Chapter 23: Settling some unfinished business (Final part)

After Ye Chen fainted due to both mental stress and rage, Hai played with Bing Qing for a little while and did some more torture to an unconscious Ye Chen. Then he also but both Bing Qing and Ye Zhen to sleep.

Then, Hai started the final and most important part of the plan.

Using of the core he still hadn't completely digested on purpose, he let faint traces of Ye Chen's mana cover his body and went towards Bing Qing.

He needs to be careful when dealing with her. As passionate as their moments were, when she regains her consciousness, she wouldn't be that obedient puppy anymore.

Also, one thing Hai noticed is that Bing Qing must have a strong backer or she is from a hidden family.

He used this spell on Ye Chen and finally got up.

"I hope Ye Chen like my little gift. His dear master and sister turning their backs at him. Enjoy, Ye Chen~" Hai said aloud with a merry tone.

'Now, for the grand finale.' He vanished from the room with the three of them.

Hai was calmly sitting on a chair in his office.

This time however, he wasn't at his mansion as he had auctioned it through a bank.

He is in a big underground hideout with all of his staff, which all still wanted to work for him.

Hai was leisurely drinking his tea while Elena stood behind him ready to attend any of his needs.

It was just a normal day.

*BAM*

The door to his office was suddenly blasted open.

"Hay, hay, hay~!" A sweet and melodic voice was heard right after the door was blasted open.

Hai looked at the side and saw the elf woman from Stella's reunion some time ago.

He looked at some of his staff right behind her looking at him with apologetic expressions.

He made a small gesture to not worry and simply let them alone.

"So, what do I own the honor?" He asked after turning back to her.

She hummed a song and walked towards him.

Each step she took made her mountains visibly shake.

Hai raised an eyebrow.

He questioned himself if she was doing this consciously or if she was simply an air-head.

After arriving in front of Hai, the woman, Ari as she presented herself, took a paper from between her breasts and gave it to Hai.

Hai put his cup of tea down and picked the paper.

He was quite surprised that someone was using paper to pass him something. Nowadays people rarely use paper for anything.

He unfolded the thing and read what was written.

There were only two things written in it.

- Find a job.

"…" Hai blankly stared at the note.

- P.S: It needs to be in the government. Also, destroy this note when you finish reading.

After some seconds, the paper froze and broke into nothingness.

Ari was simply smiling in the meanwhile.

Hai raised his face and looked at her with an interested but weird expression.

"So, we are being told to work?"

"Yep." She nodded enthusiastically.

"In the government?"

"Hum." She nodded again.

"For what exactly reason?"

"Dunno."

Hai already had an idea why they were going to "work" in the government but he just wanted to be sure.

Now that he heard she didn't know, he knew it was most likely what he thought it to be.

<Stella wants us in the government for us to work inside it and manage some "resources". And in case anything goes wrong, they will trace it back to us and not her. A useful scapegoat.>

Some veins bulged on Elena's neck when she heard what her young master thought.

She was really starting to hate Stella.

Hong Li-Wei who was also hearing his thoughts was starting to think if she should try to take Stella down.

After their little date, it would be an understatement to say that she and Hai became just closer than before.

He did this several times in the past already and even had to sometimes betray some personnel he hired when they were too incompetent.

Hai got up from his chair and stretched his body to take off the stiffness due to sitting for too long.

"Alright, if you came to me, I assume we're to work together." He asked and she quickly nodded.

"Okay, got any idea for where to start?" She shook her head.

"Okay. Then let us first see where there are jobs we can apply to." He pulled his phone out, pinched both sides of it and pulled his arms to opposite sides.

His phone enlarged and became a screen as big as a holo-TV.

Hai put it on top of his table and started to search for some vacant jobs online.

Ari skipped to his side while also glancing at Elena from the corner of her eyes.

Elena noticed this but said nothing.

Ari smiled and turned to look at the screen.

"We have…" He opened a list of vacant jobs.

"Janitor."

"Pass." Ari instantly said.

"Lawyer."

"How did it suddenly go from janitor to lawyer so quickly?" She asked dumbfounded.

"Some people simply suck at making lists." Hai commented and passed the lawyer option. He is sure he would die of headache if he picked this one.

"Office boy/girl." Both of them looked between themselves and passed the option without commenting.

Hai sighed and applied both of them for the job.

