Chapter 13: The Past, Future And Present

12 pm came and the still quite evaporated. During the morning after doing some archery with Josh, Rosa immediately went back to work and sent letters to the Galaxious Group, the Royal Family and all of the members of the Rose Group. She assigned tasks to her people and made plans with the head of each party and soon their plans went underway.

Many people with their own unique talents were grouped with people from the other party who had similar talents. Some went to investigate, some went to create little traps to slow the enemy down, some created special items and many more.

Of course the people from the Roses' went disguised in their uniforms, the people of the Galaxious Group brought their badges and the people who are part of the organisations under the Royal Family's control brought different items representing which type of work they're from. This was how they identified each other and made sure they weren't discussing important information with the wrong people.

The higher ups of these three parties didn't leave straight away but instead planned a meeting to discuss things deeper and further. They all decided to meet in the High Meeting Room in Vas and members of the Roses' who were yet to leave, guided the blindfolded people into their base.

Rosa rushed past people from different parties and gathered papers of all sorts, did a bit of revision and flew up to the High Meeting Room. Upon arriving Rosa made her way to her seat as people from different organisations sat down and watched The Rose's figure sort through some papers at the same speed of lightning. When she was finished the whole room was packed and she started speaking.

"Thank you all for attending today. Now let us discuss the matter of Black Assassin and Black Lilac even further".

The King, Alfred and Claude Galaxious, along with the Red and Pink Rose were present at the meeting. Rosa created a fake Ariana to sit in her place and the other Five Roses were busy managing some operations.

Words filled the room and after two hours the meeting ended. It was decided the three paties would be able to use each others resources so Rosa quickly wrote up contracts and dashed to a workshop nearby with Adrian by her side.

She got a large piece of rosewood then swung her hand vertically and horizontally and said, "sectis".

Multiple lines then appeared and cut the wood into cards as Rosa smoothly moved her arm through the air which caused a gust of wind to move the cards into a box nearby. She then placed a special card on top of the box, cut her hand, drew a circle then pushed her hands in front of her and then said, "c.v.m".

The blood coming from her cut moved through the air and into the box which caused it to spin for a few seconds then drop back onto its little, metal table. What she did was recreate the card placed on top of the box and used her blood to make it so people knew it was a real access card to Vas. The blood made it so when the card was presented to anybody they will know it is real and the way it works is through the feeling the card gives you. The feeling cannot be intercepted or changed in any way making it truly powerful magic, but of course it comes with a cost.

Rosa fell to the floor and clutched her now incredibly white hand. The cost is blood, a lot of blood. Adrian helped her onto a chair and sent out the contracts along with the cards to Alfred Galaxious and Arthur Celeste for them to distribute to those they think should be allowed to use the facilities in Vas. Adrian then held a drink to Ariana's lips which she gulped down as her body laid like a lifeless doll on a chair.

Rosa was then forced to change back to Rosetta's form and she started to slide down the chair. Adrian held her in his arms as she started to shake. The amount of blood taken from her was incredibly large since she had to make many cards and that left her with a weak body, one she isn't used to and one she hated.

The feeling of being weak annoyed and upset her. It made her feel useless and worthless, the complete opposite of who she is and stands to be. Memories started to flood her mind and tears started to form. Adrian is one of the very few people who have seen her cry, who knows of her tragic kidnapping and have comforted her. Being her childhood friend he knew everything about her and knew her weaknesses so when Rosetta ever performed magic which caused her to lose a large amount of something, which left her weak he would always be there to comfort her.

Adrian held her close and gently caressed her head as she started sobbing while remembering the time she saw her friends... Disappear. Adrian continued to comfort her until suddenly the door of the workshop opened and in came Josh.

Josh looked at the scene in front of him and was absolutely bewildered. 'Why in the world is Adrian comforting a crying girl, and why does the crying girl seem so familiar?' Thought Josh.

Adrian quickly hid Rosetta's face and asked, "my what brings you here Josh?"

"Well when I was informed of this new alliance I went to look for Ariana, but someone said she disappeared so I went look for The Rose when somebody said they saw her come here. Now what about this?" Questioned Josh as he pointed at Adrian and Rosetta.

Rosetta stopped crying and stayed still as Adrian thought up an excuse. "Well I saw this girl crying and thought I might comfort her. Can't let beauties cry now can we".

Josh sighed and looked at the person Adrian was holding. He felt like he should comfort her too but didn't know why and hoped he wasn't turning into Adrian. "Well I'll leave you alone then, but do you know where Ariana or Rosa is?" Asked Josh.

"Ah... They're busy right now, really busy, so you won't be able to meet them right now", answered Adrian.

"Oh... Okay then. Thank you and try not to break any rules. Goodbye".

Adrian waved Josh goodbye and when the doors closed he sighed in relief. "That was close now wasn't it", said Adrian.

Rosetta nodded weakly and tried to stand up but ended up falling back into Adrian's arms. "It's probably best to stay like this for a while", said Adrian as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Thanks for helping me, you're a great friend", whispered Rosetta slowly.

"It's no problem for you".

Adrian couldn't help but feel sad by the friend zoning, but he was okay since he was able to hold Rosetta.

-Josh's POV-

I wandered around as I thought about what I should do. My father had told me that since I don't know much about this and that it is safer for me here, I am to stay here and take orders from The Rose or Ariana instead, but since they are busy I haven't been assigned to anything.

I soon remembered what I saw back at the workshop and the feeling I got when I saw the girl. My urge to comfort her surprised me since I normally don't have that type of urge and I couldn't help but hope I'm not going to turn into Adrian in the future. I sighed, I also remembered how I felt like I knew her too. Maybe that was the reason why I had that urge?

