100 days to Make the CEO Love Me

"Is my fate already written according to the stars or do I create my own destiny?" Li Suji only has one hundred days before she turns twenty-five, and that also means she only has one hundred days left to find her reincarnated prince. She has no clue about the said man aside from the fact that she'll find him working at the Seo Publishing Company, and that the reincarnated prince will also have the same birthmark as she has, the mermaid's tail binds them together as the fated couple. She managed to enter the company as a trainee editor on probation as she heard through connections. Chaos arrives when she got tied with two CEO's at the same time. Will she be able to break her curse and make the reincarnated prince fall in love with her in this current life? +++ A scene suddenly came right through my eyes, as if it was directly right in front of me. This time, I was aware that I was not experiencing it firsthand though it still happened from my point of view. I was there, tending someone, probably a man. I was unbuttoning two buttons in his shirt because he was sweating too much. I was holding a wet towel in my hand and started to wipe his neck using it. "It tickles, why are you wiping my body so lightly?" The man asked, it seemed like a very familiar voice but I couldn't pinpoint who. I wasn't looking at the man since I was so preoccupied with looking at his perfectly sculpted body. "You shouldn't be doing that, no-no, you should do it the hard way." "H-huh??" The hard way? "Yes, should I do it instead?" He sat up, unbuttoned his shirt, took my hand, and guided me to wipe his neck down to his chest, abdomen, navel until his pelvis, "You should do it like this, okay?" As I was trying to hide the embarrassment of touching his body---I was touching the man's body with a towel, something caught my attention. Lower than his navel but the upper right side of his pelvis, I saw a mermaid's tail's fin. I scooted over, held the garter of his pants, and pulled it downwards. Voila. It was the mermaid's tail. Perfectly the same as mine. He's the one that I am looking for. I don't doubt it. I am one hundred percent sure! He's the reincarnated prince that I am looking for, for so long. The man grabbed my hand and made me look at his face. Sadly, I couldn't see who he was clearly. "What are you doing to a sick man's house, not to mention pulling his pants? Do you want to get yourself in trouble?" Yes, that's right. I'm already in trouble. +++ This story focuses on the reality of the workplace setting (office romance), slice-of-life, rom-com with tiny bits of fantasy elements. The setting is in modern-day Korea, I am not a Korean native so there might be some things that are not 100% accurate nor does it reflect the society and the country alone. The story focuses on character development and how the main characters grow in terms of love and life, has cliche and is a slow burn romance. Will this home visit lead into SOMETHING?! (2)

Inhale.

Exhale.

Gathering all of my strength, I dragged Seungwoo's whole upper body and threw him on his sofa. Phew. Carrying a 180 cm guy sure is quite heavy for me. Seungwoo's body plopped on the bed as I tried to elevate his legs and put his upper body in a normal sleeping position. I crouched at his side and stared at him. He was sleeping on his right side, arms out, facing me. He seemed to be tired and overfatigued. His lips were dry, and he was sweating. I put my hand on his forehead and got shocked by how hot his temperature was.

I looked around the room. Seungwoo's whole room apartment uses dark gray and black colors, it did not make the small space appear smaller, but it gave the room a dynamic and splendorous touch. It seemed like a simple two-hundred-square-meter studio that uses reflective surfaces, bold dark colors, and shining metal accents to create a visually dramatic impact and sophisticated atmosphere. The living space is expanded vertically rather than horizontally, introducing the white frames of floor and walls, and the design anchors the terrace-evolvement of the dark details.

Everything seemed perfect. The apartment was neat and well-maintained, and it doesn't seem like a bachelor was living in it. The ambiance seemed too perfect. The atmosphere seemed familiar, and I looked around and realized that the overall vibe of this whole apartment was similar to when I had a 'vision' about discovering the mermaid's tail birthmark.

So.

Does that mean Kim Seungwoo is the man in that vision? My eyes widened at the sudden realization. Does that mean he is the reincarnated prince I have been looking for so long?!

