Freedom and Liberty (1)

"You two and your problems I got say that was one hell of a display of power though why didn't you send Demon Etrigan to Battle?" I questioned.

"What do you mean. You're the damn reason Entrigan got injured in the first place if I had summoned him he would've been butchered by Morgan." He spat.

"Aye now. So mind explaining to me what you two are going to do now. Word of advice free the elven slaves you have in captivity else I give the same treatment I did to Etrigan." I threatened.

"Tomorrow I will be storming towards where ever Morgan le day is and freeing the slaves she has on her. You guys owe me a favour for saving your lives. Know that when I come to retrieve it you do so without falter else I cut you down like the rest. Another soul to my army" I stated.

"Come on now Rewora let's go get Helga and try that bakery again I heard theirs a special," I smiled walking out. It seems I was able to solve my problems without taking off my glasses... This time.

"Hmm, I was thinking more of checking the library. I Heard there is a book on a fairytale my mother use to tell me off," She replied.

"Oh, And what was it about?" I asked as we now exited the royal quarters making our way past the knights in front who seemed to be discussing amongst themselves before saluting.

"Sir we have come to a verdict." Sir Conrad announced to me.

"That was quick," I answered genuinely surprised, there was many of them so it should've taken a while for them to discuss amongst themselves.

"We did not need a day to decide when our hearts are screaming us to pursue justice and liberty for our people and the elves. No more shall we be ignorant to knowledge and no more shall the elves be slaves," He announced as he went on a knee and bowed striking his sword on the floor.

"I Sir Conrad Pledge my loyalty and service to you Escanor!" He pledged. Other knights seeing him pledge his service followed suit as hundreds followed suit. All pledging their elegance to me their voices all in sync with their names on blurring when spoken.

Seeing the many knights bowing to me I was moved to be honest to see so many men clad in armour pledge their loyalty and service to me made me smile.

"So it shall be! Arise!" I Announced now holding Rhitta in the sky as I smiled genuinely. The knights hearing my command pulled their swords up and raised it towards the sky.

"Now it would feel Heroic to march towards the enemies front right now but that would be stupid. Go have a rest. A tired Knight is no better than dead meat, go rejuvenate before I butcher you myself," I hurried.

"But sir... We have no money or food The sorceress carried everything..." Conrad muttered to me.

"Ah yes troubling indeed. Say Rewona do you have the money to supply these men?" I questioned.

"Nope," She replied instantly.

"Welp I guess you men have to work hard and help out the people. If you want to eat you go to work hard." I commanded before sending them off making them dread.

"Knights do not falter we will work hard!" Conrad announced as he rushed with the other knights to go looking for work.

"Say Rewona how much money do you actually have?" I sheepishly asked.

"Enough to feed them a hundred times over, come on let us go get Helga and that book I was talking about. We will feed them later. My Book and Helga come first. Priorities Escanour Priorities," She smiled pulling me away. She's more cunning them me I smiled before allowing myself to go numb again as I fell into boyfriend mode where she would buy clothes, food, and wizardry stuff. I would suffer the load.

Catching up with Helga she shouted about how worried she was about her missing while she looked at me with the stink eye. I only stared back causing an awkward but tense moment as I scoffed at her attempt to intimidate me. Though I only complied as Rewora nudged me repeatedly as she knew how competitive her friend got when challenged and was absolutely right as she continued to stare at when I stopped making thing extremely awkward for me.

Finishing our shopping and getting her book I now had a mountain of clothing she seemed to enjoy the fact that I had a storage space where she could keep all her clothes and how she was always worried about where she was going to put her dresses. Although she could conjure a storage space of herself she could only create a limited space while mine was infinite. Like, come on, how much can a woman spend on clothes though I couldn't really complain as we men spend just as much on food... reasons be damned. A mans gotta eat when a mans gotta eat I tell yah.

We eventually tried feeding the Knights bit declined, saying that they had to prove that they were more than capable than just swinging a sword from one angle to another. Asking around I found out Sir Conrad was once a Gardner his mother teaching him to garden her backyard when she was still alive. She had died to a cold, causing me to think about implementing a healthcare system. I had now remembered that getting a cold back in these days were diagnosed with death. A lot of things needed to be overhauled as well. Things to do. Not enough knowledge to work with. Maybe the elve can help with that after all they owe me a favour and with more elves being freed another favour can be put on top of it. Oh yeah, things are coming altogether.

The other knights also had different talents from knowing how to sing to knowing how to play the bard. With the influx of workers, the town was busy as every knight had something to do especially with rebuilding the wall that was exploded when Morgan Le fay attacked.

"So tell me, Sir Conrad, where exactly will be attacking. I know that Morgan Le fay will be hiding in her castle but where exactly is this castle? I cant raid a kingdom without knowing where it is," I asked Conrad.

"Well, the soldier and I could show you but we would need a map." He stated.

"Yes we already tried everyone doesn't have one right now as it is either expensive and costs a fortune or the other nobles don't have one. So Rewora here is going to have you do a little mind ritual so we know exactly where to go without the use of a map and your guidance. Don't worry it won't hurt a little," I explained before Rewora grasped Conrad's head and started the ritual.

"Instead it's going to hurt a lot." I continued before causing Conrad to tense in pain his body repulsing on the floor. Seeing him in pain I gave him a mushroom which Rewora stated would numb the pain giving it to him he fell asleep instantly.

"I hope he's fine. So... Did you get the details?" I asked her.

"As if the back of my palm. We will have no troubles reaching there," She smiled.

"I feel kinda bad for little old Conrad... Oh well, he'll be fine," I smiled before grabbing the poor sucker and dumping him in an inn with his armour and a golden coin that outta forgive me... I hope.
