Golden Deer Goal

In a blacksmith shop, a muscular man and a young boy were chatting.

"By the way, what is with your smell? Did you jump in the sewer or something?" The man saw his clothes on Aiden and felt bad for the young boy. It was more of a potato sack than clothes.

"Pretty much, I was not left with much of a choice," He said. He did not want to say more than that.

"I see. How about this? I will give you some gears, but you will have to pay me back later. How good does that sound?" Drart gave a friendly smile.

Aiden was silent. He had to think about the offer.

"What is wrong with my offer? Don't tell me you prefer wearing that potato sack?"

"It is not that. Honestly, it is very kind you and I thank you for that. But I do not like owing others money. So I am going to reject that offer." Aiden never felt too comfortable being in debt to people.

Even in the real world, he would rather work hard and barely eat than have to owe money.

"Fine. The way you talk makes me think you are more mature than you look, you know? But I can't let you leave like that. I will give you some fresh clothes at least as a gift for selling the sword for me cheaply."

"No, you do not-"

"Boy, take it. It is my son's clothes and I have not seen him in years. And It has been taking up space in my storage." He left to go into the backroom and then came out with a unique outfit. "I remembered my son likes to design clothes based on the dark hero from legend. So, how does it look?"

"Yeah, your son is not a bad tailor."

It came with a jacket, shirt, and pants, which were all black with silver linen. It was design base on an unknown armor base on what Aiden could see.

"Now that I take a closer look at the outfit, they are too big for you. If you like it, I can tailor it to fit you?"

Aiden nodded in agreement.

Drart told him to come back in about an hour.

Aiden left the Tart Ore Shop satisfied. With 25 copper coins in his possession, he went to the nearest doctor. There he bought a potion to cure him of his waste disease. That potion cost him ten copper coins, leaving him with fifteen left.

"Phew, it is finally gone. I am never going to enter the sewer again." Aiden said in relief.

With only forty-five minutes left before meeting with Drart again, he decided to look for an inn to rest. He did not want to be out in the open too long since people saw him activate his Avant-garde Caster skill. He was not sure if any members of the Golden Deer knew it was him who sneaked in and stole the materials, but he needed to stay low for a bit.

There was an inn near the Tart Ore Shop, which made it convenient for him and only cost five coppers a night.

"I thought I will be targetted by the players of Golden Deer by now, but I guess it has not spread that far, fortunately." When he came back, he had to be careful to avoid places populated by players. It was another reason he chose the Tart Ore Shop, which was away from the busy part of the city.

When Aiden went up to his room, he felt exhaustion overcame his body. He had been fighting all day and training all night with little rest. His premature body could not take the stress for long. He quickly removed his dirty clothes before falling asleep on the clean bed.

*****

Inside the guild house of the Golden Deer, a blonde man was sitting at a desk while reading a history book. In front was a man from when he saw Aiden using the Blue Tattoo of Speed.

"So what you are saying that she died and there is no more information regarding the person who sneaked in, stole the materials meant for my little brother, and free our hostage needed to complete a quest? Is that right, Tyrin?" The blonde man was one of the officers of Golden Deer, Dean ChainTerra. He was a 2-star rank player who been playing the game for more than a year in real-time.

"Yes, Dean. Mylin was already level 10 and was moments away before breaking through to a 2-star. So, Instead of the thief, it was the NPC that he set free. She most likely killed Mylin for revenge." Tyrin said.

Tyrin and Mylin both saw Aiden activated the skill belonging to the class Avant-garde Caster, which the Golden Deer monopolized. When he told Mylin to follow him, he found out several hours that she died.

When she died, she was not able to log back into the games for 24-hours, which was twelve days in-game. Instead, she messaged one of the members of Golden Deer to tell Tyrin as soon as she died. Because of the time differences between the game and the real world, Tyrin noticed it too late and lost track of Aiden.

"Forget about him and the girl. We will just say that she died and get a partial reward from the Baron. And the material that was stolen can be bought again. This is a small matter compared to the goal. I've been researching for a statue class according to these textbooks, but I can't seem to find it. I even have the whole guild members search for a place I thought it would have had it. The statue class belongs to a 3-rank meister that was able to bring down a whole city by himself. Although I do not know the specifics of the skills, I believe it is a class that can make us a top guild." Dean said as he continued to skim through the textbook in front of him.

Tyrin agreed with his decision. Dean was a guild officer in charge of finding statue classes for the guild. Although there were hundreds of statue classes scattered all over the world, about half of them were already occupied by players and even NPCs.

Having a statue class belonging to a guild not only boost their power but also entice more members to join.

Since the statue class never disappeared even after someone change to that class, it was possible to have all their members switch to that class, as long as they can complete the requirements.

The one downside of the statue class was that they cannot be moved. The lore behind it was because each statue class represents the weigh of a star in the world of Verse-way. To move a statue class, one had to obtain the strength to move a star, which was highly improbable.

Anf If they do find it, the only option was to set up a base there. And when they do that, it was like exposing themselves that they were hiding treasure there. So, once the other players found out, it will be a war to control that area.
