Sounds like we’re setting it up to learn Heaven could have additional powers. I think they need to talk to Irene again. Also, I’m pretty sure she’d be able to sense if Heaven was pregnant, so it’d be nice to clear that up. I don’t think she is though. I think her illness might be supernatural. Something to do with the mark, or the witch’s curse (reza or whatever her name is, I forget), or maybe a plot of her grandfather’s.
Father and son in law talk🤭🤭Two wonderful men having a nice and smart talk, all for their lovely Heaven😍😍 Glad Zamiel came and talked about this with Lucian..hopefully they'd figure out what Lothaire really wants with Heaven. And wahh..loving how Lucian respected (and seemed to have accepted him -inwardly) Z cakes as a man for his daughter. 💕
Still waiting to hear from Zamiel what he senses in Heaven that makes her special. From the conversation between Lucian and Zamiel, they can’t seem to figure what Lothaire finds special about Heaven. I almost feel what drew Zamiel to Heaven could be the same reason Lothaire and others would draw towards Heaven.
Much respect to Zamiel for coming to Lucien to have this discussion. And clearly being the more powerful one remains respectful to HIS woman’s father and his position. And note Lucien’s thought that his daughter loves this man even more than him, and he’s ok with this. I think this is a very humbling and at the same time a very powerful chapter. I am loving this read! 🙏Thank you Jazz.
Excited to be in on the Lucian and Zamiel conversation. I wonder if they can both slow down any ancients healing. This could be beneficial b/c it would give the devil more power over ancients if Heaven or Lucian are with him. It could be used as a threat to kill them, or as an offer to help them die. The only other thing I could think of is when Irene and Lucian were dying the witch side would heal then the next time the demon side would heal. Could this possibly make them basically immortal as well? Demons already live a really long time, so I doubt this is it. I wonder if this is something that could have been hinted at earlier in this book or the previous two. If it is, then I missed it even though I've re-read at least 5+ times now.
