Life was going perfectly for Jasmine Paxton. One day, she flew out to where her mother originally came from, expecting to be welcomed by a shower of rose petals and confetti. But instead, she was welcomed by the greatest surprise in her life. Jasmine, who was on a vacation -- nay, who faced the death penalty, was now imprisoned in a foreign prison, awaiting her verdict. In prison, she found out about her boyfriend's betrayal, making her hope for freedom seem like a dream. Jasmine accepted her fate and got used to life in prison, which soon changed her. Unexpectedly, her candle of hope for freedom lit up, not from the help from the outside, but from the inside of the prison wall. And one of that came from Felix He, whom she mistook as her handsome ex-boss's secret boyfriend and the first person that put the cuffs on her! ***** This story is fictional. The scheme

As soon as Scott and Leila left her house, Maya picked up her phone and dialled Joshua's number.

She walked around back and forth inside her living room while biting on her nail, waiting for the call to be answered.

Maya wasn't lying when she said she hadn't met Joshua for a while now. Since the day that Mrs Gillian's people came to meet Joshua, Joshua hadn't come back to Maya's house.

Joshua just vanished without notice and told nothing to Maya about his whereabouts.

Truthfully, Maya felt like Joshua was a bit mysterious. Although she and Jasmine had known Joshua for years, there was this aura of mystery around Joshua that she couldn't figure out.

"Pick up the phone, Joshua. Where the hell are you?!"

Mia groaned in frustration when she couldn't get through to Joshua. Her calls weren't being picked up by Joshua, as it was deliberately being ignored.

"Pick up, damn it!" Maya cried in frustration again.
