4 Chap 3 part 1

1 of January 1987

Godric Hollow

Six years have passed since the death of Mr. and Ms. Potter and consequently the disappearance of the Dark Lord. One boy could be seen reading a book under one of the many trees in the garden. On the cape of the book, it could be read "Mastery of advanced fire spells, not recommended to child's who wants to play with fire". He had the book on one hand and with the other a stick. He was waving the stick with orderly movements, while the book pages were moving on their own.

"Young master! Come inside you have a few guests, also Master is almost arriving with your gift." Said suddenly a feminine voice from inside the house.

"I'm coming, Al…I'm still waiting for your present too." Answered back Drake in a happy tone.

(author note – from now on this will be mainly written from Drake view since he already has enough age to talk)

As Drake closed the book, he started to think about what surprises he could get and who were the mysterious guests. He threw away the stick, got up and shook the dust from his clothes and started walking into the house.

"I wonder, which one his coming…maybe some of the uncles, I don't know who. Also, I'm very excited to receive my gift from dad! After all, I'm around 9 years old today." thought Drake while he was walking.

"Hey Al, what are you doing?" asked Drake intrigued by the fact that she had hidden something when he entered the house.

"Nothing, Master" responded Wendy before vanishing from the room.

"Damm It! I hate when people do that, I just want to do it too!" rumbled Drake when he saw her disappear.

"You know young master, that magic is very complicated, and you can end up with all your body in different places…it can be nasty even to the adult wizards. But don't be sad about it, young master al can do a lot of things that wizards of your age and even older ones can't do. You should be proud." Said Alfred while he was finishing the decorations of the cake.

"But…you know that I only can do that because I have you two…and my dad the greatest wizard in this era. Also, this mysterious pendant and the rune left by my real parents helped a lot. Similarly, they must think that I'm dumb since I cannot understand the info about Runes or the pendant that I keep seeing in my dreams…after all I'm seeing them since I was 5." Answered Drake with a downcast face while he went beside the house-elf trying to taste the cake with his finger.

"First of all, young master, most wizard's family, principally the purebloods, have the same access to the books you read. Second, they can practice magic too, if they want since they learned how to read, or they could ask their parents too. The personal objects left by your parents and the magic capacity you have from the Dragoness belonged only to you…after all young master, the world it's not a fair place and luck is part of it too. But what's more important is that while you could play as the other kids do, you are working hard by reading a lot of books, by practising magic without a wand, you even started to train magic without the need of chanting." Said Alfred, whereas he stopped Drake from touching the cake.

"Oh! Even so, I want to be strong...I don't want to happen what happened six years ago…or the fight I see in my dreams between my parents and the other bad guys. I want to have the power to protect all of you." As Drake finished talking and before Alfred could respond a voice came from the entrance followed by several voices.

"The path of power is not that easy boy; you will have to work very hard and make sacrifices for it…now I want to taste the cake…"

"Oh Alastor, we need to greet the birthday person first," said Minerva as she entered inside the room, followed by Alastor, Lupin and Hagrid.

"Oh, damn you Minerva…" complained Alastor but before he could continue Lupin interjected by agreeing with Minerva.

*Boooomm*

Suddenly part of entrance fell has Hagrid entered inside the room and forgot to duck a little bit.

"Sorry about that…well...Drake...I brought yo' a cake..." said Hagrid while he tried to repair the entrance.

"Oh, guys you came...I thought you were all in school or working. Well come in and make yourselves comfortable." As Drake started to talk with his guests another visit showed up, Garrick Ollivander with a bunch of bags followed right behind him by Albus and Nicolas Flamel. Probably never have been in recent time so many important figures all together to celebrate the 9th birthday of Drake. Drake got excited and he started to talk with everyone but before that, he went to talk with his dad.

"Hey Dad, I mastered a firestorm charm…of course, its a weakest version of yours heheheh!" said Drake to Albus while everyone started to laugh since they knew how a genius and hardworking, he was.

"Oh, really than I must see it…but don't you want to open the gifts that we all brought? Then we will eat the cake the Alfred made and then you could show me" said Dumbledore smiling to Drake.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! I want!"

"Ollivander, perhaps you could give Drake his first present?" asked Dumbledore

"But of course, Albus, it would be my pleasure!"

When Drake heard his Dad talking with Ollivander, he already knew what would be his first present…a wand…he was so excited that went running to Albus a gave him a hug. Well, this would be the first of many surprises and one of the many nights that he would remember and cherish.
