Recovered and Deal

Mr. Parker, Mrs. Orchard, and the medical knowledge teacher taught both Hendrix and Allura, and after, they left the medical ward.

After this, two months passed, during which Hendrix and Allura only met the three teachers and were taught by them. However, Allura went to the other classes she chose by herself.

Allura also saw Hendrix be scared by his Unforgettable curse once a month but couldn't see the hallucination of Kendra, who caused it, resulting in her becoming even more protective. However, Natasha and Valentina also visited as well.

Once Hendrix was fully recovered and ready to leave, he got out of Allura's arms quickly and weakly walked to the door. However, he frowned due to not having his cane. However, he now had an eye patch over his destroyed eye.

"I need my cane. Can you get it?" Hendrix requested the nurses, knowing he tires quickly without his cane.

Allura would get up as well and smile gently. As she watched Hendrix walk again.

"Here's your cane Hendrix." One of the nurses stated as she knelt and gave him his cane.

"Thank you for giving me this." Hendrix thanked them civilly.

"Your welcome, Hendrix." The nurse replied before leaving.

"Thank you for taking care of me, Allura." Hendrix thanked her civilly. Although he was suspicious, he was grateful.

"Your welcome, Hendrix. But I'm still going to protect you." Allura replied, smiling wider as she tried to pat Hendrix's head.

"Please, don't pat me. I'm no longer injured. Please don't hug me or anything." Hendrix denied only tolerating it in the past because he had no choice. But he was scared and alerted since he couldn't move independently then.

"Why do you still not trust me, Hendrix?" Allura softly asked as she looked into Hendrix's eyes.

"Because of my trauma, I don't trust anyone." Hendrix vaguely stated.

"I see. Well, I'm still going to try to change your mind." Allura proclaimed.

{Oh, you're going to spend your whole life trying Allura. You have no clue why he fears you and other people.}

"I guess I have to attend a fitness class, huh." Hendrix thought aloud while walking towards the door with his cane.

"Yes, we do, though I don't know how you will pass that class." Allura responded, shaking her head while walking beside Hendrix.

"I don't either. I only weigh thirty pounds, and lifting five with my reduced physical strength will be horrible." Hendrix stated, dreading this class as he had already stopped growing.

"Perhaps you will be using one liter of milk as a weight." Allura joked with a chuckle.

Hendrix shook his head as they arrived at the classroom just in time and sat in their seats.

"Hey, the broken one is back." One of the bullies stated. However, they didn't dare go after Hendrix.

Theodore sat at the back of the classroom with a poker face and a blank gaze.

"He seems so small. Perhaps I should steal his cane. Since he's too weak to take a punch." Another bully who didn't know Hendrix stated.

Allura looked at the bully with a cold gaze which scared him, and he shut his mouth quickly.

Hendrix looked worn out from hearing the bullies say while massaging his temples. Before looking at the board, trying to be lost in his thoughts.

Eventually, a teacher walked through the door, and he looked at everyone with his eyes narrowed. He was tall and had a thick bushy black mustache, black hair, a monobrow, and hazel eyes.

"Everyone, for the past two months, we have been building up your strength and endurance to prepare for today. We will test your combat experience and talents from the first Tribulation." The teacher sternly warned while surveying everyone.

All the students stopped what they were doing and looked at the teacher with widened eyes and shivering a little.

"May I know your name? I sadly don't know how to address you." Hendrix asked civilly, not wanting to offend the teacher by calling him whatever came to mind.

"I am James Adam, but you can call me Mr. Adam." Mr. Adam replied, slightly smiling as he saw Hendrix and Allura.

"Do I have to participate? You should know how horrible my body's fitness is, right?" Hendrix asked as he didn't want to do this because he was easily hurt and did not want to return to the medical ward.

"Hmm, it is unfair to you, as everyone else was strengthening themselves. Though I don't normally compromise, this is a special case." Mr. Adam's responded and pondered what to do.

"I don't think I should participate. Everyone can easily harm me." Hendrix suggested not wanting to fight for a few reasons, his combat experience, his weak body, the multiplier effect of his Oi, breaking the illusion he's helpless, missing fighting equipment, etc.

"Let's make a deal, you participate in this and last thirty seconds, and I'll grant one request. If you win this competition, I'll grant three requests. However, they must be within my power to grant. You can also sit aside, and you won't be penalized. What will you choose, Hendrix?" Mr. Adam asked with a smile.

"Hey, why does he get that? None of us got any rewards from doing what you say, only punishments if we didn't!" One of the other students yelled, feeling jealous.

"Well, it isn't exactly fair for him to face all of you with his horrible body, and he was gone these two months." Mr. Adam chastised.

"Fine, can we get one request if any of us win?" Theodore asked quietly.

"Fine, I'll do so, though that's it. Hendrix, what will you choose?" Mr. Adam's questioned.

'Hmm, perhaps they have a herbs book I can have. I need to know what I can eat in the crown world to survive.' Hendrix thought as he decided.

"I'll try to win the competition." Hendrix replied as he smiled slightly and balanced on his cane.

"Good, if you do, I'll be impressed. Now let's head to the gym. There you can pick a weapon to battle with."

"I would like to use my cane Mr. Adam's." Hendrix replied, having a plan on how to hide his combat experience to a degree.

"Are you sure?" Mr. Adam asked as he raised his brow.

"Yes, I am." Hendrix replied, nodding.

"You know that if your cane breaks, you lose, right?" Mr. Adam's warned with concern as he raised his brow.

"I understand. Please let me use the cane." Hendrix insisted.

"Alright, good luck, everyone. Now let's go." Mr. Adam accepted as he started to leave the room.