"Ughh!" I shouted in frustration at my feelings.

I am already confused about my feelings for Ariana and I also can't help but feel something when I'm with Rosa... What is going on? I leaned against a wall nearby and sighed loudly which caught the attention of Misty.

Misty appeared in front of me with her half gold, half crystal wings which left particles of light in the air as she flew through it. She flew onto a branch and stared at me then flew circles around my head which instantly made me feel better.

When she stopped I noticed there was a piece of paper in her clutches which she then dropped onto my head. I got the piece of paper and read. The note said 'Go to the Cave Of Rarity -Ariana'.

I was ecstatic upon reading this and quickly made my way to the Museum Of Vas with a little skip in my walk. I made my way to the pond from today, but I had no idea on how to get in until Misty flew to a rock and landed on it then flew into the pond. I jumped into the pond after her and soon found myself back in a dark cave filled with water.

I swam to the surface and found that instead of Ariana, there was a shining, rainbow flower which emitted a golden light. I walked closer to it slowly and looked at Misty. She nodded her head and I touched the flower but there was silence for a few seconds until I finally heard a whisper, "lux splendida".

Light engulfed the room and I soon found myself somewhere else.

Cherry blossoms surrounded me and I could feel some landing on me as a light breeze drifted by. I stepped forward and between the trees to see more cherry blossoms fluttering down from above and onto the floor, covering it with pink and white. I decided to start exploring this forest of cherry blossoms and found myself at a opening where a girl with shining black hair stood. She wore a fluttery, white dress which went all the way to the ground; the fabric on her upper half looked like it fit her body perfectly and the sleeves were also gloves with glittering white embroidery on them. She also wore a pink cloak made out of silk and her hair was half up in a bun while the other half was braided which rested on her shoulder.

The person turned her head in my direction and I froze. Unsure of what to do I waved and the corner of her lips turned up and she then said, "follow me".

She soon started running and I quickly followed behind her, wondering about what she was doing.

Petals flew past us as we ran and the smell of flowers got stronger the further we ran and the closer I got to her. "Isn't this fun, running through the forest as cherry blossoms surround us", said the girl cheerfully. "Who needs to have magic when you've got this!"

The girl turned around and I could see she had the eyes of the Galaxious family. "Isn't that right Bern?" Asked the girl.

What?

I am not Bern.

And why does this girl have the same eyes as those from the Galaxious family?

"A kingdom that doesn't revolve around magic. That would be nice. A place where I could be accepted and not be looked down upon despite having a powerful family. Bern Faye, I hope we will be together despite the huge difference in magical power and I hope in the future you will be the best magician out there!" Said the girl.

Suddenly I heard a voice coming out of me which isn't mine.

"Diana, please do remember that just because you have no magical power does not mean you are weak. You have easily proven to be a worthy member of the Galaxious family with your wits and you have discovered many things that not even the most powerful magician could find out", said a boy's voice.

"If only most of them weren't stolen by Troy Adler. Now I can't remember how to make glass strong enough to contain eternal flame".

"That Troy Adler, I swear one day I will overthrow him and make Adler a great kingdom and when that happens I will invite you to become my queen".

"Then I've got to get working and become useful to this world and no longer be weak".

The girl blushed and giggled then suddenly the scenery and the girl disappeared.

-Third person POV-

Josh was back in the Cave Of Rarity and instead of there being a rainbow rose in front of him there was instead a diary. On the diary there was a note which said 'take care of this well Josh. The future king of Celeste -Diana Faye'.

Confused, Josh opened the book and read some of its contents. He soon realised he was previously in a vision of the past.

He was in the body of Bern Faye, the person who replaced Troy Adler as king. The vision was of Bern Faye and Diana Galaxious when they were younger during the time of Troy Adler's reign in Adler. If he remembered correctly, as they grew older they became more powerful. Diana became the most powerful non-magical user and is one of the most biggest contributors in getting Celeste to have the most advanced magic out of all the kingdoms despite not having any magical power. Bern Faye became the most powerful magician in his time and helped out largely in overthrowing Troy. He soon became king after that and restored the Kingdom Adler along with making it more powerful. Later on when everything had settled down Bern proposed to Diana and the two became king and queen.

The book Josh was holding is the Diary Of Diana, but why did he have it?

As Josh wondered about Ariana soon appeared from the entrance. "There you are Josh. I've been looking for you", said Ariana.

"What do you mean? Didn't you send me a note saying to meet you here?" Asked Josh.

"Never did", responded Ariana.

Suddenly both Ariana and Josh heard whispers. "Please do not tell her about the book Josh", whispered something to him.

"A day that is young and a night that is dark, the two are opposites but no matter what, they'll always be connected", whispered something to Ariana.

"What the?" Said Ariana and Josh in sync.

Then Ariana remembered something and quickly said, "sorry I've got go now, bye!"

"Wait! I've got someting to ask yo-"

Before Josh could finish his sentence Ariana had already left. The Prince sighed and opened the book again, flipped through the pages and found a interesting note. It said, "Bern has told me he has figured out how to send things to the future. He also told me something important, really important. Josh Celeste, if you are reading this. Read through this and keep it safe. Only you and Misty can know of the existence of this book. Many things will happen in the future and during that time stay as close as you can to Ariana, she will always be there for you even when it seems she isn't. Many troubles lay ahead of you but always remember what you have learnt even when it seems unimportant. Everything makes something happen, I should know. Continue reading this book and tell no one of this. For us, for everyone, we shall never wither, but grow stronger".
