i am getting disappointed at this stage of the novel.. it good so far, but the inconsistency and the inaccurate merging of actions just brings down the interest in the book. so far the mc has shown moderate knowledge for an mc at this stage he has used them well but after the case where they argued about the oat the situation just seems .... mee!! is he (mc) planning to help her, but still make sure she keeps her dignity while being a slave? what is the point if not being observant of a slave you brought into you house for the first time, what is the point of punishing her when you don't know if she is not strong enough, what is the point of you wiping out the tears that came to her face after you punished her...u did not even warn her before the said punishment so why the care, why is the woman interfering with the punishment by telling him she might not following him at all, she will do worst for all i know. why tell her to go ahead into a portal then being a'man' to protect the portal... stay in one place man...
If nothing else Leo has an amazing intelligence network foundation probably one of the best foundations of that particular part of a kingdom in any kingdom building novel I have read. With that he can make his soldiers much better than the other nobles just based on having more up to date and accurate information which in my opinion is one of the two best things for an a army to have. The other is superior military technology with logistics coming in a close second and strategy/tactics being third.
