The Xi men are really useless. they get brow beaten by their second wives. it really makes me wonder about their heads. As for Xiaye’s father, I believe he was forced to marry due to pressure from the Yue family and his step mother. I do not believe she didn’t plot with the Yue family. After all, his second wife was his first wife’s best friend. in addition the stepmother is so greedy when it comes to monet, power and prestige that she looked doen on Xiaye’s mother.
