Primate
A true xianxia novel alright! If you're into cultivation, details, and solid universe with no BS or cheap egotistical power fantasy hijinks this is for you. Personally, it reads too stiff for my taste and there are parts which read like a young monk practicing writing scriptures, a worthy and good practice but not yet there at sounding wise/pleasing/beautiful. They're tying though- definitely trying. Too unnaturally stiff even if there are little grammatical errors and the dialogue is well thought out. It's also very heavy on the details. I respect that because obviously that's a lot of well thought out efforts bit it hits you with walls of info. Great if you're into technical cultivation and a fan of the genre. (if you're a casual reader who just wants convenient magic and some butt whooping then no). Another reader asked if this was 'Slice of Life' but I don't see it, instead I see it's a very detailed world-building. Don't try to fulfill WN's great appetite for immediate satisfaction for action and seeming randomness here. Overall very quality work but can be an info overload if you're not a fan of this genre. I saw no holes in the building thus far but it is too wooden and rheumatic. The storyline could be more personable but that's just my tastes.
The author certainly has a way of writing words that pulls a reader into their own world and doesn't let go easily. The detailed descriptions are like an added cherry to the top especially, since there are no grammatical errors in the story. This story is a way better than the normal run of the mill stories we get here on this site and its marvellous!
Part of a review swap and at time of writing, there are 32 chapters. However, reviewing after reading 20 as I already have a grasp of the story. Writing Quality: English isn't my first language so any minor grammatical errors are usually missed by me. However, there is NO way that there is any here. The writing quality is superb and the way things are described. Whoa. Stability of Updates: 5* in good faith. Story Development/Character Design/World Background: What can I say? The way the Author details the background and the characters can pull you into their world so easily. It's interesting to see how they progress and the sort of trials that they are going through. I like descriptive type novels and this one fits the bill. All the best, Author. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
