Bright Moonlight Frost On The Ground
You need to be aware before reading this that it is a very low brow comedy. This best way I can describe this is "A wannabe Marx brother clone does Xianxia" or something like that. For some reason I was expecting a normally intelligent MC forced or tricked into taking a somewhat broken or difficult system and working through the comedic problems in order to transform it onto a somewhat OP system. What I got was totally different. Sorry I don't consider constant ludicrous stupidity as funny nor do I classify it as comedy. Since this is only about stupidity, I find it to be just that, stupid. However I have to say, if you enjoy that sort of thing then you will probably find this to be absolutely hilarious and I highly recommend this to you. In that case you should consider this a 5-star review. If you have a low tolerance for abject stupidity then stay far away from this. Since I am in this category, my personal rating is less than 1-star and my advice is avoid at all costs. What experience you have will depend upon what direction your sense of humor heads in.
I was laughing too hard that my stomach was hurting. This novel has a hilarious, fresh and enjoyable. The first 3 chapter seems a bit cliche, Getting a system, transport to another Continent that let you cultivate. Except that everything was very fun, there's no force plot like he suddenly comprehend some heaven defying technique, or some ultra jenius suddenly feel offend and want to bully the MC. Everything was fresh! The Author really bring a Fresh breath to the now toxic world full of cliche Cultivation novel. The system the MC got was a troll, I don't want to spoil anything but presently the system hasn't been fully explored by MC because of his Low Cultivation Base. This is the first review I write and English was not my First Language so have a mercy on me.
Sorry, my review is pretty bad. I read this and wasn’t laughing at all. I don’t dislike the writing and it gets pretty hectic at times. I don’t see this as hilarious and I find myself wondering why everyone laughs at some parts. I don’t get it. The story is okay, well- written, cliched and epic. But to me, the comedy is non-existent. If you are looking for laughs, I cannot guarantee you will. - In terms of the types of reviews I’ve seen the average triple ratio is 90% found it funny/refreshing. 5% found it not hilarious. 5% is other.
Fun story, doesn't really fall into the trap of most of these types of stories. The issue being that they're charging some insane **** to read it. Like 100 SS per chapter. That would mean every 5 chapters is 10$. That means 50 chapters is 100$.... 500 chapters is 1000$. Greed has made these people LOSE THEIR FREAKIN MINDS. I don't think it needs to be said, but don't support this garbage
Yawn. The mc is an idiot. No I mean he really is. University age on earth but acts like he is 8. His system was used like a whole 1/2 a chapter. ++ for the classmates not being a$$holes. So that’s a trope that was avoided. After 8 chapters I had to stop. If you like ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ and ‘Dumb and Dummer’ then this novel is for you.
Starts off nice and refreshing and soon just becomes fart jokes and repetitive non humor. Situations are way too forced, nothing in the story flows naturally. It's just one big fragmented HDD of wholly missed 'parody' and cringy grade school humor coupled with revomited lame anime-esque tropes. I would advise not reading unless you are looking to get mind syphilis.
So I read about 45-46 chapter ....I don't know why people are giving 1 star...btw I'm not going to criticize as everyone has their own opinion...and I respect that...as for me it is a very good novel and hilarious...don't know what going to happen in future ...but for now it's 4.8 star...as I think character development is little bit lacking...
This is a good novel, I daresay! If you're not willing to go through at least 80 chapters then don't bother leaving a sh*tty review! The plot is good, the comedy is great, but there is only one thing I am a bit concerned about. That is - I hope this novel doesn't have any of those racist 'nationalism' crap that keeps popping up every now and then on other novels.
Was looking forward to the System vs MC dynamic but that basically disappears by chapter 100. It only shows up randomly to annoy the MC. Progress basically turns into generic cultivation but is lock stepped by the system. Power progressions feels completely forced and only serves to let MC fight stronger enemies. This is especially true when his friends also start progressing like xianxia MCs. Humor is mostly low brow and 90% of the jokes don't work, and serves to make the MC look retarded. The author also makes the MC retarded for that matter. I guess it feeds back into the low brow humor and gives it a reason to exist. Story isn't cohesive. Feels like most chapters are just filler of go here, get item/inheritance, but item/inheritance doesn't really matter because system will randomly give a new overpowered skill. Character and world development is underwhelming. I can't even form an idea of what clothes the characters are wearing beyond generic ancient Chinese clothing. Tl:dr Original premise is basically given up for filler chapters of meaningless events of low brow humor. Arbitrary power progression introduces new enemies and events to recycle filler. Character development, world building, etc takes a backseat to the above.
Someone walk on sidewalk : Everyone was so surprised they felt like dying Someone eats food WITH SPOON : Why you do dat i am so surprised my jaws fall Someone shoots GUN at ENEMIES and BULLET EXPLODES : Jaws drop, wow, such wow, surprised as **** yo This is the comedy in this novel. Everytime anyone does anything everyone else feels like fainting or gets flabbergasted. Also racist novel, they called taiwan a provnice in chapter 2
I was skeptical of the story at first when I saw several bad reviews but as I read through chapter after chapter which I throughly enjoyed I can say those reviews are not true to the story’s true quality. The novel has many funny moments And has characters that break the standard mold of cultivation stories. I think with how much I enjoyed it I can put it there among several great comedic books such as my master disconnected yet again and other works by You Qian
