Austin was amazed at the egg and expected something really powerful to hatch. Austin then went out to do an easy D-rank in the city. He felt like walking around since it was still early in the day.
After finishing the D-rank with no issues, Austin visited his friends place only to find out they weren't home. He went to a restaurant order a large amount of food to be delivered to his home. Austin joined the delivery guy and lead him to his house(driving).
Austin called out his Pokemon and they had a satisfying meal. Sylveon and togekiss followed Austin to his room. It was blazeken's turn to stay in its pokeball. Servine went out to the backyard and ingrained between two berry bushes. Noibat flew into its cave with a satisfied expression.
Austin opened the League's trainers market. He pressed on the Pokemon tab and began to look through different Pokemon available. The market structure recently had an update. This might have been caused indirectly by Austin, as now people can search by nature. The gentle and loyal nature saw an inflation in price.
Austin also notice the price on smart nature increased a bit. The league seemed to adopt his idea of using Pokemon nature. Austin browsed through a couple of Pokemon types. He wasn't sure which Pokemon he should add into his team.
Austin began to look in the water type section. For nature he put everything besides cruel(increase Atk, decrease def), mischief(increase speed, decrease atk), and impish(increase defense, decrease special atk).
Scrolling through them Austin saw some he was considering like piplup, poliwag, corfish, spheal, oshawatt, froakie, and wimpod. He wanted his first water type to be able to fight on land. He will get a second type for the sea in the future. The two Austin was nearing was froakie and wimpod. They had strong attack. Greninja has better speed and special atk. Wimpod's evolution has stronger defense and special defense.
These two were top compared to the rest. Poliwrath was difficult to tame due to its angry demeanor. Spheal has decent overall attributes but fights better at sea. Crawdaut is strong but its slow on land and weak defense. Piplup and oshawott are good but they are normal and no mutant was available on the website.
Austin was leaning towards wimpod as its evolution was a tank type and had high attack. The one online that he wanted was shiny and a mutant. The only issue was its nature basically it was stubborn. This nature raises attack and decreases sp.attack. The down side was it will be difficult to nurture it if it doesn't listen.
Austin felt he will give it a try and placed it in his online cart. He pressed checkout and was ready to order. It said that it will take two months to reach him. He was skeptical as they can use a Pokémon center to send it to him directly.
Then the reason was written below. It stated that the stronghold that this trainer lives doesn't have a transfer module. They don't even have a storage pc. It's a small stronghold the size of a village. That smaller than single district in Asadia.
Austin then confirmed the purchase and hope it will reach him earlier. Then he went to sleep. This was the second time Austin purchased a Pokémon from the website.
Next day early in the morning Austin was in his training field getting lectured by Old Man Chuck Norris.
"Kid I thought you were a talent, how come you can't even learn something as simple as using force. You must compress the energy into you arm and release it on impact. Even without aura and just relying on physical power this skill will be explosive." Lectured Norris.
He was teaching Austin and the four Pokemon Noibat, blazeken, Servine, and Sylveon how utilize their strength efficiently.
"I am trying to teach you the most important foundational move focus energy. If you are able to completely master it like you breath air, then your survivablility out their will dramatically increase.
Think about it. If your Pokemon are all in a fight and a strong Pokemon sneak attacked you. Giving you absolutely no time to dodge. Then your basically dead, unless you mastered this move to compress your force and utilize a move known as endure. This way even a direct hit from a stronger Pokemon won't kill you. At least not immediately.
Another situation would be you are on you last Pokémon the rest fainted. The opponent is strong and while fighting your Pokémon, you charged from behind and tried to distract it. Nothing you do will work except if you compress your energy focus it at the top of your fist and punch out. This move is known as focus punch.
These situations may seem unlikely but they can happen. You may even encounter a Pokémon tide out there. The ability to utilize and control you physical energy increases your survivability." Instructor Norris explained seriously.
"Teacher just watch as I will master this move soon. I will also teach my Pokémon this skill. Imagine how strong a tackle with the energy focused would be. This is a must for me to learn." Austin yelled enthusiastically.
The rest of the day Austin and his Pokémon trainer to the point of exhaustion, but still didn't start the mastery of focusing energy. This seemed much harder than what the show or game showed.
After training Austin managed to convince the old man to let him post his book for him.
The old man was already shocked when he saw how big the boy's house was. He was even surprised at the rarity of his Pokémon. So he felt Austin was the son of someone important. After talking for a while, Old man Norris finally agreed to Austin's demand. He then left telling Austin to not slack off throughout the week. He will see Austin next week as they agreed.
Austin fell into his bed after an amazing medical bath and fell asleep.
