Chapter 1I know....! I.... think!

Please read at https://www.webnovel.com/book/10652332406088605/Over-the-Top-%3A-The-Track-to-Fame

Ahhh... what am I going to do?

I wish life could be easy... I wish we can just freelance in life.

How would life be? If you can do anything, can be anything...

No norms, regulations or rules...

A teenager sighed as he closed his rather old-modeled laptop. He had just uploaded a video to the internet of him dancing.

I love doing this, but...

He rolled around on his bed, hugging a pillow.

"Luke! Come down for dinner!"

The teenager shut his eyes closed and pondered hard.

Ahhh forget it, dinner's waiting for me! Time never waits! Dinner doesn't either!

He woke up from his bed. His hair was messy but looked kept. His face looked lazily attractive and charming. Usually, a mischevious smile would occupy that handsome sculpted face. But now, it just had resoluteness and belief.

....

Lucas ran down hurriedly and saw his mother serving dinner at the table and his father apathetically watching the news.

"Oh, what's on the news?" Lucas asked cautiously.

Okay before you get confused, of course, I can see! I'm not blind okay? I just need to confirm his mood!

His father had no reaction.

"Mhmm, okay." Okay, his father seems calm. Let's do it!

...

"Uhh, Dad...?"

Silence prevailed the entire room. The only noise was the news-reporter speaking too fast for the ears to comprehend.

....

"You... remember asking me what I wanted to do right...?"

Lucas gulped.

"I found a passion, a dream! I know what I want to do!" Lucas instinctively lowered his head while saying this. Painful to tell it, joyful in his heart. He didn't even know what he was feeling.

His heart was beating furiously. If he messed up today, his entire life will be in regret.

"I love doing this, to the point where I want it to be my life!"

Lucas grits his teeth and spoke the words which were in his chest for years. He felt like crying when he told this. He never knew why his dream felt so far away.

"I think I want to pursue dancing and singing as my career!"

Lucas broke the ice. It was so hard for him to say these words. His raven-black hair brushed his cheeks as he nervously looked above.

His father did not respond and continued to watch the news while his mother glanced at him once.

After some time.

"...Amber, water"

Amber immediately brought water to her husband and tactfully left the room.

Please give the book a chance. I'm not the greatest of synopsis writers, as I am sure some of you can tell and the book may be slow at first due to the setup and lead in. But I promise it will getting more interesting as it goes along. Scene excerpt from the story: "You didn't happen to think it was important to tell before now?! The princess was furious with the other woman. "I.." She paused for a second to swallow, "I never thought that it would come down to this. I promise though that they wouldn't do anything terrible." "They said the same thing to my father.. but they were wrong. I don't trust anyone's word." The princess replied standing up. The more her anger rose, the darker her eyes got. "You should just be fortunate that I am not my father. Do you know what he did when faced with a similar situation?" with no reply, she continued "He killed almost all of them. You could say it was a massacre. Me, I won't got that far, but if anything happens to him, I will personally kill the person who touches him."
