24 Chap 22

"Hey…youn' Drake did you know that…when two Dragons like the same thing', they can be very competitive" said Hagrid looking at the sky and then to Drake. He knew that probably Drake knows about this, but he may not know that the thing they like is him.

"Of course, I know! But I don't understand what it could be…" replied Drake.

"Hmm…It seems Albus didn't teach him a thing about that…but Wendy should have taught him, right?" thought Hagrid to himself.

"Well…I think they are fightin' because of you."

"Me?! why would that be? I already talked to them before and thought that it would be handled" said Drake with a frustrated look on his face.

While they were talking with each other Jade in her full young form and Scarlett with a partial transformation were staring at each other. Scarlett knew how to transform because of the knowledge and teaching of her mother on contrary to Jade where her parents were killed, and she was saved by Drake.

*RRRROOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR*

Jade launched a powerful roar that almost got Drake and Hagrid on their knees if it wasn't for Drake looking at them and observing the signs of a growl and chanting a spell to nullify the sound around him and Hagrid they probably would pass out. Drake also checked about his beasts and saw that they were all good.

The shockwave bent some trees who were near them, that sound was probably heard in the school too.

Scarlett was unfazed by it and was about to launch another when and huge torrent of fire come between them.

After the Roar of Jade, Drake could only think that his dad would be here in seconds if he wasn't already here.

"Damn! I need to end this shit right now" thought Drake.

"Hagrid can you get away from me for a little bit and take care of them. I will use powerful magic to bring them back to their senses," said Drake to Hagrid while he summoned his wand from his hat which and told his beast to go near him too. He got lucky since he was with it in his hands. He was using his wand to increase the potency of the magic and to show both the Dragoness that he was very serious.

"Firestorm!" A huge torrent of fire was launched from his wand, the trees around him got incinerated in an instant, he held up a little bit the torrent of fire and then he launched into the sky between the two Dragonesses.

Scarlett and Jade got back to her senses and after the torrent of fire passed between them, they looked to Drake and saw him. When they both saw him, they paled from feeling the aura coming from him.

In reality, the aura wasn't coming from him but the pendant that he was wearing around his neck. Drake saw a strong glow coming from it as if he was reacting to his emotions, even though Drake on the outside looked cool and with his emotions controlled…the inside was a mess.

He couldn't watch the two of them fight because of him, this was happening because of him…he thought that just by talking with them, they could putt aside their true nature. Scarlett would probably be expelled, and her secret discovered by the entire school. That secret could ruin the reputation of his Dad as the headmaster of Hogwarts. Also, his dad warned him before he went to school that he wouldn't tolerate that his beasts would endanger the school and if they did, he would lock the beast in his suitcase and send it to Wendy and Alfred to take care of them and bring a normal wizard suitcase.

With all this going on inside of his head, the pendant reacted, and the suppressive aura came from it.

On the other hand, Jade, Scarlett, Star, Greenie, and Z started to feel the suppression but above that, the aura coming from the pendant was transmitting the emotional cocktail of Drake inside them. The fear of being locked inside the suitcase without seeing their owner for a year, the fear of being expelled from the school but above all the fear of disappointment, guilt, and sadness came inside the beasts and Dragonesses.

(POV switch)

Moments before the two Dragonesses started to confront each other. Dumbledore was inside his office drinking a cup of magic tea and reading a few papers while stroking Fawkes.

*sighs*

"That kid always messing around, he could have finished the duel in instant but decided to play with the kid. Although he deserved even though he needs to learn how to control his emotions…someday this mindset of him would bring him serious consequences if he doesn't change it fast" mumble Dumbledore.

"Well, at least he improved his pranks…but even so the twins have been making Mr. Filch life more miserable and some Slytherin students are having bad luck…probably made by Drake too. That kid is so smart…if he put more efforts in studying more or making usable things with his knowledge but instead he is being like Nicolas when I met him he would always prefer doing prank things or potions with all kind of effects with his age."

"Those dreams of him are also not helping…I can't imagine how a child who almost dreams every day with the same nightmare full of carnage and slaughter probably of his family…what a cursed family to let a young boy carry a heavy burden like that" continued Dumbledore mumbling.

He was about to grab the teapot when suddenly he hears a huge ROAR, which he let go of the teapot on top of him.

"By Merlin Beard!!! What has he done now to piss off a dragon" said Dumbledore while he cleaned the tea from him then he remembered a situation a few weeks ago when he was watching Drake and his friends meeting with Hagrid since the incident with the centaurs, he noticed that fallout between Scarlett and Jade.

"Damn!" at that moment he "Apparated" from his office and appeared near the boundaries of the forbidden forest, then he saw the torrent of fire coming from far away.

"That magic! That situation might be even worst" thought Dumbledore before he "Apparates" again but this time near Drake and company. He appeared near Hagrid and the beasts and was about to intervene when he felt the aura coming from the pendant. After all, he was considered the greatest wizard alive and his magic senses were on another level compared to everyone. He felt the aura and let it come inside of him and he could fill the emotions coming from the aura that probably was from Drake.

He also noticed that the two Dragonesses had come to their senses and were very pale including Jade he could only think of an anemic Dragoness.

Even though only seconds have passed since the ROAR, to Drake it seems hours until the brightness of the pendant started to dim, and he saw the two Dragons descending with fear, sad looks on their faces. When he looked at them, he was angry and sad first but then the looks and vibes coming from them made those feelings going away. Scarlett in her human form complete and Jade in her small form came near him and stopped a few steps from him.

They stayed like that for a few moments until he moved closer and embraced them. Scarlett could feel on her skin a little wet and Jade on her scales too.

"Never do that again, I hope this would be the first and the last time" whispered Drake to them before he let go, then he turned around and paled.

He saw Dumbledore patting Fluffy and Star while Greenie was dancing around them, and Z was looking at Drake with a worried look. Scarlett and Jade also paled after Drake let them go and looked in the same direction as Drake.

Z went to Drake and put her tail around his neck and started to lick the face of Drake, the other beasts seeing this, also went to him toppling Drake over the floor and starting to lick and snuggle into him even Greenie which would usually only stay on his head was doing the same. Jade stayed and just watch like Scarlett.

After a few more moments Dumbledore was about to speak but before he could do it Drake got up went to Jade and Scarlett, he gave a pat to them and then kneeled in front of his Dad.

"Please, Dad…don't take them away…its wasn't their fault it was mine…I should have guessed that this could happen but please don't send them away from me…if you have to…you can expel me…" said Drake in a desperate tone.

Scarlett hearing what Drake said went t near him and kneeled in front of Dumbledore and for a Dragon to kneel before someone that probably never happened before. But she could feel a sense of loss when she heard that he could be expelled. She didn't know why but something was telling her that if he was expelled, she would regret it as if her Dragon heart was telling her to make anything possible for him to stay by her side even if she had to kneel before the Greatest Wizard of this century.

His beast also made the same thing, they bent their heads, inclusively Jade which was near him and found a spot where she could snuggle under his arm and still bend her head.

"Hehehehe! Dumbledore I would never have thought that I would someday see a bunch of youn' proud beasts bending their head to a wizard" said Hagrid diffusing a little bit the heavy atmosphere.

*Sigh* *Sigh*

"Well, before I think what to do with you two and the littles one, we need to get going probably a lot of creatures and other things are coming this away and I can fill a few teachers too…so everyone, get together and Drake, transform your beasts into cats please!"

Drake did what his Dad asked and then Dumbledore "Apparates" with Hagrid, Drake, Scarlett and the beasts near Hagrid's hut.
