As he left the school, there was a spring in Arata's step. He felt happy and content and a big smile was plastered on his face. He basically skipped back to the apartment. Not only had he helped Tamaki, but Tamaki had also opened up to him about his troubles. They exchanged phone numbers, talked, studied, and got along. Just the thought made Arata very happy.
Then, it dawned on him, "Aw crap! I forgot to invite him to Tatsuya and Minyul's fashion show. Though I don't particularly want to go, I thought that at least it would be a good opportunity to hang out. Dang it!"
He stopped walking and sulked in sadness. That was the one thing that he wanted to make sure he did. He closed his eyes, then remembered that they had traded phone numbers from the start. His eyes widened as he quickly grabbed for his phone. He turned it on and looked at his contacts, he clicked on Tamaki's icon and started writing. He thought for a moment before writing up: Hey, it's me Arata. I forgot to ask you this earlier, but Tatsuya and his boyfriend are gonna be participating in an fashion show for one of the clubs. I was wondering if you have the time, would you like to go with me?
He pressed sent and anxiously waited for a response. Soon, his phone buzzed and and Tamaki replied to him. It read: Sure that sounds fun. It would be fun to hang out, plus I do want to support Tatsuya and his new boyfriend. Where do you want to meet?
When Arata read that, he was esthetic. He quickly typed: How about by the pillar where you dragged me to?
Tamaki typed back: Lol alright see you then!
Arata jumped up in the air with excitement and almost threw the phone right out of his hand. He smiled brightly then pulled up Tatsuya's contact. He wrote: Hey guys I'm already at home and it went great with Mr.Athletic. Have fun.
The Next Day After School ---
After the dismissal bell rang, Arata speed walked to the spot they met yesterday and when he got there Tamaki was already there. Leaning against the pillar with his school bag on the ground. He had a lollipop in his mouth and he was looking to the side towards the sky.
The sight of the man was magnificent. The way his skin glistened in the sunlight, how his hair flowed in the slight wind. He looked so beautiful it made Arata stare for a moment.
Tamaki looked towards him and smiled. He took the lollipop out of his mouth, "Hey Arta! How's it going?"
"Ha, not bad Tamaki. You?"
"It's been pretty good. I'm still a bit nervous for tomorrow though. But with your help I feel like I'm gonna ace it," he gave a big thumbs up which made Arata laugh.
"Haha, I hope so after we spent so much time."
"Don't worry, I have a hunch I'll do good. What do you want to do in the mean time before the show?"
"Well I was thinking that we could have some fun, maybe get snacks and get to know each other. I also have card games in case you wanted to play."
"Hm, sounds fun. Wanna head over to the vending machines," Tamaki said as he pointed behind him.
"Yeah, food!"
The two walked over and made mini little conversations. The two were laughing until they got to the machines. Tamaki got a bag of cookies and some soda, while Arata got himself a bag of chips and some sparkling water.
The two grabbed their snacks and went to a spot in the shade. They sat down on the floor and began eating. Tamaki shared about his favorite bands and sports, while Arata shared about his time so far in the city and his hobbies. They talked and talked about many things. The air was filled with laughter and the atmosphere was light and welcoming.
When Arata brought out the playing cards, it was war. Arata was a master at card games in all types. Whether it'd be poker, or simple go fish, he would always win. Back in heaven whem there wasn't anything to do, they'd often play these games and put bets and Arata was the reigning undefeated champion. They played blackjack, goldfish, crazy eights, and much more.
Eventually Tamaki finally gave in. He leaned back onto the ground in defeat and said, "Fine, you win I surrender."
Arata celebrated, "Yes!"
But Tamaki quickly shot up, "Even though you won this time, don't think you'll win in my court."
"Oh, and what would that be?"
"Basketball. In an actual court. I may not be able to beat you in games of the brain and luck, but when it comes to physical strength and game plans, I will definitely beat you."
Arata narrowed his eyes playfully, "Well we'll see about that."
