Pillow Heart

I felt myself hugging the pillow so tight while Kenji was tapping playing with it too. So this isn't dream? What if I am in a double dream? Later I would wake up and everything will be gone or like normal.

Reeve removed a hair that's blocking my face. His hand his warm and gentle. Warm and gentle... So this is real...?

"Sachie I'm really happy that you gave me a chance to be with you and Kenji. This might sound a little selfish of me but I want it to be real. I want us to be a real family soon. Of course if you would allow that to happen. Anyway I'll leave the decision up to you but all I'm asking is for you to give me a chance to show you how much you mean to me."

You know if he wasn't here I would have shouted and stomped my foot and act like crazy. I can't right now because I have to be composed as much as possible but boy I really want to jump with joy right now. What I only did was nod in agreement.

"Thank you" he said and looked down shyly. He just confessed and if I am in his shoes I would probably ran away as soon as I splurt those words that I liked him.

I looked down too and noticed his watch. I have to go and prepare. What a perfect timing to end this moment.

"You have to go and prepare now."

"Yeah..." I left the pillow with Kenji because he's playing with it a lot. I stood up and started my preparations. It's like I don't care today. I'm happy. As in I feel like floating.

I can't hide my happiness today. When I recall the events this morning I can't help but smile and feel something warm on my cheeks. The girls were teasing about me having a valentine's date tonight that's why I'm so happy today. Well I didn't tell them anything yet. You know like I don't want to jinx it. Somethings are better kept personal at times.

The management gave chocolates to everyone. While the others are eating them I decided to keep mine because it's better when it's shared with someone. Someone special.

I still dropped by a nearby restaurant to get some take-out dinner because at this time Reeve is still sleeping. I bought some small cakes too so we'll have something for dessert.

When I came at the door I saw a rose hanging on the door knob. I took it and smelled it. It's my second rose for the day. Don't tell me he prepared something tonight too. That will be too much sweetness for the day. I took a deeo breath and opened the door.

I stood frozen as I saw a dimly lit room. The mattress was covered with a red blanket like we are about to have a picnic. In the middle was some food and drinks prepared already. There's also a bouquet of flowers beside it. Suddenly a soft music was heard. I think I knew the song. What was the title again.

I smiled. The song is titled 'Love Someone'. I walked slowly towards the mattress and dropping the bags in my hand on the side before walking into it. I don't know where are they right now. Maybe hiding somewhere. I sat and picked up the bouquet and smelled it. He's so sweet. But I have to hide it a little. He's asking for a chance to show it so I will let him.

I felt myself singing together with the music as I sat there and observed the place.

Reeve's room opened and both of them came out. I laughed a little when I both saw them wearing red. Like it's a must to wear something red on this season.

They sat in front of me and greeted me a 'Happy Valentines Day'. He was holding Kenji firmly because if you let this little one go it'll be a problem. He would crawl fast and far away.

"Oh by the way I bought dinner too!" I took the bag and laid it together with the other food.

"Let's dig in!" he said and we ate in silence. Kenji was trying to get a piece of what he was eating but instead he gave a piece of steamed vegetable.

"By the way I have some desserts for us too" I took the Ferrero Rocher from my bag. It's just three piece though but I liked this one.

"Tadaa!" I handed him the chocolate and his eyes were like twinkling. I knew he loved this one. He just buys this once in a while since its a little expensive and he can finish the whole box in one sitting.

"The company was giving out these ones. So sweet of them." I remarked. He stopped on what he was eating and started opening the box. This guy really has a sweet tooth.

"You want this Kenji?" he was teasing the baby while keeping it away from him. "No baby not good for your teeth. " he still don't have teeth lols. But Kenji was so persistent after dropping the vegetable that he gave. So in the end he ended up giving Kenji an unopened one to play with.

After eating we both cleaned the bed cause we use it for sleeping and good thing that he had this plastic cover intended for the table that you could use for boodle fight eating. Aha maybe next time we could do that but it will be fun if we are many.

He continued preparing for work too. You know how we are working people. So know matter how much we want to stay at home we will go because we have a lot of responsibilities. Adulting it is.

We were sitting and playing in the mattress when Reeve bids his goodbye.

"Good night Sachie. Thank you for the wonderful night." he grins like he usually does but this time his smile is so gentle and his eyes were like glowing.

"No... I should be the one thanking you. Thank you Reeve. I really appreciate everything."

"You're welcome. I have to go now. See you later."

"Take care!"

Take care of my heart soon... I touched the pillow heart that he gave me.

Don't worry... I'll take care of this heart too... Like I always do...
