Chapter 10. Some need to improvise and adapt.

The next morning Landon and Hope found themselves naked inside the forest near the river.

"Mmm, you awake that was intense" Landon said walking from the river "come let clean ourselves before returning " he said princess carrying Hope to the river.

"How do feel after the ritual?" Landon ask her as he was busy last.

"Everything feel different my wolf side has reached equilibrium with my witch side and can also use some magic especially wind. I can use wind to my own when I transform. Also seem like not only me but all the wolves can partial transform as we undergo the same ritual" she answer showing her claws with wind between her claws.

"Wow, I'm amaze I didn't know it can also grant powers or is it only you?" Amaze by it while rubbing Hopes back. "Let me see your hand" He took her hand and that the bond became colored with red and whites.

"See this bond it signify our re-union. Now we became inseperable" he say showing his own bond.

They return and found the whole school full of happy people.

"What happen? Why all the students seem to be happy?" Ask Hope looking at the students feeling giddy and preparing for the show.

"Seems like our next monster came for the artifact and make all this mess" Landon said looking at Hope. Hope also have the sudden realization.

"Let go to Alaric and see what happen" she said walking toward the principal office.

"Where's Dr. Saltzman?" She look at the empty office with a bewildered expression. 'It can't be that he also get affected right?' she thought then look at Lan.

"Gotta find Dorian, let hope that he ain't affected"

Landon said shushin away then appear again beside Hope. "I found him and you not gonna believed what I just saw"

They went to the mill and saw Dorian threatening the Unicorn. "Oh my god a unicorn?!!!!" Hope was surprise and almost rush over. "Whoa,whoa stand right there she's the monster" Dorian quickly stop her.

H: "what, no the unicorn was a creature of light. It can't be a monster"

D: "it is. It look innocent but we don't know if it disguise as the unicorn.

L: "I think, it a unicorn. I can feel it as we are both creature of light while me as a creature of destruction and rebirth which also light. Oh and Dorian seem like the students were affected by some kind of happiness parasites?"

D: my best guess is they were infected by this thing" he said showing us a worm like creature inside a jar.

"Seem like it. Let go Hope we check the Library. Dorian call Alaric or Emma" Landon said and ran to library with Hope.

"There's nothing about this monster" he said from a bundle of books. "Then, what we gonna do?" Ask Hope.

"Let go find someone who haven't affected"

They roam the school searching for normal acting people. They come across Lizzie making out with Penelope.

"What the?! Lizzie also a leb?" Landon ask Hope feeling puzzled

"No she's not. Something must be wrong" Hope said then ran toward them.

"Lizzie what happens to you?" She ask hoping that they were just healing themselves from recent events.

"Why?? Do you even care?" She reply while Penelope also looking at them. "We do this because of Josie" then they continue.

"Immobulus" Hope cast a spell them the she ask again. "Why are you doing this?"

Penelope answer at that, "I do everything for her but she betrayed me and go with Raf!! Everything's fine but when you arrive thing's change!!!" She said the last part facing Landon with venom in her voice.

"What? So you do this to get back at my sister?" Lizzie said then siphoned magic from her and blast her to the shelf, "I HATE YOU!!!" Running away leaving her remarks.

Landon look at Hope then they run after Lizzie to clarify their finding. "Lizzie wait up! How's you feeling?" They ask the dumbest question after what they just seen.

"Of course I'm fine after Pen use me as her comfort" she said sarcastic looking us. "What??? Why following? In case you forget I hate you" she said while looking at Hope.

"Thank God she's not affected. Wait how aren't you affected?" Landon sigh in relief when he suddenly confused

"What you mean? I am perfectly fine while my evil twin tries to rebel" while looking at her bracelet. "What happen?" Landon ask looking at her bracelet. "It none of your business bird boy".

"Is that an enchanted bracelet? What types?" Hope ask hoping to get an answer.

"Why asking? It just release some electric which I think it getting expire as it send electric sometimes ago" when she said that Hope look at Landon with a happy expression.

"Lizzie, thanks God you still human. Follow us" Hope ran toward Dorian who was busy checking his archives. "Dorian we found a way to release this parasite. It afraid of electricity or lightning" She said while looking the jar which held the parasite. "Mmm is this thing florescent light?"

"You right, go grab some uv lights we need to track these worms and see if they affect the all school and oh, professor Alaric will come back so prepare everything before he return same with Emma"

Landon, Hope and Lizzie quickly grabbed some uv torch and followed the trace left behind the worm. "Oh no. Don't tell me that..!!" "Yes it seem so"

Some things change like Raf confess his love to Josie then He look at Liz and co pointing at them"take the urn and give to me" all the students stood up then rush toward the three group."Glisseo" Landon quickly change the stairs into slide. All the students slid down making them fall like dominos.

"Lock the door. We need an area of effects spell for lighting shock to free them. Until then let wait for Ms. Emma" Lizzie said walking away.

"We can't wait. Wait for me" Landon told Hope speeding away returning with a hose and wire.

"What? Are you going to electrocute them?" Hope said watching him spreading water to sole level then he connect it with the wire causing the students electrocuted.

"Whoah, whoah hold it" Alaric Saltzman ran toward them trying to stop him.

"And done!! We need to improvise and adapt to situation sir" saying that he walks away with Hope in his arm acting cool.

Alaric Saltzman sat in his office watching the urn then drank a cup of bourbon with the parasite in it.

He drove off then threw the Anubis Urn at the river.
