Ant Armors need a lot of Cores to function, which has to come from somewhere, and that means less Ants with maxed out Cores before evolving. I wish Anthony would at least briefly listen to a report on the logistics and economy before committing to something, maybe those running the daily things in the Colony know what they're doing and wish to keep it small-scale for the time being (perhaps when more Smiths reach Tier 5 it will make more sense to spend resources on the Armor)

I like their progress. But I really hope the author dont let the Colony too OP with all the progress. I stop read some of "isekai" theme novels cause the MC just too OP and make everything so easy for MC and his/her team. Could the ants not use aphids to generate cores ? the basic core just requires the water or am I not understanding that correctly. That way they could generate a lot of low level cores but better low level than none ?

somehow i cant picture heavy armour on ants as they already have an exo skeleton with mutations maybe weapons if its like attachments and accessories that can be mounted for specific situations as add on and auxs like xtra mana supply, environment/temperature unit, adamante tipped legs or mandibles. alot of things become redundant thats if we are sticking to ant physiology my best idea would be magi gears smithant will learn metal n ores can be used for more than swords and shield things like projectiles generators storage and vehicles the x factor is what can enchantment really do

After his fight with that armored golgari i figured he was gonna get some enchanted armor as well.
