Challenged

{Princess Evelyn POV}

It's been three weeks since the summoning of the heroes. I assume they have gotten used to being in this world. So far they have been training with Bishop, our kingdom's chief Knight. I've noticed that the heroes have gotten quite talented in combat. Sir Chris and Miss Auria especially, they took the physical training more seriously and can even spar on evenly terms with our trained knights who have been practicing Swordsmanship since they were Children. Ah well, that's to be expected as summoned heroes get stronger way faster than even the most top-tier genius.

Miss Bella and Sir Leo took the route of magical training and they are progressing just as fast as the others. Sir Ken on the other hand have not been participating in these training sessions. I heard from my parents that he doesn't need the training, but I still kind of want to see him fight.

'Sigh' Sitting in the garden where all types of colorful flowers were Evelyn sat gracefully accompanied by her personal maid.

"Your highness are you sure you are not fatigued or ill?" The maid made a worried expression.

"Clair you worry too much, I've told you I'm fine" Everyone is still worried about me because of what happened at the summoning, but I'm more worried about my parents. Apparently, something happened at the summoning because they have been acting weird since then. My father specifically has been very anxious.

"What do think about the heroes of our kingdom Clair?"

"They are young but they seem to be quite capable based on the knight's compliments" said the maid with a contemplative expression

"I see. And Sir Ken?"

"W-well um to be honest I don't know. He doesn't have the best personality from what I've heard" said the maid.

"I see."

"Is your highness interested in him?"

"No, I was just asking because he's so much different from the others."

"Speaking of the heroes would you like to go and greet them? They should be in the training grounds right now."

"No it's fine, I watched them train yesterday"

'Besides it's not like 'he' will be there'

{Ken POV}

Ken was sitting under a tree in the same position he was in before he was summoned to this world. Not far away he was watching the others train. Although he didn't train with them he wanted to see the training techniques that were used in this world. However, he was not impressed.

'They call swinging a sword 100 times vertically and horizontally training?'

Before Ken would have never said this but he was now used to a much harsher training routine which involved climbing mountains thirty thousand feet high with no warm clothes or shoes. He had to do ten thousand push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, etc. He would fight to the death with other opponents who were much more experienced, not to mention the way he trained his deadly three-bladed demonic sword art exclusively only on the battlefield. This meant he had to be involved in several sect wars to get this technique as absolute as possible.

Ken got up and dusted off his clothes. After he got escorted to his room he got a new pair of clothes. He wore a black tight-fitted long sleeve coat that split near his waist, which made his disciplined body a bit noticeable. Additionally he wore black pants with Japanese-style sandals. His long black messy hair was now in a ponytail, so his face was now pronounced, he had a handsome face with long eyelashes that matched the color of his hair.

'Guess I'll go train as well' Ken turned around and started walking away from the training area until...

"Excuse me" a female voice entered his ears.

Ken stopped but didn't turn around.

"Hey, Ken was it? My name is Auria" Auria had on slight armor to cover certain parts of her upper and lower body.

Ken replied in his soft low voice "Ok?"

"Why don't you come train with us?"

"Don't want to"

"Oh okay-"

Suddenly Chris chimed in "Auria just let the emo kid leave, he doesn't need to be over here"

Ken turned his head a little to look at Chris

"What are you looking at I was talking to Auria not you!" Chris shouted and everyones attention was directed towards them.

Auria looked at Chris and frowned "Chris stop causing a scene-"

"Pfft" she was cut off by Ken's slight laughter

"What the hell is so funny?" Chris vein in his head bulged

Just when he was about to rush Ken Auria jumped in front of him "What's your problem Chris stop being so petty."

Chris just pushed her to the side " Shut up this has nothing to do with you. Hey Ken you bastard I challenge you to a duel!"

Auria was about to tell Chris to stop once more when suddenly a thought came to her mind 'Wait I actually want to see him fight as well.'

Ken just smirked a little "sigh* people train for a couple of days then think they can take on the world"

This ticked off Chris even more "Accept the challenge then!" he screamed as he unsheathed the longsword he had on his back and pointed it towards Ken.

Unexpectedly the aura around Ken changed and pressure around the entire training area experienced a world-crushing pressure. The only one who was not brought to his knees was Bishop the chief knight.

Then a soft cold voice pierced everyone's ears and brought shivers to Chris

"Can you handle the responsibility that comes with pointing that sword at me?"
