Loved, not love

"Okay, Quit it, melodrama did not suit you." Xia Sha sips her red wine elegantly, ignoring Xiao Zhan's helpless face.

Xiao Zhan shook his head and hissed, "Forget it, I forgot how heartless you can be sometimes."

Xia Sha laughed and Xiao Zhan followed. Some matters were unspeakable just because people did not want to appear weak. That's exactly what happens to Xia Sha and Xiao Zhan.

Both are a product from a broken home family, with a cheater father. At that time, they might share a mutual feeling of love. But both have completely no confidence in trusting each other.

It was a love that they bound to miss.

Rather than adding a list of heartache and headache, Xia Sha rather not to mention it at all.

"I heard you are finally back to your family company?" Xiao Zhan long finger tapping on the glass as he looks at Xia Sha. Xia Sha nodded and replied, "I should never leave in the first place."

Looking back to the thing she has done, she utterly felt stupid. She once has vowed not to be blinded by man, abandoned her throne to be a tool. What a fool she has been?

Xiao Zhan agreed with Xia Sha's word. She shouldn't have left the Xia family in the first place, for now, Xia Family is facing a big setback. "I could never understand what you see in that Ling guy."

Xiao Zhan would be a great pretender if he could completely hide his hostility towards Ling Guang.

Xia Sha lips turn into a soft smile as she looked down, it's a long paused of silence before she finally opens up to Xiao Zhan. "If not for him, I might become a drug addict today..."

Xiao Zhan's finger stop tapping, he looks at Xia Sha with disbelief. He tried to smiles and said, "It just a drug, trying once or twice won't make you an addict."

Upper social circle if after all is the messiest of all. Many of them are an addict, they just hide it too well behind the pile of money.

Xia Sha stayed on her position, but her lips turn into a wider smile, she shook her head gently. "Yeah, but still he is that moon appears on my long scary night."

Xiao Zhan's body stiffens, Xia Sha's little helpless smile actually looks like a mockery in his eyes. His eyelash moves slowly as he blinked.

He can be that moon, he used to be that moon for Xia Sha. Both of them have a similar family condition. Around the time Xia Qi Feng and Shen Xia Fei divorced, he is still Xia Sha's boyfriend.

He proudly stands there beside her, claiming that she could rely on him. He wouldn't leave her even if everyone leaves.

Yet, when he finally faces the same problem with Xia Sha, he crumbles down and shuts everyone off. Even pushing away the woman that wanted to help him.

He even fake cheat to broke up with her.

It was hard for the words to roll out of his mouth, he realized it was 6 years late but he finally did it. "Xia Sha, I'm sorry."

Guilt and shame were written all over his immaculate and handsome face. He couldn't even bring himself to look back at Xia Sha who happily laughing right now.

"What are you apologizing for? We are just stupid teenagers back then. We don't even understand our own feeling." Xia Sha grinned and playfully hit Xiao Zhan's arm with her small fist.

Xiao Zhan smile wryly.

"You don't? Because I did." He shows his boyish grin and sips his drink again. The bitter drink did not felt bitter at all, in fact, it was incomparable to the bitterness in his heart.

Xia Sha rolls her eyes and shows her row of white teeth. She shrugged and nonchalantly answer, "Liar! The only reason why you date me is that I'm the cheerleader leader."

"Right, that because you tried so hard to date me I finally give you the chance," he jokes and points at Xia Sha. "Just admit it!"

Xia Sha whacked those fingers and pursed her lips. "Sorry, this Queen never even try to steal the playboy heart."

Xiao Zhan is the captain of the Imperial Highschool Basketball team, while Xia Sha is the cheerleader captain. As shallow as how it heard, they felt like they just meant to date, meant to be the power couple, meant to be the object of another student envious gaze.

No one thought they also meant to share the same fate.

Xiao Zhan nodded and simply answer, "She stole and never give it back."

Xia Sha giggles and elbowed his elbow. "I gave it away since he is such an asshole."

"Awe, why? I thought cheater man is your personal preference." He said. Xia Sha might felt offended if anyone else said that to her, but coming from Xiao Zhan's mouth she did not.

Xia Sha let a small chuckle and earnestly look at her finger, there lay the cold, hard precious metal she always cherishes in the past.

"I swear he is a good man in the past."

Xiao Zhan followed her trace of gaze and look at the beautiful ring embracing her slender fair finger. His eye turns bleak but still penitent.

