Tower Defense Part Three

After Hendrix returned to the structure, he sighed before walking to a hole in the wall. Subsequently, he looked at the Wall of Bones while narrowing his eyes.

'I feel the Wall of Bones is also Scarlet ranked in rarity. My goodness, I have to face two terrors at once. I doubt anyone else has to face such horrors in their combat assessments.' Hendrix thought before gripping the wall firmly. While additionally frowning after thinking about it again.

{Hendrix, please be careful}

'I can't promise anything. Guide start the third round.' Ignacio ordered

[Combat Stage has begun]

After Guides Proclamation, the Wall of Bones stayed silent. However, flying Bone Abominations began rising from the back of it. And their single pair of wings looked similar to the Harbingers. Additionally, their wings were fragile and frail looking.

'Oh no, theirs so many.' Hendrix thought as his eyes widened before he began attempting to shoot into the holes of the Wall of Bones. However, he stopped and instead aimed at the closest one's, left tendril wing joint.

Afterward, Hendrix fired it, and the needle hit the wing joint, causing the speed of the targeted Bone Abomination to be slow. Subsequently, he grabbed another needle and pulled it back on the tiny bow before firing it right where the old one was.

Consequently, the needles together amputated Bone Abomination's left tendril wing, and the first needle stayed inside the stump, preventing any healing. Afterward, it fell to the ground from a mile up, resulting in death.

[You have killed 1 Bone Abomination variant]

[You can't earn XP in the combat assessment and can't until you reach a city in the crown world]

[Its death added onto your final score]

'At least I know how to beat them somewhat easily. However, I should still shoot as many holes as I can before it gets overwhelming for me.' Hendrix thought before aiming his arm at one of the holes, grabbing a needle and drawing it back on the tiny bow on his hand and firing it.

Subsequently, Hendrix shot into thirty-two holes and shot down any flying Bone Abominations that came too close. However, after shooting the thirty-third, something changed.

The Harbinger flew out from behind the Wall of Bones, and its three insect-like eyes peered into Hendrix's before it pointed its six left arm tentacles at his structure.

Afterward, the Wall of Bones contracted a little before rapidly shooting many small snake-like bones toward Hendrix's fortifications. These bones began to leap over the ground and move like the waves of a stormy sea. However, three pairs of black eyes suddenly appeared on their front sides. And their Iris looked like a starry night, surrounded by an empty void.

The snake-like bone's shapes began to warp until they began following Trilateral symmetry. With two eyes on each side, one behind the other. Afterward, a ridge appeared between each pair of eyes, separating them, from which a barbed hook-like shape grew.

These hook-like shapes eventually stopped, and after reaching half the length of the snake-like bones, long cactus-like spines grew from the sides facing their newly forming mouths. The mouths had three rows of teeth, which seemed to go down their throats.

"What is that!?" Hendrix yelled while his eyes widened, and his legs seemed to freeze.

{I'm not sure. However, those varmints seem extremely dangerous.}

[They are extensions of the Walls of Bones. However, they have their separate wills.]

'Well, this sucks. I guess I need to shoot the varmint's eyes. I mean, I hope their eyes are a weakness.' Hendrix thought while shooting needles at the holes again before narrowing his eyes at it.

Hendrix fired three more needles at the Wall of Bones before the snake-like bones began burrowing into his fortifications. Consequently, the sound of drilling emanated throughout the structure.

'Well, I'm going to have to dodge these horrors while trying to shoot the holes.' Hendrix thought before he fired another needle toward the Wall of Bones.

Hendrix fired two more needles into different holes in the Wall of Bones before a snake-like bone burst through the wall. It curled around itself before looking at Hendrix with its three pairs of eyes.

Hendrix quickly grabbed a needle from one of the straps before pulling it back on the tiny bow and firing it at one of the snake-like bone's front eyes.

"Hiss!" The snake-like bone painfully sounded before it reared back and leaped at Hendrix with its five working eyes contracted.

Hendrix quickly dodged out of its path before briskly grabbing another needle, drawing it back, and firing it at another eye. Subsequently, he ran to the right anticipating retaliation.

As Hendrix ran, the snake-like bone flew through where he once was and out the hole facing the Wall of Bones. Consequently resulting in it falling to its death.

'At least I know how to deal with them If they come after me.' Hendrix thought before he again began aiming at the Wall of Bones, numerous holes.

Afterward, Hendrix shot many more openings in the Wall of Bones while killing many more flying Bone Abominations and snake-like bones. However, once he shot into a total of sixty-six overall, the Harbinger appeared from behind the Wall of Bones once again.

It opened its mouth and bellowed loudly toward Hendrix. Afterward, all the snake-like bones burrowed out of Hendrix's structure before floating toward the middle of the battleground.

Subsequently, they all merged to form a gigantic snake-like bone. Additionally, each individual seemed to be levitating and orbiting a cylindrical area void of anything. However, after they formed, they began digging into the ground, leaving gigantic holes in their wake.

'Why!? Why!?' Hendrix yelled in his mind before hurriedly shooting another needle into an opening in the Wall of Bones. However, before he could grab a second needle, the massive snake-like bone slammed into his structure.

Hendrix quickly surveyed his surroundings and saw the thing climbing up his fortifications and heading straight toward him. Hence he grabbed a Triphara, loaded it, and fired it at the things frontside.

Consequently, the shot hit its target, causing its front to recoil slightly. However, it continued climbing with little to no injury.

'I think I know what I need to do, Ackalon.' Hendrix thought before grabbing a tiny needle and aiming his arm at the next hole, drawing it back, and firing.

{What is it?}

'You'll see.' Hendrix thought before continuing to shoot needles.

After five minutes, the Gigantic snake-like bone reached Hendrix's hole and aimed at him, ready to impale him. But he shot it in the head with the Triphara needles, causing it to recoil and destroying one of the eyes. And his actions resulted in it roaring in pain.

Hendrix didn't relent and continued to shoot at the holes. However, whenever the thing tried to attack him, he shot it, causing it to recoil and be stunned for a few seconds. Hence Hendrix continued his routine of shooting holes with needles and shooting the threat with his Triphara. Once he had shot into all one hundred holes, the giant snake-like bone ceased moving before turning into ash.

[Congratulations on completing the third round. However, you still have two opponents to kill somehow. The Wall of Bones and the Harbringer.]
