Hunting For More Skinlings

Afterward, the group all changed and readied themselves to travel and fight. Additionally, they packed up their bags. Subsequently, they left the run-down house and got into formation before searching for more Skinlings.

"Kiannah, how are we going to clean ourselves? Are there any sources of water? Or will we have to use our drinking water to shower?" Natasha asked while grimacing and sighing as she walked on a beaten path.

"I'm not sure. However, if it comes to it, we may have to search for dead applicants and take their water supplies. Additionally, we shouldn't stoop so low to kill someone so that we could clean ourselves." Kiannah suggested while sighing and walking while her barbed whip dragged on the ground.

"I agree we can survive without cleaning ourselves, even if it's uncomfortable. However, I hope we can somehow get more water. I don't want to feel grimy or smell stinky." Allura added while smiling slightly before shaking her head.

"I hope so too, but the chances of a clean water source in this dimension are slim. Besides, if there is one, it's probably guarded by something out of our league anyway." Valentina pessimistically stated while crossing her arms under her chest.

"I see. Hopefully, we can kill more of these Skinlings. And if there's only one, we can take it down quickly, and we can take turns killing them so we can gain XP. Also, we should be careful whenever we level up and make sure to have at least triple the xp requirement before leveling up." Allura suggested before smiling widely and taking a deep breath.

"I'm curious as to why this is. Isn't it a good idea to get stronger as fast as possible? After all, we were in a dangerous area where we could die." Valentina questioned while raising her brow.

"Because whenever we level up, all injuries are healed. This is a lifesaving thing, and we should ration it whenever we need it most. And we should only do so when three times the xp is there because we don't know what the next requirement of xp for leveling up is. And we should be able to level up in a life or death situation." Allura patiently explained.

"I understand now. Should we kill Skinlings until we each have enough XP to level up? Or perhaps three times just to be safe?" Valentina stated before narrowing her eyes.

"Yes, we should. This world is perilous and terrifying. We should do our utmost to keep ourselves alive. Also, if the situation allows, we should fight the Skinlings one-on-one. After all, we don't have much experience in life-or-death situations." Natasha suggested before smiling, seeing a group of three Skinlings in the distance. They stood open some rocks.

"Alright, also, three of us should fight the Skinlings over there one on one to build up our combat experience while the fourth observes and helps when necessary." Kiannah suggested while looking at the same Skinlings.

"So, who will fight this time? And who will supervise?" Natasha asked before furrowing her brows.

"I volunteer to supervise this time. After all, I had some experience in life or death before I met you all in the crown plane." Kiannah says while smirking and placing her hand on her hips.

Everyone agreed and slowly walked towards the trio of Skinlings steadily, and once in front of them, the Skinlings all turned and eerily smiled at the applicants. Their skin stretched to absurd lengths, making them seem like lunatics.

"Ew... Those Skinlings are so unnerving to look at. Why are they even smiling? They don't have brains and aren't even alive." Valentina stated while readying her longsword and shield. Additionally, she gave Natasha, Allura, and herself one extra luck stat point.

[Luck has risen by one temporarily.]

"I'm not sure, but we must kill them now before more show up." Natasha replied before leaving her backpack with Kiannah and running at one of the Skinlings.

Subsequently, Valentina and Allura left theirs, too, before running to the other two Skinlings and beginning to fight each, one on one.

"Take this, you vile creature!" Natasha yelled as she drew her Katana and swung its blade at the Skinling In front of her.

The Skinling dodged to the right avoiding Natasha's swing before pulling back and attempting to punch her face. Additionally, its lips formed into a smirk.

'Disgusting. At least it isn't those Zombies from the movies. These are less troublesome than being scratched once and becoming one.' Natasha thought, grimacing before barely dodging the punch and swinging her katana right next to the Skinlings arm.

Consequently, a strip of the Skinling's skin ripped off, and blood vessels dangled from the skin hanging on Natasha's blade. Subsequently, she pulled back hard before stepping backward three feet and sighing.

The Skinling looked at its arm before refocusing its attention on Natasha and attempting to tackle her.

'Ugh, these Skinling's fighting skills are annoying, though. They know how to punch, kick, and even use their bones as weapons.' Natasha thought before leaping left and out of the way while swinging her katana right as the Skinling ran past her.

The Skinling couldn't react in time as a large amount of skin ripped off its side, revealing many blood vessels of various sizes holding its skeleton together. However, some also ripped off, causing its posture to slump forward.

'Alright, I need to kill it and see how Valentina and Allura are doing.' Natasha thought while landing, quickly getting up and running at the Skinling.

The Skinling turned around and gazed upon Natasha and how she quickly approached it before it ran at her. Subsequently, it lifted both arms over its head and swung them down at Natasha's head.

"Crap!' Natasha stated before leaping forward and narrowly dodging the swing. Afterward, she briskly cut the Skinlings right ankle as hard as possible.

Consequently, the attack snapped the Skinlings ankle as it forcefully leaned right, and while it did so, Natasha swung her sword at the Skinling's head, decapitating it.

'No thanks, I feel I need to be careful.' Natasha thought while panting and sweating profusely before looking in Valentina's and Allura's direction.

Valentina was caught up in a fierce battle with the second Skinling while Allura had killed the one she had fought. After two minutes, Valentina killed the Skinling she fought.

"Well done, everyone." Kiannah says while clapping and smiling.
