Dave Saunders walked home from his night shift thinking of how his life was proceeding. It did not go as he had planned to. He graduated from his university with average grades. It didn't help out how he tried to apply for many jobs that he could find. All failed and he was slowly losing hope. His job paid the minimum and he was barely scrapping by. The Snow was falling tonight as the winter season has arrived. It was cold and Dave could only walk home to his apartment. Not riding the bus or a taxi was never in his mind because he wanted to his save. Riding could save him a few minutes but if he would do that he wouldn't survive in the city and his dreams of becoming successful would be over in a blink of an eye.

As he was walking, he did not mind on what was happening in his surroundings and he had a lot on going through on his mind. He did not know that a luxurious car was fast approaching and due to his jacket being black it made the driver hard to see Dave. As the car was getting nearer the driver barely noticed Dave and tried to evade causing it to crash into a nearby building. Dave was shocked of the accident and hurriedly made his way to the car checking how driver the driver was. Dave knocked on the door as he cannot see the inside as it was heavily tinted. There was no response and Dave was having a bad feeling. The Car was producing smoke and that was not a good indicator. He immediately dialed 911 and told them to come as soon as possible giving them the exact location. As Dave was familiar of the area he gave the exact spot where they were. Everyday he would walk pass through here making him so familiar of the place. The smoke coming from the car was intensifying and Dave thought it was getting worse. There was still no movement or response inside. He could only think of one thing and that was to smash the window glass. He tried ramming his body but he couldn't even make a crack. So, he hurriedly found a piece of metal lying around near the trash and smash the luxurious car window.

It worked and the window cracked and with the final blow the window was shattered. The person sitting on the driver seat was a beautiful girl unconscious. He thought he have seen this beautiful girl in the past. The blonde color of her hair made it seem though that she was famous. He somehow recalled that they were similar to that person in the hair product commercial. He dragged her out of the car and far away as possible because it might blow up anytime. As Dave was finally 20 meters away from the car it exploded. He sighed as he was able to save her in time. He was partially at fault for walking in the street causing the accident to happen. If he were only aware of his surroundings more then the accident could have been prevented.

Soon the authorities began to arrive and a firetruck watered the fiery car on the building it crashed on. The police began to question Dave of what happened. He said his part of how he was walking unawares and how he was almost ran overed by the car. He explained it to them that the car evaded causing it to crash and explode. The girl was with the paramedics and was identified as VR Gaming Star Aurora of a popular online game. It caused a stir because of how popular she was. VR has one become of one the most biggest things in the entertainment industry. It made the poor became rich. You need only the skills and the brain to succeed in the VR online world. Aurora or her IGN was popular woked up and was then informed of what had happened regarding the accident. She looked at Dave and told the police that questioned her that she did not want it to escalate. Dave was then told and he also did not want any trouble.

Soon the media began to arrive and was flocking their way to Aurora questioning her of what had happened. Dave made his exit and quietly walked towards his apartment he was kinda guilty of the accident if he was more careful then there would be no accident. Dave arrived inside his room in the apartment he was living. It was small but he did not complain. A lot had happened today and he was glad that none of it would costs him money. Dave showered first and changed his clothes then lied on the bed as he slowly drifted into sleep.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

The Alarm was as loud as ever Dave did not want to come late as he set it as early as possible. As he was about to leave the apartmet he noticed there was a piece of paper on the floor. It was folded and as he opened and read it. He was shocked because the letter came from aurora. She was thankful for saving her as she explained her side that she was not clear-headed last night and nearly ran him over. She also told him not to worry on how she got his address. She also stated that she gave him money for his troubles and that he earned it. Dave appreaciated the thought but he never begged for money. He locked his apartment door and soon was greeted by his Land Lord.

"Dave! Your rent last month and this month. I want it today!"

The Land Lord said loudly.

Dave worked overtime and he saved as much as he could but it would not still make the amount needed to pay for his rent but he suddenly remembered that Aurora gave him a reward money. He checked the note again and it said that the money was already transfered to his Bank Account. The girl was mysterious and also popular he did not know she got his information. He shuddered thinking about it on how easy people are being tracked nowadays.

He opened his phone and the App myBanks and saw the notification.

Dave was mind blown. He did not expect that a simple gesture of thanks would give him Fifty-Thousand. Dave quickly approached his Land Lord and said that he was going to pay now. The Land Lord was surprised as Dave would not pay on time but he always thought how poor the people that were living on his apartment.

"Dave, I know its hard on you but you can pay me later."

Dave smiled. "No. I have the money already because of good luck I can pay you right now."

Dave knew that this Land lord of his was always considerate of the people here even though that he was loud.

Dave paid his Land Lord 1000 USD in rent. The Land lord did not stay any longer and Dave walked out of his apartment.

Dave looked at his cellphone whom was calling him. "Oh, its Max. Yo, What's up man?"

"Dude, you okay? Are you still working on that dump?"

"Yeah. I'm on my way there."

"Dude, you have to stop working there and play Gen-W. I can lend you the money to buy the VR machine. I've been making bucks with the VR Game. 1 Credit is equivalent to 1 USD. Playing is like working there."

"I have to think about it but I don't need money if I decide to play it later. I can buy it with my own."

"Are you sure? Let me know if you need any help. Once your inside the game, search me up with my UserName [Dark Titan]."

"Cool Name. Sounds like you. Hahahaha"

"Hahaha. See ya later."

Max was a black american and a tall one at that. He is 6'10 and Dave was only 5'10. That was the reason Dave started calling him Titan back in the University they met. Max was always absent on his classes and focused on gaming until he dropped out when he became successful enough and could support his own. Dave finished university but barely.

Dave had thought that it was viable if he would start gaming. With the money that he had he could easily buy the equipment needed to start VR. He looked up the online stores that was selling the VR equipment and saw the prices.

There was a lot of machines to choose from but Dave made his choice to buy the most expensive one that he could find. He read that to game for a long time in a VR machine he needed those top-of-the-line equipment to nourish his body and the INTL 4X400 i9000-1k was the choice. It was from the group called International. It eclipsed all other brands and could support up to 20 hours gaming time real life. It costed dave $6000 and 100 dollar delivery. It would take about half-a-day before arriving. Dave had proceeded to his workplace and saw that everybody was working as usual when he arrived. He didn't go over to his work station but gone over to his boss to resign.

"What? You're quitting? Why? You're one of the most hard working and you said you needed a raise. How are you going to survive the city if you have no work."
