Day 2 (part 2)

"Let's go!" Yuki shouted as the baby she was holding started crying again.

"Deiji, you go first, I'll cover the rear," Glenn ordered the girl because he knew she was dependable to protect their companions, as he saw last night.

Without hesitation, Deiji nodded and started running while Yuki followed behind, still carrying the crying baby. The twins followed closely behind Yuki, holding hands.

As Glenn followed next, a zombie suddenly leaped at him from the side. Luckily, he managed to grab its chest and jaw to fight off its force and avoid being bitten.

This caused the four of them to stop. Deiji wanted to help, but Glenn just shouted at her.

"Run! I'll catch up!" He managed to say before he didn't want his companions to be delayed because of him.

Despite hesitations, the four of them just followed Glenn because they didn't want to be a burden.

They ran and ran. They heard various cries and screams again, thinking the hellish experience they had last night was over.

"Deiji!" Yuki shouted suddenly as they encountered a zombie.

It seemed to notice them because of the baby's cries.

Desperate to escape with her friends, Deiji, while still far from the zombie, ran faster as a momentum to meet the approaching zombie.

She slammed her fingers into a fist and positioned her hands forward. When they collided, Deiji caught its palm on its neck and shoulder. With the force Deiji exerted, the zombie fell, causing them both to tumble.

Deiji immediately stood up from the tumble and kicked the zombie's head as it was still getting up. Because of this, the zombie lost balance.

Glenn arrived just in time and finished it off. He repeatedly stomped on its head until it crumbled. The other four were disgusted by what he did.

"Let's go." Glenn took the baby from Yuki to make them all run faster.

"We need to find food. The baby is starving, and he's getting irritated with his diaper," Yuki suggested because the baby's cries still hadn't stopped.

Glenn realized they needed to quiet the baby down because the zombies might notice them.

"Let's go back to Sitio," Deiji suggested.

"But isn't it full of zombies there?" Michelle complained.

"Anywhere we go is full of zombies. We need to eat to regain strength," Deiji replied.

"They're here," Michael hinted, which caused them to run faster again.

When they climbed the wall again, they saw that the zombies were scattered. This may be because they couldn't find any food on top of the wall, unlike earlier. Surely, they spread throughout Sitio De Villasarza.

They gave the baby another piece of chocolate before going down to keep him quiet and not make any noise.

"Slowly," Glenn reminded Michelle, who was terrified and in a hurry.

"We'll run. They can't run fast like us, so we need to run faster as usual," Deiji suggested.

"What the fuck?" Glenn suddenly exclaimed at Deiji's suggestion.

"What? Why? Do you have any plans?" the girl asked Glenn.

They were having a weak conversation under the plywood leaning against the wall.

"We need someone to catch their attention," Glenn suggested.

"Do you think we're in a movie? How do you think running will help us survive?" Deiji argued with Glenn.

"Better than your plan. We'll all run to the middle," Glenn insisted.

"So, it's okay to sacrifice someone. Is that it?" Deiji suddenly felt guilty towards Glenn.

She didn't want them to be separated because they could protect each other when they were together.

"Not like that," Glenn could only say.

Their companions fell silent and were also confused about what to do.

"Uh... Guys. There's a building over there. And It seems to have stairs from the upper floor to the top of the wall," Michael explained at length and pointed to the building not far from them.

"Why did we even climb down?" Deiji complained to Michael.

"I thought you two were good at thinking," Michael replied weakly.

"What did you say?" Deiji glared at Michael, who cowered in fear behind Yuki.

Yuki intervened to calm Deiji down because she knew Deiji was just tired and hot-headed.

"Oh, maybe Glenn is Ate Deiji's 'para' for you," Michael casually said again and hid behind Yuki.

Glenn didn't say anything and just looked at Deiji, who rolled her eyes at him.

They climbed up again and started walking slowly on top of the wall. The wall was wide enough for two people to walk side by side, so it wasn't difficult for them.

"How will you climb up?" Yuki asked Glenn, who was holding the baby again.

Glenn thought about it and asked for Michael's jacket. He tied the baby to himself using the jacket. He wrapped the jacket around his neck and put the baby inside.

"It's not reliable. But what's important is that someone's there to help. You guys go ahead," Glenn explained because everyone was looking at them now that the baby was with him.

They let Michael go first, followed by Michelle. Yuki followed, then Glenn, and Deiji followed last to help Glenn climb up.

When Deiji climbed up, she was surprised to see men holding various types of weapons. Some had wood, some had blades, and some had metal. Behind the men were women, elders, and children who looked terrified of them.