Adrenaline rushed over my body as I felt a sudden burst of energy, with the combination of feeling happiness and excitement at the same time. I trembled at the thought of finally meeting the person who I have been longing for so long, for almost five hundred years ago. Mom was right. The person I am looking for is nearer than I thought. Destiny must have been a part of this all along.

Trying to calm me down, I inhaled and exhaled a few more times, then I went over to the small kitchen and found out that he only has an electric stove, a microwave oven, and a fridge. I saw the refrigerator right beside the kitchen cabinets. I opened it, and I only saw a bunch of bottled water.

This guy is good at organizing and cleaning things, but it doesn't seem that he is taking good care of himself. I sighed. I bent down and opened the cabinets below. I found some plates and utensils used for eating, and most of them were already with dust. I washed them with the dishwashing soap available and water. I left them for a while to get air-dried while I took a bottle of water from the fridge and poured water into the glass for me to drink. And another one for Seungwoo to drink.

I went over to the table in his living room and took out the lunchboxes that I prepared. I organized them neatly while preparing the chopsticks that I washed earlier, putting some kimbap and kimchi on the plate. I sat on the sofa and exhaled slowly. I came here with honest feelings of worries, but instead, I came here with an ulterior motive. That is to confirm everything and find Mr. Kim Seungwoo's birthmark, and of course, make him fall in love with me!

Leaning myself on the sofa, I covered my eyes using my right arm as the light was annoyingly shining so bright that I felt like my eyes would go blind. Okay, not to that extent that it would make me blind, but you know what I am saying, right? I got tired from making all of that kimbap while packing kimchi, peaches, and oranges nicely.

Suddenly feeling like someone else was standing in front of me, I focused on the man's figure. It was Mr. Kim. I sat up straight and offered him the glass of water that I prepared beforehand.

"Thanks," he said softly. I barely heard him while drinking the glass of water that I gave him. "Did I pass out?"

Guiding him to sit right next to me, I handed over the pair of chopsticks and got the glass from him, "Yes, you did. What did you do to make yourself this sick and tired? You seem dehydrated too."

"Aren't you worrying too much about me?" He playfully laughed as he ate a piece of tuna kimbap on the plate. "I'm doing fine."

"Chew slowly," I stared at his messy hair as he was chewing pieces of kimbap and kimchi. "You don't have to stay here for me, and it's okay for you to go now."

"Wow," I rolled my eyes and raised my right brow. "After I carried you all the way here inside your apartment, you are just going to shoo me after?"

"Yes," he affirmed. "I mean, you do notice that I live alone, right?"

"So, what if you are living alone?" I asked, but he didn't reply. I thought about it carefully and realized what he meant. "I mean. We are friends, am I right? No malice, I am just worried about you, is all."

"Do you think," he gave me a half-smile showing his left dimple all over. "that there is a friendship between a man and a woman?"

"I'm not sure," I tilted my head as a sign of confusion. "Why do you ask?"

"Nothing,"

There was a silent pause. Oh my, is the conversation just going to end like this? I stared at his body while trying to think of some ways to trigger that event wherein he would be lying on his bed, and I will be wiping his body with a small towel. But before that, I must say something!

"Did you get rained on after we parted yesterday?" I asked in an awkward tone of voice.

"Yes,"

"Why?" I investigated. "Didn't you bring an umbrella?"

"No, I didn't." He answered. "I got rained on for a few minutes only. I think it was because I was overly-fatigued with work."

"I see,"

"Aren't you going?"

"I'll tend to you for a bit," I insisted as I scooted near him and put my right hand on his forehead, "You are burning hot. Don't you have any thermometer here?"

He snorted, "It's because I am hot and sexy."

"You're joking around now that you have eaten," I gave him a playful tap on the arm. "Don't you get embarrassed saying all those things yourself?"

"No," He shook his head, "I don't get embarrassed. Would you be embarrassed if you were telling the truth?"

"Ohohoho," I gave a weird laugh as I tapped his arm again. It is an old trick of a flirtatious sign, and I can't believe I'm using this to Kim Seungwoo. "You are such a funny guy."T

"You know," He paused for a while and furrowed his brows, "You are acting strange."

"Am I?" I laughed nervously and looked away from his gaze. "You're exaggerating things."
