The story is really dragging out at this point. He went from wanting her to like him to being nonchalant. The author isn't solving any of the problems with QX's sister and her family, now we are getting the unreasonable Gu family. I'm over this novel. It's the same plot that plays out with every new protagonist introduced.

For some reason, my likeness for grandma Mu reduced. No one is telling you not to fawn over your son. She could have gone out to spend the New year with them since Mu Chen compromised. There was no need for them to all be together and act like nothing happened. Filial piety was the chain Song Ning and grandma Mu used to bind MC and it's sad to see.

She's MC aunt. His father married his mother's sister. Apparently they loved each other but he married MC's mother first then betrayed her by getting together with her sister. I can't remember what chapter it was explained. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It's fluff between ML and FL. He does stay chaste. The only argument they had was when FL felt deceive by ML because he accepted her proposal just to avenge his father. She felt deceived because she let him know why she wanted to be with him, but he never let her know his own reason which turned out to be vicious. They get over it quickly and it's sweeter from there on.

The author is dragging the side stories. I'm over it already. I enjoyed this novel because of the Mu family and that's about it.

I'm sorry, but him sending flowers everyday is very off-putting especially when she doesn't even have him in mind and he hasn't expressed his feelings yet.

What happened to all the years without him? He didn't remember YJ then, and he didn't search for him either. His son was a freaking celebrity, yet this "noble" father didn't seek him out to know about his wellbeing. There's no need to make him into the best father in the world. The fact still remains that he abandoned his son. If YJ didn't show up in front of him, we probably wouldn't know about this father anyway.
