CHAPTER 33 Survival

Everyone's eyes went wide when they saw lord Drake punching private Joker in the stomach making him fall to his knees. The young boy was trying to bring back his normal breathing, while his body twitched, grabbing his lungs because that punch traumatized his entire body.

"You little scumbag! I've got your name! I've got your ass! You will not laugh! You will not cry! You will learn by the numbers. I will teach you. Now get up! Get on your feet!"

Like a newborn cow, Joker tried to get up on his feet. "That must have hurt!" Everyone was afraid that one day they would get the same treatment as the young man. Their weak body won't resist a punch like that, they might even die.

As Joker got up, Drake said to his face- "You had best unfuck yourself or I will unscrew your head and shit down your neck!"

"Sir yes sir!"

Again they were surprised how this young lord came with all those insults. It made him look a bit funny, but that is a "BIG NO". She and the rest of the recruits should take the training seriously or lord will turn like the grim reaper and will send their asses to the real hell but even they are not sure which one will be worse as he said this will be real Hell.

"Private Joker, why did you join my Vlad Corps?" lord Drake asked.

"Sir, to kill, sir!" Joker responded

"Huh?! Is he for real?!" That reason was… how should Neia put that? "Does Joker seek revenge or something?" small folks have been discriminated against over the years, especially by the high people using them as slaves. As a young man, he was older than most people in the group and he must have had a lot of struggles in his life.

"So you're a killer!" spoke lord Drake as he was getting a bit excited. Recruits that gave this kind of answer on their first day were very rare.

"Sir yes sir!" 

"Let me see your war face!"

"Sir?" Joker was a bit confused by the sudden demand.

"You've got a war face?"  "Look at him," Lord Drake said while pointing at the drill instructor, whose face morphed into something they never saw or thought of; they saw faces of savages or soldiers but a face like that never.

And looking at their faces they can feel hiw their legs are shaking. They all get goosebumps from a single glance, the feeling uncomfortable with fear entering deep into them.

"Aaaaaaaagh! That's a war face. The face of Killer who's ready to kill Now let me see your war face!"

"Aaaaaaaagh!" Joker screamed

"Bullshit! You didn't convince me! Let me see your real war face!"

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!" he screamed again

"You didn't scare me! In fact, even a kid won't be scared with that face, Work on it!"

"He...He did it!" Everyone thought that lord Drake would kick his ass, but instead, he chose to see Joker very close to how he improved in boot camp. But the same questions might not fall upon every recruit. "The drill instructors are cunning people and will play with their minds till they are completely broken… Clever.

Drake walked away from Joker and stopped at a blonde human male with trembling hands.

"By me, can you read the future with those big ass hands that were shaking so much?"

"Sir no sir!"

"Are you shaken up? Are you nervous?"

"Sir I am, sir!"

"Do I make you nervous?"

"Sir…" the boy was afraid to respond to that. question.

"Sir what?! Were you about to call me an asshole?!"

"Sir no sir!"

"Where in hell are you from anyway, Private?"

"Sir, Oldtown, sir!"

"Holy dogshit, only faggots, and sailors come from Oldtown, Private Paladin boy. And you don't look much like a sailor to me so that kinda narrows it down! Tell me, do you suck dicks?"

"Sir no sir!"

"I'll bet you're the kind of guy that would masturbate to your wife while she is fucking with the neighbor! 

"Private Paladin boy you understand one thing here is only one god and he stands before you"

"Sir yes sir!"

"Good keep in mind that now the only god you would worship is me. I'll be watching you!"

Lord Drake stepped away from the Paladin boy and turned to the female line. "Please not me! Please not me!" Everyone prayed to not be picked by lord Drake except the few who got to know him or the three unique girls. They could not imagine staying face-to-face with him although they were not allowed to see him in the eyes.

The lord walked to the female line to another recruit. "What kind of fucking crossbreed are you?!" he asked someone.

"Sir, I do not know as my mother died during my birth so I do not know my father, sir!"

Few knew exactly who he was speaking to.

"Bullshit! You are too cute to be low birth to be small folk. Was your father a horny man that raped your small folk mother or is it the other way around?"

"Sir, I do not know sir sir!"

"Where do you come from correctly?"

"Near the Dorne lands that are located on another continent, Sir!"

"I understand. I'll be watching you." he started to walk again.

The other continent was still mysterious for Neia and many others. She knows that one of the queens of the Sorcerer Kingdom was the ruler of the high elves that lived on the other continent. The bards that returned from the Supreme City, describe her as a high elf goddess. But still, learning that beyond in the east has still unknown nations, made her very curious to know more.

