Chapter 20. Headless horseman. 

"Shall we visit Dr. Saltzman?"

'he look charming alright!' the girls were charmed looking at Wade.

"Ahem, you right we should" Landon said looking at the girls reaction and hugged Hopes tightly. 'Landon, you idiot. Why did you have to fully awaken these playboy species' he gives him a punch on his imaginary face.

"What, you jealous again?" Hope teased him then kissed him. "Don't worry even the most handsome man appear infront of me I won't budge as my heart already belong to you"

"I know" saying in her ears brought blood flood into her face. She hides her embarrassment in Landon chest waiting for her flush face stop.

They walk to the school while talking with Wade. "How's the trial?"

When Wade heard about the trial the facade that he try to maintain broke like glass and tears release like a broken damp.

Wahhh* he suddenly cried while looking at the school and kisses the ground while mumbling "thank God no more torture, eheheheh sucking blobfish" he curses and the next moment he smile and laughing happily.

"Phew, that almost got me" Landon sigh in relief when he saw Wade cry.

The twins, MG, Kaleb and Jed look at Wade with bewildered expression.

"What happens to him?" Hope ask as she was also confuse and bewildered by Wade action.

"What, you expect him, Wade who was kind and gentle to be able to take that amount of suffering to be a king, during his trial" Feeling confident Landon continue "he properly spent years or tens of years training and tortures in the name of succeeding the throne of the fairies" he look at Wade crying and sleep on the grass with satisfying expression they can see that he been through a lot.

"He properly battled a lot in order to be worthy the throne. A competent king without prowess was a weak king. Meaning before he came out he train in everything political and warfare" looking the spear that plant next to Wade he continues "and a spear at that. Good for mid combat close and range the fuck is this Wade doing. Living in a peaceful world then suddenly appear in a warring world sigh" he sigh then pick Wade up.

"That good, I don't have any ancestry heritage" Jed sigh in relief looking at a once fat man become so fit in a matter of an hour imagining that he do anything to lose those fat, scare him.

"You right" Kaleb at the side support him walking toward the school.

They put Wade on the bed with his spear beside him.

"So, he was really sent to a different dimension to trained and given actual combat experience. While also taught Royal stuff?" Dumbfounded, Alaric look at the transform Wade.

Where a fat was once was gone and replace by a swimmer body packing explosive strength.

"Yes, that what I speculate. How else could you explain the way he act, talk and walk like a veteran soldier an elite, at that?" Landon reply looking at Wade.

"How's the monsters is there any movement from their side?" Asking the question Landon look over at Alaric and Dorian.

"No, not at the moment. But we try to look into it and ask MG's mother but she didn't know about any loose monsters"

"She's Triad boss, how the hell she doesn't know, unless...." Remembering those pictures it seem like they know about the monsters but didn't want anyone to know or else it will lead to the final key. Landon nod his head, and try to analyze everything more clearly.

"Unless what? And what you mean she's a boss. My mom a boss?" MG ask imagining he had something in his ears.

"Oh, thought she told you or something" Lan look at MG and confused.

"Well, technically she don't want MG to know. I have a deal with her to keep our school safe while I protect her son from something dangerous which means Triad fall under the dangerous part. That why she haven't told MG" Alaric told them looking at MG apologetic.

"What, why?" Shocked MG look at him with pleading eyes to know the truth.

"It in her job. She doesn't want to hurt you as her job to keep supernatural humans and creatures in check. Which pretty contradict with you her son" Hope take over patting his shoulder.

"We getting side track. I think I know what the monster are up to now. They searching for the third key which the Triad properly keep it or they also searching it" Landon told them what he found and explain the situation to them. "We won't touch the key. It is not our responsibility. You guys are safe as long as you are a vampire, witch and werewolf when Malivore awakes. As for me I'll deal with Malivore, it family business"

"I'll be by your side" leaning on him Hope added.

Looking at her, he found he can't disagree with her as she looked at her eyes and found that she won't budge.

"Always" he kissed her head then look at gang.

"We will continue what we all doing like last time. We also must build evacuation shelter for the kids and underage students to stay at during war" laying the plan Landon quickly explain without any bullshit.

"Sorry Dr. Saltzman, but the school no longer a safe haven for the children. It best to function as spring board for the kids with ability to learn how to survive in the mundane world when they grow" patting his shoulder Landon walk away.

Alaric stood there contemplating what Landon and thoughts so too. "Well, friend the kid right. We can't protect the kids when they leave school. We can't protect them when they after that Alaric" Dorian also agree with Landon and walks off.

Heavy breathing and panting* a man, a fair man was running away with a knife or a shaft something. He keeps looking back while stumbling around with gunshots filled his background.

Clarke was chase by the legendary Headless horseman from the Scottish mythology. Before they have this encounter the Triad sent all it available soldiers to search the final key.

Clarke found it but Malivore monster also found the key and chase. The Triad came to the rescue but guns weren't working on the monster and use their special bullet but seem like it have little effect on the monster.

He ran all the way from the warehouse to the forest and now he almost reach the mountain with the horseman shorten the distance.

"No, no, no,Noooooo!" The horseman reach him then grab him with a knife and return to base throwing the knife.
