Comments of chapter undefined of Game Master of Souls

I don't get why everyone loves this howler guy? He has been an arrogant prick so far. Confidence is fine, I love seeing that. However, what has been shown so far is not confidence, it's arrogance with a sad backstory to make him more likeable. I mean she was nice to him etc and then he instantly ignores this because he feels she was commenting that he wasn't strong. He then challenges her ignoring her gestures and insults her... He has an inferior complex and tries to not show it by being arrogant.
