Shadows

"Are you okay!?" Minyul yellped while still drowsy from sleeping.

"I have three pairs of wings!?" Tatsuya yelled surprised while looking at his wings.

He flapped his wings up and down trying to control him, but he pressed his fingers on the bridge of his nose in pain from his hangover.

"Are you okay?" Minyul asked with concern.

"Yeah yeah I'm fine, it's just a hangover. I'll just take some medicine and I'll be fine." he said while getting up to get some medicine. He took two pills and closed the curtains so there would be less light in his room. He sat back onto the bed and continued to try to use his wings.

Minyul kept watching Tatsuya. When Tatsuya successfully lifted up all his wings and smiled, he couldn't help but laugh. Tatsuya looked so adorable with his curious and happy face, he looked so innocent.

"Hey, don't laugh!" Tatsuya yelled while shying away in embarrassment.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Do you want to train today so you can figure out some other powers and how to use your wings?" Minyul asked.

"Yeah, once my hangover goes away."

"Ok, I'm gonna go make breakfast. You rest and come out of the room when you're ready." Minyul said before walking out of the room.

Tatsuya was very curious about his wings. He couldn't help but touch them and want to try to move them. He gently took one of his feathers into his hands and ran his fingers over it. It felt soft and delicate, but yet strong. He tried to move all his wings up again, though he failed. He couldn't get all of his wings to fully extend and spread out. He kept trying, but eventually gave up once his migraine went away. He exited the room to see Minyul in his apron while setting up the table and food cooking on the stove.

"Hello master, you can sit down. Breakfast will be ready soon." Minyul said with a smile.

Tatsuya sat down and waited patiently for his meal. He sniffed the delicious aroma and was greeted by a savory smell.

A few minutes later, Minyul brought over their breakfast. He had made hash browns with scrambled eggs and bacon. Tatsuya hungrily ate everything and had a satisfied smile when he was done. The two finished getting ready and was on their way to school.

That day at school was very boring. During lunch Minyul had to take a test during his lunch since he didn't do well the first time. While Minyul was in the classroom, Tatsuya was all alone. He got his lunch without problems, but when he went over to his spot, he was stopped by a group of bullies who were waiting for him.

"Hey Tatsuya, where's your body guard?" the boy asked mockingly while the other three surrounded him and pushed him against the wall.

Tatsuya stayed quiet while cursing them in his mind.

They knocked his plate out of hand and held his arms down so he couldn't defend himself.

"You know, you haven't gotten a beating in a long time ever since Minyul showed up, so everyone thinks he's your bodyguard. But where is he now?" he said mockingly while standing in front of Tatsuya.

He punched Tatsuya in his stomach which made him lurch forward and cough. He glared at the boy who punched him, but forced himself to stay in control.

The boy grabbed Tatsuya's chin, forcing him to look up. He chuckled when he saw how helpless and defenseless Tatsuya was.

They continued to beat Tatsuya. He groaned in pain as they punched him in his stomach and on his face. Moments later, he lost control. The shadows and darkness that first appeared when he lost control, were back. The shadows gathered around him into a huge dark mass before dispersing and taking human like forms. Two figures appeared, one was male while the other was female. They both had pale ivory skin and pitch black hair that shined blue in the sunlight. Their eyes were cat like and were a shiny red color. They both wore black leather boots with black ripped jeans, a white t-shirt with a black cross on the front, and a black hooded cloak with a blood red cross along the back. Both also had two black wings that layed relaxed beneath the cloak. Tatsuya's eyes had turned from his normal coloration to a piercing dark blue. The force pushed the group of boys away from Tatsuya and onto the floor.

"W-what's gping on!?" the leader boy yelled.

"I don't know, but I'm out of here." one of the other boys said while getting up in an attempt to run away.

Right when he turned to try to leave, the shadow woman flashed in front of him blocking his path. He stumbled and fell backward in horror as he stared into her blood red eyes. More shadows appeared and dragged all the boys to kneel before Tatsuya. The shadows kept all four of the in place while they struggled to get free. The shadows climbed up their bodies and slowly began to choke and suffocate them.

The leader of the group glared at Tatsuya with disgust, "You are a monster."

These words brought Tatsuya back to his senses as the words rang in his ears. His eyes returned to normal and the shadows all disappeared. The boys gasped for air and coughed as they stared at Tatsuya in fear. Before they had a chance to run away, Tatsuya's eyes flashed to pale white, erased their memories and made them fall asleep. After a moment of silence, the wind blew and he ran into the patch of woods to his special spot and sat there for the rest of lunch.

'Why did I do that? I got angry and then I couldn't control it.' Tatsuya thought with worry while holding his head, 'I need to tell Minyul.'

Tatsuya was very anxious during the last period of the day and once the final bell rang, he sprinted to their meeting spot in front of the school's main building. Once he got there he was panting and hunching over with his hands on his knees.

"What's wrong?" Minyul asked.

"I'm fine, I'm fine, I just have something really important to tell you." he said.

"What is it?"

"I was able to unlock another one of my powers earlier."

"What was the power?" Minyul asked anxiously.

"I was able to control the shadows around me and when I did, the shadows took human like forms." Tatsuya explained.

"Was anyone harmed while you used this new found power?"

Tatsuya looked down at the floor and wouldn't answer his question.

"Tatsuya answer me, did you hurt anyone?" Minyul asked again in frustration.

"Yes and no, I didn't physically hurt them and I erased their memories so they don't remember anything." he quickly said.

Minyul placed his hand on his chin and thought for a moment before grabbing Tatsuya's hand and pulling him to their abandoned building training area which was about five blocks away from the school.

"What are we doing here?"

"You're going to show me your new power." Minyul said while putting up a barrier around Tatsuya, "Now go."

Tatsuya concentrated on the anger he felt before and used that to his advantage, seconds later, the two figures appeared again and were in a battle stance on either side of Tatsuya. His eyes had changed into the dark blue as he stared at Minyul who looked at him in awe.

'He was able to summon servants and he can bend shadows to his will in general. He is amazing.' Minyul thought as he stared at Tatsuya with loving and admiring eyes. He looked like a pleased and happy father.

Soon Tatsuya deactivated his power and the servants vanished once again. He summoned them over and over again to try to learn how to control them. By the end of their training session, he was able to summon them and the shadows. without getting drained or losing control and he was able to learn how to control them just by thinking. If he thought of something that he wanted them to do, they would do it without hesitation.

"I guess we're gonna push your wing training to another day." Minyul said while chuckling and helping Tatsuya walk.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm hungry lets go home." Tatsuya replied.

"What would you want to eat tonight?"

"Hmmmm, I want to eat steak, potatoes, and stir fried mushrooms and spinach." Tatsuya said excitedly.

"Okay, I'll make that for you."

The two walked back home to eat their dinner and went to sleep, sharing a bed.