"Rika, stop moving that damn tail around, or I'll fucking cut it for you, and hang it in the entrance of the barrack!" yelled lord Drake at Rika

"Nya Sir!" responded the wolf girl.

"What did you just say?!"

"SIR YES SIR!"

The lord narrowed his eyes, staring like he wanted to take the soul of Rika. On her chin, sweat was beginning to drip but there was still a smile on her face. "I'll be watching you."

Now the lord was in front of Anya. This was the frightening moment that Anya never wished to happen, at least not today as lord's behavior had taken 180 turns and now he looks so scary. Even though she met him before and spent time with him this was entirely different but she was part of the platoon and she will get the same treatment as them. lord Drake observed her face for a second and then spoke.

"What's your name, scum?"

"Sir, Anya Mooton, sir! 

"Mooton? So you are the maggot of that Pavel Mooton, huh?"

"Sir yes sir."

"Did Pavel fuck a demoness that made you?"

"Sir no sir!"

"Hoo, is that so? But beyond those eyes of yours, I see hell, hell that wants to be unleashed upon the enemies that come across you."

"Si-Sir I don't know sir!"

Whatever Lord Drake was saying, it sounded like a bad nightmare for Anya. Before today the lord did tell her she had the eyes of a Demon who wants to unleash hell on earth. and he told her they are quite beautiful just like her. He spoke in a way that almost made her fall to her knees and cry to go back home.

"We will see Private Madeye, we will see. I'll be watching you."

When the lord turned his head, Anya started to breathe heavily. "What was that?! It felt like my life was going to end…" she tried to control herself but her entire body was shivering. Having lord Drake in front of her was like seeing death in the eyes.

So… Madeye is my nickname from now on, huh. It sounds cool I guess, at least it's not like Snowball.

Anya was also surprised how the name of her father was known by lord drake.  After all, he still was once a strong man and everyone locally knows him. but it wasn't shocking as he had shown he knows much more than they can imagine Having a famous father was to be proud, but Anya felt like a small rock behind her father's back.

"Alright, I'll do it! I will never stop fighting! My goal is to become the greatest assassin that has ever existed. Please guide me towards the path of glory... your Majesty Lord Drake."

But we hope that path will not take a dark turn...

After looking at some more recruits lord slowly stood straight, his blood-red eyes landed on everyone with a cunning smirk across his face.

"Follow me." he gestured and moved out of the grounds.

and without any word, everyone followed behind him while gazing at the empty streets and abandoned houses and working farms as they crossed the streets. They all tried to keep up with them even though it looked like he was walking for them he was running.

So soon March turned into running as no one wanted to be left behind as they can't imagine what would happen if they were left behind. So they run while keeping space between each other.

As time flew by they continued to run even though they were getting tired no one wanted to give up. while they ran through areas where the weather continued to change drastically. As they passed valleys of flowers and crops they climbed small mountains and ran through deep forests, even desert and snow areas which are either extremely cold or extremely hot empty houses borders that looked sky high. Even in a rainy area that was raining consistently they even had to swim.

They passed empty fields, swamps and thousands of caves and they had seen hundreds of animals that were not normal as they were much healthier and bigger than normal ones. Some animals were so rare they had never seen them in their lives; they heard only stories even though they had crossed paths with many dangerous animals.

Animals didn't do anything to them; they just eyed them and let them pass. Even though the girls were here for three days, they didn't know the place had so much diversity and the weather changes were so frequent.

And just like that 4 hours passed their bodies were giving up it was just their iron wills that kept them running but if this continued for more time even that would give up. but before that could happen he came to halt.

and turned around and because he stopped everyone stopped behind and because everyone was too tired no one collided with each other once all of them stopped they all had huge sighs of relief as they all started to breathe with their mouths.

"Your perseverance and endurance are commendable. maggots" Drake walked onwards while multiple black figures moved back giving him the way.

"Not many have overcome the trials and still have strength left to stand, while your body is ready to give up, your mind is still pushing you forward. maggots I'm impressed you could do this with your scraggy pathetic bodies of yours " He stood before them as the black figures slowly moved towards them with his red eyes locked into theirs.

"But as I said before this is hell, and what you experienced today is far from what you call hell, So in short your suffering has just begun."

As they heard him they all felt fear that came from the depths of their very being. and soon they started to look around and the first thing they noticed was the glowing eyes everywhere. then trees and they were in some kind of pit in a deep forest filled with animals.