If he did not mess up, he should be the one who chooses the ring and give it to her. They won't be sitting in Rendezvous with a depressed face.

"You must really love him huh?" Xiao Zhan asked bitterly. Xia Sha nods once but correcting him.

"Loved, not love. Xiao Zhan, I would be lying if I said I did not love him in the past. He is there when everyone left." She smiles wryly.

Xiao Zhan looks at her, his lips were pressed against each other.

"Xia Sha..." he called her out slowly. Can you give me a second chance? he desperately wanted to asked.

"Xiao Zhan, I've decided to never fall in love again. I don't think I could gather myself once again after this. I could not bear the consequence of loving someone anymore." her voice was incredibly soothing, gentle but powerful at the same time.

Xiao Zhan felt as if they were alone, despite sitting in the middle of people.

She gives him a last smile before she stood up and walk away. Xiao Zhan's grip on the glass tightens, he almost losing all his control to not smash it into the ground.

He's not angry at anyone but himself. Alas, he could not go back to the past. In the end, he could only whisper to Xia Sha's small back that slowly disappeared.

Xia Sha felt her head starts to spin as she knew the alcohol starts to get into her system. She clearly knew she needs to get out of this club.

She walks slowly with her 7 cm heels, gathering attention from the people on the corridor. She shows a faint smile, almost like a monkey and a mixture of a smirk.

"Xia Sha, you really useless..." She stops at the end of the corridor, one last step before she walks out of the club room. There are even more smoke and people's gaze, but she did not care.

Like an ice queen, she did not look approachable.

She raised her finger slowly, once again looking at the ring with a wry expression. It could be said that the ring did not really have good quality.

If a prong hadn't broken, the shank bent or the stone had fallen out. Nevertheless, to say, it's a very bad quality engagement ring.

Ling Guang has bought it as his commitment to her second year of dating. It's definitely not something Xia Sha would ever wear, heck she wouldn't even look at this ring if she walks passed the street. But it's something that Ling Guang bought after save up for half a year.

She cherished incredibly with all her heart. Even when Zheng Shuang and Kai Xin claimed that they would rather break up than wear her ring.

Suddenly it's become so funny in Xia Sha's mind. She downgraded that much just for a man that and up being a cheater.

"Hah..." She sighs a cryptic sadness form in her eyes.

"That's a very interesting ring..." Someone commented, a masculine voice with ridiculous bad breath.

Xia Sha immediately walks away from him but failed in the attempt as the man grabbed her wrist forcefully.

"Aw, a savage, we man love this time the most." He tried to pull Xia Sha into his embrace. Imagine her body touch the man is another form of nightmare. She tried hard to fight back.

"Let me go!" She yelled, trying to pull her hand from his grasp.

As beauty responded, the man's face lighten up. "You are such a babe, even your voice is arousing me right now. Wait until you screaming my name."

He said it with such a weird Chinese, Xia Sha almost couldn't understand him.

This time, a man comes from the entrance his face was dark and furious. He looks like he's in rush but stops anyway when he caught Xia Sha's petite figure.

He looks surprised, raising his eyebrow at the scene appear in front of him. His eyes meet Xia Sha's and both stunned at the same time.

The man gained his self-control and finally face change into a bright smile. "Xia Sha, so you've arrived. Director Tan Kun, this is my fiancee, Xia Sha!"

Xia Sha's eyes traveling from Ling Guang to Director Tan Kun's. She understands what Ling Guang wanted to do immediately.

"Xia Sha this is Director Tan Kun from Thailand, He's interested in Bright Electronic new project and planned to invest 500 million." Ling Guang looking smug. He wanted to show her that he is capable even after the mess she creates for him.

Xia Sha chuckles.

"Hah, Ling Guang I don't know you are this low." She looked down on Ling Guang, while quickly seize the opportunity to release her hand from Director Tan Kun's grasp.

Ling Guang jaw clenched in anger after hearing Xia Sha's mockery. But he quickly naturalized his face for Director Tan Kun.

The fat man did loosen up his hand, but eyes still traveling widely all over Xia Sha's body. "Mr.Ling you are one lucky man," He commented.

"Ms.Xia it's turn out a fiancee of Mr.Ling! I'm so sorry for just now." He said, smiling wide after hearing Ling Guang answers.

"Ah, it's okay, in fact since you have a good impression of Xia Sha, She can accompany you on tonight dinner."

Director Tan Kun almost jumped out of excitement. Imagining this girl under his embrace has satisfied both his ego and needs.