Ari felt offended with his blunt doubt about her abilities.

Hai looked at her up and down.

Then looked back at her eyes.

"If you yourself can perceive this without anyone telling you this, then doesn't this mean that you recognize you are not fit?"

Ari's eyebrows twitched.

She didn't know this guy had a sharp tongue.

"Should we go to the interview, rude sir?" Ari emphasized the last part.

"Well, we should. But the interview is only three days later, attentive lady." Hai said with a smile on his face.

A vein bulged on Ari's forehead.

"Fine then, smart ass. I'm staying here for those three days. You better take good care of me." She then stormed out of his office.

"Don't break anything or beat anyone up otherwise you will be for it, okay?" Hai stated in a louder tone while she was getting further and further away.

"I want to see it happening." She mocked him.

"If you do any of those, I'm going to take photos of you naked and sell it to some perverts to raise the money necessary to pay for what you broke or the medical expenses of my staff."

Ari who was previously full of confidence suddenly tripped and fell face-first on the ground when she heard him.

She looked behind her with astonishment but Hai had already closed the door.

She stood there for good 10 seconds and then got up while she resolved herself to not break anything while staying in here.

Those 3 days of her staying here just went from a period where she would annoy Hai to one where she would be on surveillance 24/7.

Meanwhile, inside a medium company's office.

*CRASH*

"F*CK!!!"

"HOW DARE HE!?!?!?" Bellowed a voice full of rage.

Ye Chen who was the owner of said voice was throwing everything inside the office to the ground or walls.

He was beyond mad.

Around a week earlier, he woke up in a dark alley.

Confused by what he was doing there, he tried to remember what happened to him.

And this was when the memories of Hai's torture came to him.

He started to get furious beyond measure, but this was the least of his problem now.

Suddenly feeling a strong slap on his face or rather, a strong force, Ye Chen was sent flying into the wall.

As he had lost his cultivation, he was but a normal person right now and as one, several of his bones broke and he started coughing blood.

He raised his head and saw his master looking at him with a furious expression.

"Ye Chen. I have tolerated your terrible behavior for years now. I have even helped you even when you clearly didn't deserve, but every thing has a limit and this time, you have crossed all of them."

Ye Chen still confused tried to say something but Bing Qing grabbed his jaw.

She looked with her eyes ablaze with rage into his eyes and said, or whispered by how low her voice was. But the coldness in her voice couldn't be mistaken.

"Stupid disciple of mine. You weren't content with r*ping an innocent girl, but you even tried to r*pe your own sister…"

When Ye Chen heard this, his brain stopped.

He tried to r*pe Ye Zhen?

It was Ye Zhen who tried, no, it was she who r*ped him!

Alas, he couldn't talk as his master kept holding him by the jaw.

She was extremely disappointed.

He tried to r*pe an innocent girl.

Then he tried the same thing with his sister.

And when she arrived to help, he fought against her because of his childish behavior of wanting to have anything he wishes and not wanting to be contradicted.

In the fight he used an artifact he got abroad and dealt a critical blow that made he lose 3 whole levels in her cultivation.

Then, as if it all wasn't enough, he even committed murder for no reason.

He murdered the former Jin family's young master, Hai, for no reason at all.

He simply took the guy to an abandoned place inside a room and blew him up to the point his body wasn't even in a recognizable state.

She was extremely angry at him for doing it all, but most because of her lost cultivation.

This will take her months to recover!

She looked at the unconscious Ye Chen.

'It's time for you to learn that the world doesn't belong to you, you stupid disciple.'

She vanished from the alley while taking Ye Chen along with her.

So, what do you guys think about this chapter?

We're finally done with Ye Chen and his t*rture but he won't be walking away with just this, obviously.

Also, about Bing Qing, she won't suddenly fall in love with Hai out of nowhere like that. Mainly due to her thinking that he is dead. But don't worry, I don't intent to drag it for too much before developing their relationship.

Now, two important things:

1- Would you all like for the dates between Hai and a harem member (or more depending on the case) be in one normal chapter or be written as a separated chapter, just like I did with the smut one?

2- Would you like to have a Discord's server/ community for this novel? I'm asking this because some time ago a reader asked me if I had Discord, and some/ several novels do one. But, I myself have no actual idea of what to do in one as I have never participated in one before, so I'm asking what you guys think about it.
