was advancing at a great speed. Although, Borgzpit is also a large country, they focused more on their economy and their military force was a level bellow from that of Kovsky.

"You're given the opportunity to cease the rebels if they start a wild fire that will affect the civilians. The battle troops would be divided and some were to be sent at the capital and the rest is for the island. You will also be in charge on delivering relief goods, assistance for the rehabilitation of the country and of course, to support the medics"

"Also, your unit arrangement for the mission locations has already been delivered to your perspective units. This important task will start tomorrow and at exactly 6am, all of you and your troop should be in the assembly field fully prepared. We need you to go there as soon as possible because many lives depend on this. Don't let the military down and if there's no more to ask, you may leave and start preparing!" the Brigadier General stated in patient as he left the room when no one seemed to ask anything.

The captains also started to leave the conference room while discussing with each other about the consequential mission.

"Why do I have this feeling that my troop would be sent at the capital not the island" Gear said as he pressed the vending machine button. He is more excited to go in the island because it's the place where war would most likely to occur.

"Bear with it, become the General and do all you want" Aka replied bluntly as he take a sip at his drink while looking from afar.

"No way, that position is damned" Gear utter as he lean his tall slim body at the wall while drinking a bottle of Cola.

These two were from the same Military School back then that's why they were affiliated with each other. They belong into the same dorm as well the same room and only Gear has the damn nerve to approach this tyrannical man. They share the same training and drills but when they finished the requirements and was qualified to become a soldier, that's when they part ways. Aka went into the Combat Sect which involves Infantry, Cavalry, Artillery, and Tank Forces. While Gear went into the Survey Sect and not long after, these two become a captain of a well distinguished troops.

Then, they heard a man talking with someone on the other side of the phone. The two decided to shut their mouth and started listening at the on-going conversation.

"I can't make it tonight, we have an important mission tomorrow and I don't know when will it end. We have to go overseas" said the man and there is a glint of irritation on his tone

"What made you think that I'm cheating? Then come and see me here to see if I am" he replied as his mood started to get ruined

"Those are all rumors and you did actually believe it? You're my fiancée and it won't be long before we get married, why would I do such as things? And it's like as if you don't have a faith on me" the man queried further as he hope that this will finish soon. His hand is itching to hang the phone already.

"Ok fine, I'll take you to date once I returned back. Just go shopping with your friends and stop over thinking. This will be quick" the man concluded and with a few exchange of words the call ended and he left unaware that Aka and Gear has been listening at the whole conversation for a long time now.

"That guy is a bad news" Gear shrug and it was obvious that he was displeased. Gear is a hundred percent sure that, that guy is a certified womanizer. From that man tone, he was hesitant and was annoyed because he knew he was guilty and was having an affair that's why he acts like that.

Aka didn't said anything and disposed the cup. The two left the building soon and they parted. Aka wasn't in rush to go back to his troop, instead he went into the forensic building that was located just a many meters away. He wanted to know what's behind that mysterious deer death.

When he arrived he saw Yuhan, a forensic member and was the smartest and the skillful one here. The man is wearing his white lab coat and signaled Aka to follow him. They went inside an empty lab and everything that could be seen is nothing but pure machines, cabinets, accessories, tools, etc.. that has to do with science. It almost smelled like that of the hospital.

"That deer cause of death is one of a kind and I don't know how to explain it" said Yuhan as he bring out some data and papers where the research about the deer was compiled and he give it to Aka. Yuhan is a top notch researcher as well a forensic investigator however this is the first time he has seen such as thing. He had a hard time on his findings and he even asked a help from some of his co-workers for it.

"What is it?" asked Aka as he started reading the survey

"It was an internal bleeding that probably occurs from its stomach. It made the veins and the blood cells to outburst that's why the blood came out from its mouth, nose and eyes. However the most fascinating thing here was that, this thing that killed the deer is possibly experienced by Air borne" Yuhan explained with a bit of amazement. This odd science maniac was always like this. He was always enchanted with new thing that has to do with science. Thus, he was only 21 and was younger than Aka but he looks old because he doesn't pay much attention to his looks although, if he fix his baggy fashion and his shaggy messy hair, he is a good looking young man.

"Hence, all of the deer part was strangely clogged, including its anus and alimentary canal that's why all the blood move up to find an exit and the mouth, nose and eyes was the only possible path. But the most unmatched finding here was that if the blood couldn't find any available clear out, The body would explode, and I think that's the beauty of this catastrophe" Yuhan further explained as he show some taken photos of the postmortem examination.

"Then do you know why it was an Air borne and what could be it?" Aka asked as he look at the photos

"Not at the moment and I'm currently on a research but I would say it's an Air borne because I didn't find any strange substances on the deer stomach to be called as a food transmitted disease. It was an Air borne since there were no wounds nor inflictions at the deer body and it was completely clean. If it wasn't consumed through foods and water and if there's no wounds, then that means that this deer probably died because of inhaling that unknown lethal substance" Yuhan demystify as he shrug his head.

"Can it affect people?" Aka said upon hearing that

"Uh hah, that could be possible but if you ask about my opinion, that substance was probably not finished yet but its effect was damn high. Who knows if it's the end of the world if it was fully accessed" Yuhan answered back in an easy going tone.

"But I wonder, how did it end up at the military's turf at all of places" Yuhan added as he put some substance at the **** and shake it as it produce a black smoke. It was the combination of **

"That only means someone is here trying to stir up things" Aka replied as he put down the data. He had seen and heard enough.

"Oh yeah, I wonder who could that be, you guys should really brace yourself. I just hope I'll finish my three year here and resign" Yuhan sighed, In fact, this young man was actually hand-picked by the military from before because they saw just how good he is and scouted him. Yuhan that time doesn't have a choice because it was an order from the high ups and end up here as a forensic member, though, he really wanted to become a scientist but not here at the military! For goodness sake, he knows that his life is at stake even if he doesn't belong to the battle troops.

He will be able to leave the military after three year because that's their agreement but the military is always giving him hard tasks knowing that he will resign after just a few years. They don't want to let go of this very talented young man in terms of science that's why they're making a good use of him
