The Artist Of Science
The story is set in the arid desert country of Zona, where Alkamis, a young man, dreams of pursuing an education in the distant town of Turika. Despite the skepticism of his friends and the challenges posed by the harsh environment, Alkamis reveals his true desire to journey even further south to the legendary city of Garashia. As he prepares for his departure, he faces mixed reactions from his friends, especially Elda, who reacts emotionally to the news. Alkamis shares his aspiration to become a scientist and pursue intensive education, but his mother, Taya, suspects a deeper motivation related to his absent father. Taya, supportive yet cautious, provides Alkamis with essentials for his journey, including a horse and earnings saved by Uncle Zayo. The story unfolds with a mix of dreams, aspirations, and familial connections as Alkamis prepares to leave Zona and embark on an uncertain journey.
