Feeling of sorry, guilty and thankfulness

Abhikshith sat on the sofa looking at her. Time was around 6 in evening, Kruthika finished cleaning of house. She washed her face and dressed in track pant to go to the park.

"Abhikshith, I'm going to the park. See you in an hour", said Kruthika as she was wearing her shoes.

"Can I accompany you? If you don't mind", asked Abhikshith.

Kruthika agreed to it. She waited for him to get dressed up and they both went to the park together.

"So, do you take some food to the work?", asked Abhikshith on their way to park.

"Nothing as food, but I do take some peanuts, jaggery and dry fruits as snacks. I've them if I feel hungry or little drowsy. Why did you ask such question?"

"I observed that you don't have your lunch at afternoon and you didn't even carry any food along with you. I had this doubt and you cleared it". said Abhikshith as they reached the park.

"Okay I'll just sit here and talk with my parents in a phone call. You can carry on your running or jogging or whatever you want to do", said Kruthika as she pointed a bench near them.

Abhikshith didn't want to go for jogging, the main reason he came to park was that he wanted to stay with her and discuss about her likes and dislikes more. In order to avoid the awkwardness he had to go for jogging.

Kruthika sat there and thought of calling her parents. She didn't call them since Rishi's meeting, she wanted to know whether did he reject to engage with her or not.

(Phone conversation)

K: Hi mom. How are you?

M: We are fine here. How are you?

K: I'm fine too. How's dad?

M: Even he's fine dear. So you didn't say anything about Rishi. Did you like him?

K: No mom. I don't think I like him. What was his response?

M: What to say Kruthika. Initially they were the one's who were waiting for you to agree to the marriage, but God knows what happened to that boy. He didn't like you.

Kruthika felt very sorry, guilty and thankful for Rishi. She didn't expect that he would really do what she said to him.

K: Okay then. Can we stop this thing. Looking a bridegroom for me thing. I hope atleast now you might have realised that you are rushing too early for my marriage.

M: May be or may be not. I still don't understand it, they came to us to asking you and then after meeting you, Rishi didn't like you. How could it be possible to not like you? Rishi is very good and responsible man though, like, just look at him. He's having his home which he bought it from his salary itself at this small age. He's only two years elder than you. We thought you and Rishi would be perfect for each other...

K: Mom. Please finish it. It's over. It's past we have to focus on present. And the most important point is that even I didn't like him. He's a hard worker and I pray that he should get better partner than me.

M: Okay.

K: What is dad's opinion about this?

M: Why don't listen to it by yourself. (she gave the phone to Kruthika's father).

F: How are daughter?

K: I'm fine dad. How are you?

F: I'm fine too dear. So how's everything going?

K: Fine dad. What's your opinion about Rishi?

F: It's their choice dear we can't alter it. But it's strange they(Rishi's parents) came first to ask you as their daughter in law and after your meeting with Rishi, they rejected it.

K: Dad. I didn't like Rishi. It's not that he is bad or something but I didn't feel anything towards him. So I want you to forget about this.

F: I can try that.

K: And may be it's precaution that is not the right time for me, and even you are making me to rush into a relationship. Don't you feel so dad. I agreed to see alliances only to make you happy, I didn't know that you were forcing me because of Rishi's parents. Can't you just stop forcing me to relationship for my happiness. There are lot of things I've been committed to. There are lot of things that I want to enjoy alone without taking permission of a whole bunch of family rather than two. Don't you think that I should be free for two more years.

F: Okay you just want to be free for two more years right. Okay we won't disturb you again about this in two years. But after two years you must get married. Is that clear to you?

K: Thank you dad. Yeah did I say you that I've got a new roommate?

F: No you didn't. Who's that?

K: It's Abhikshith Bhargav.

F: Oh that film actor. But why is he your roommate? I mean he's such a celebrity he could have stayed in five star hotel.

K: Even I thought the same. I even asked the same to him, he said that hotels took too much money. But everybody's having benefit of he stays with us.

F: How is that benifit to you?

K: Dad the rent for house has been increased and it's way too much for us. We were looking for a roommate who could share the rent and bills with us. And we found one. He doesn't be here all the time, he'll be just few days in a year and he said he'll pay the bills and rent for whole year. What else do we need?

F: But isn't this strange?

K: I know dad, but we can't find a better roommate than him.

F: Yeah even that's true. But is there any extra room for him?

K: We converted that store room to bedroom.

F: So, when he's coming to stay?

K: He's already staying with us. He came on May 4th.

They talked for few more minutes, while Abhikshith was just jogging around her to eaves drop as much as he could. But he could barely understand anything because he didn't know Kannada fluently, while Kruthika was talking in different Kannada accent.

She ended the call and messaged her friend Manasa, DO YOU REMEMBER THE GIRL WITH WHOM YOU STUDIED FOR TWO YEARS TOGETHER? IF YOU REMEMBER HER THEN PLEASE CALL HER IN YOUR LEISURE TIME BECAUSE SHE'S MISSING YOU.

Best friends always have their way of conversing with each other, so did Kruthika and Manasa. Kruthika had another best friend from her high school, Sunaina. She even messaged her, it's been several days since she got last message from her.

She didn't visit to her home while she was in India, this made Sunaina upset. Sunaina is a medical government employee in India, she passed her civil exams and became an officer who could look after the group of villages.
