Chapter 3. Arachne

"You..." Before Dana continue to curse at Lizzie she was put to sleep by Hope.

"Now we have a new vampire in transition"

"What transition means?" Landon ask.

"Meaning she needs blood to complete the transformation to become a vampire" answered Hope.

"But are your sure about that? Look at MG hand" Landon speak. It was old habit to examine his surrounding after he lived in a ninja world.

They all turn and found a web.

"What is it?" They all asked in unison.

"What it just a web maybe she ran through spider webs" MG answered not really care about the web.

"Ahhh" Dana wake up and breath a mouthful of air. "What happens to me I feel like, urg" she didn't finish her word and puke.

She vomit blood continuously which worried the gang.

"Ah, is that normal?" Landon ask

"No, she'll vomit her gut. Dana stop. Stopped"

A few moments later.

Landon and co were surrounding the suppose Dana who had died leaving behind nothing but skin.

"It not a vampire it must be a monster" one of them suddenly said.

"Then who is this monster?" Lizzie ask.

Kaleb look at Landon followed by the rest.

"What? I can't be the monster"

"Everything fine until you showed up and taking the knife like activating a beacon" Kaleb justify his action.

"You believe them too Hope?" Landon ask Hope then ran away in angry.

He went to the toilet washing his face. 'What the guck when am I going to die? This is madness. I even forgot about this show blame my first reincarnation. I want to punch someone"

Connor who was the boyfriend of Dana came inside on time for Landon to appease his anger.

"What's you look at? Uh" he then punched him in the face which felt different.

He look at his fist then at Connor and felt disgusted by what he saw under the skin. He ran away to show it to Hope and her friends.

"Have you heard about the woman who was curse by the Greek Goddess Athena? The Arachne she was a spider who uses the skin of her victims" MG described when Landon came

"Like these?" He said showing them Connor's skin.

Hope look at him raising her eyebrows. Then they do a locator spell and followed it.

At the Mill.

Rafael and Josie were walking inside the mill when they found Sasha entangled by a spider web.

"Hey isn't that Sasha?" He asked.

"Ah you right" Josie confirm.

He step toward the girl when he suddenly stuck. "What this, it strong I can't get out of it?" He yanked but nothing happens but only make the web hold him more.

Josie seeing this came over to help to yanked him out. "Ahh" and she stuck fantastically. "Can't you do your magic?" "I need to siphoned something magical to do magic" "then do it"

She suddenly kiss Raf and siphoned magic from him. Raf was surprised by that but try to not care.

"Mmm, hey, hey over here, help us" He suddenly saw Connor walking in.

Josie look who it is and also calling for help.

When Connor turn his head they immediately felt disgusted and Josie quickly use magic and free them while also send a bright light to the monster.

"What's are you all doing here?" Lizzie came and saw Josie and Raf together feeling jealous.

"We found Sasha and there's also a big spider disguise as Connor" Josie quickly said.

Hope getting in then she shouted "Lizzie Josie hold my and hand". They both hold hands and send a powerful blast toward the spider killing it.

Landon for one didn't feel anything like awe or something. He just stand there raising his eyebrows. All this fight with magic were for shows.

"Raf, you okay"!! He run toward Raf and hugged him.

"Why don't you consider my offer? Look, the night before tomorrow was when Libra align together. I can brew your potion which can gives you balance and make you shapeshift painlessly even during the sun" Landon started again with his potions.

"Nah, come on Landon you know it just your imagination but I'm good" Raf laughed it off.

"Ahahah, your lost. Oh by the way what with Josie and you?" Landon ask trying his best to control his frustration. He really want to smack his brother's head right now.

"It's nothing. We just at wrong place at the wrong time"

"Look at me Raf. I call you brother and my best friend right?" "Right"! "Then I need you to move on. Accept everything that happens and start a new. Don't wallow on sorrow. I want you to be happy. Beside I root for Josie you got this bruh"

"But you do know I lost 'her' last week. I can't just forget her" "no you can't that why I need you to move on"

They walk toward the school and leave behind their discussion.

At the dock.

Landon sat on the dock watching stars to begin their movements aligning with each other.

"What a waste if only Raf accept my offer to prepare his potion before tomorrow night he can become a perfect werewolf" He lament the waste of this opportunity.

"What are you brooding over?"

He turn around and found Hope coming to sit next to him.

"Ah, hi. It nothing but lamenting the fact that my brother won't take my offer" "so what are you doing here" she asked. "Well to be honest nothing. I just want some fresh air"

"Look Hope, I'm sorry to disappoint you as I said in my previous letter. I didn't mean to and about the knife, I swear I didn't take it but I was attracted to it. Well aside from that today was not my day right?" I chuckle at that remembering the course of event during the day.

"I know I act like a jerk to you but I didn't lie to you as lie but an a self protection. I lie to protect myself" He said then stood up. "it getting late, I'll crashed by my bed" leaving behind Hope.
