Earth Trio's Trial in Pocket Dimension of the Dead

Natasha POV

At the same time, the class of madness applicants entered their trial. The other applicants gathered in front of a giant amethyst portal. Additionally, they all had weapons of their choosing in their hands.

An older man walked in front of the applicants. He had short grey hair, a grey mustache, and grey eyes.

"Hello, everyone. It's about time for you all to enter the pocket dimension of the dead. But first, you'll receive supplies based on how long you must survive there." The older man announced.

"Wait, sir. They're so many of us. How will you do so?" Natasha asked.

The older man turned to her and smiled.

"Well, we'll use large-scale magic to teleport supplies in a backpack to each of you." The older man replied before he started writing in the air with his finger, and after thirty seconds of doing so, he stopped.

Consequently, a large backpack appeared on every applicant's back, each with a varying weight depending on their class.

"I must warn you all, don't group up in teams of six or more. After all, if you do, you will attract stronger enemies."

All the applicants nodded and awaited further instructions.

"Now enter the portal in an orderly manner, and survive." The older man instructed before smiling.

The applicants followed the older man's directions and entered the portal orderly. And after thirty minutes, everyone entered the portal.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Natasha opened her eyes and looked at the sky.

Two small moons shone upon the surface. However, no stars were visible in the heavens. Faint puffy white clouds also floated above.

Looking downward, she saw mountains covered in decrepit ruins and long meandering roads snaking through the peaks.

Afterward, she sighed before looking at her immediate vicinity and saw many people grouping up. Subsequently, she began looking for Valentina and Allura.

"Valentina! Allura! Where are you!" Natasha yelled while searching the premise.

"We're over here!" Valentina yelled from the other side of the mass of people.

Natasha nodded and briskly meandered her way around other people until reaching Valentina and Allura.

"Let's go and find a place to stay for our duration. Also, what class did you both get into." Allura asked while raising her brow.

"I'm in A class." Natasha stated while smiling.

"I entered B class." Valentina replied.

"Sadly, I entered D class." Allura replied while frowning.

"Hey, it's alright, Allura. Maybe there's a way to move up in classes." Valentina comforted.

"Don't lose hope, Allura. We believe in you." Natasha says while patting Allura's shoulder.

"Thanks, guys. However, my family is going to be disappointed in me." Allura says while smiling, and a tear falls from her eye.

"Hey, we'll come with you, Allura. Don't worry." Valentina comforted.

"Okay, let's go. We should leave now." Allura says while heading east.

Natasha and Valentina nodded and followed Allura's lead. However, before they could go far, someone else arrived.

"Hey, can I come with you guys?" Kiannah asked while wearing her armor and holding her sword.

"Sure, just follow us." Valentina replied.

Kiannah nodded and started walking beside the trio.

"We should probably find shelter and not fight against any creatures if there are any." Valentina suggested.

"I agree, Valentina. However, we still might need to do so to clear out anything in a ruin." Natasha added.

"I wonder where Hendrix is in the afterlife." Allura says while sighing.

"Hm, I'm not sure, but all I know is he's in a better place." Valentina says while sighing too.

Kiannah pondered for a bit before smiling.

"Hendrix isn't dead. He has a terrifying protector. She's so powerful she made everyone get migraines with her voice, and the pain made me kneel. She's utterly horrifying, and I don't think we should mess with her." Kiannah says.

"What, how did he live?" Valentina asked as her voice croaked.

"I'm not sure, but I think his protector saved him. When her eyes glowed, and she spoke, her voice caused shivers of pain every time I moved. She's a terror. I wouldn't be surprised if she makes it to class X without effort with her abilities." Kiannah explained with admiration.

"What's her name?" Allura asked while starting to walk to the east.

"Her name is Priya, and she held Hendrix almost the entire time. And he trusted her and clung to her." Kiannah explained while following Allura.

"I need to get Priya on my side. If she's real, she could help me in my family struggles." Allura muttered.

"What are you muttering, Allura?" Natasha asked while smiling and following her.

"Nothing." Allura replied hurriedly.

"Uh-huh..." Natasha says while not pursuing the subject further.

"Kiannah, I want to see Hendrix." Valentina says while following Allura.

"So do I. However, I doubt Priya will allow us near him. I also don't know how she got him to trust her so much." Kiannah replied while grimacing, remembering how powerful Priya was.

"Hey, can I join your group?" Theodore yelled while running towards the group.

Natasha, Valentina, and Allura turned their heads toward Theodore with cold looks.

"No, you cannot. Find your own. You almost killed Hendrix for no reason! How will we know you won't do the same to us, huh?!" Allura yelled, her voice becoming dark.

"I'm sorry, it was an accident. I didn't mean to do that. I only wanted to bruise him up a bit in the past." Theodore replied.

Kiannah's expression changed, and she hid her face, and it seemed a shade of darkness covered her eyes.

"You harmed Hendrix? And almost killed him?" Kiannah asked as she clenched her fists hating her benefactor was hurt.

"Yes, and I'm sorry. It was an accident." Theodore replied.

Kiannah sighed before smiling.

"I'll deal with you after we return to the academy. And you aren't going to like the punishment I have for you.~" Kiannah says while she licks her lips.

Theodore had a shiver go down his spine before quickly backing away and running off, looking for another group.

"Kiannah, can you not do that? I know you don't like Theodore, but what you did was creepy." Valentina says.

"I apologize. I'll be more careful about how I portray myself." Kiannah says while sighing.

"Let's go search for a place to stay now." Allura says.

Everyone else nodded and followed her.
