During their last victory at the trost, they were able to capture two pure titans, a 7m and 9m tall titans, thanks to the dug-up holes in their district.

Hange, the section commander, chose to take part in the expedition of the titans and she was perfect for the job.

They discovered that they grew weak when they can no longer be opened to sunlight, while Jonny was able to stay up for 3hours without sunlight, Zeo lasted 6 hours, funny how she named the titans.

They don't need to eat but they focus mainly on their primary instinct, which is to eradicate the human race.

They don't feel plain, and have no reason to breathe but yet they have organs for that.

When a part of a titan's body is cut off, it becomes as light as a feather, which gives her the conclusion that there are husks, and just like Eren's titans, they form out of nothing.

She kept on ranting throughout the entire night to Eren, he had dark circles under his eyes and the lack of sleep was finally getting to him.

"And that is why I believe Titans are all the same, and if we are going to win this war, we have to look past killing them, and just gather Intel on them" Hange smiled.

The door suddenly opened and Ayato fell in, just behind him was Ava, she had blood all over her uniform as she walked in.

"Why are you torturing this poor boy with your lame titan story? '' Ava said as she placed her legs on the table, resting her back on the chair.

"I could ask you the same thing" Hange looked at Ayato's body on the ground, he was so exhausted that he couldn't say a single word.

One of the MPs suddenly walked in, sweating bullets as he yelled, "Commander Hange, your titans! Are dead" He yelled.

Hange immediately got to the scene to check it out and, Eren also followed.

When they got there, they saw the bones of the titans already burning up, Hange wept so badly, screaming their names as though they could hear her.

"Who would do something so cruel!" Hange cried.

"When we got here, the criminal had already escaped, I'm sorry" The head section Mp apologized.

"Captain Levi, do you think a scout did it?" Eren asked, they made Eren cover his face with a hood so Mp won't feel the need to start overreacting.

"We're not getting involved, whoever did it is not our business, we leave this to the mp, let's go," He said before storming out of the scene.

Before Eren left, Commander Erwin placed his hands on Eren's shoulder, pulling his face close before he asked, "Who do you think did it?"

Eren was completely frozen from how Erwin's eyes were focused on the titan corpse, he couldn't say for sure but his heart began racing.

"Ignore me, I'm just thinking out loud", Commander Erwin said before leaving.

Back at headquarters, Ayato was still on the ground exhausted, he turned to see Ava sitting on the table with her legs crossed.

Her eyes were fixed on him as she smiled, "Should we go train some more?" She asked.

"No thank you, I'm not that desperate to die" Ayato grunted on the ground.

"You survived under a bridge for, Five years? that's what your report stated, " Ava smirked.

"Being held under a bridge, with no food or water isn't exactly training, I don't even know how I survived", Ayato replied.

A flashback of a woman in a white gown feeding him apples suddenly hit him, he could vividly recall being fed apples by this woman but not enough to piece everything together.

"Are you okay?" Ava asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine" Ayato stared at his hand like he had just seen a ghost.

Clash!

Someone burst into the headquarters through the window, the person had an Odm gear with them, and from the figure, it was a girl, wearing a face mask.

As soon as she got in, she propelled her body towards Ayato, Ava was able to intervene, leaving only a crash on Ayato's forehead.

Ava grabbed the wooden brush that was resting at the side of the wall, "Okay, who are you?" Ava asked.

But the girl didn't utter a single word, she launched herself towards Ava and began attacking with her blades.

Ava was able to block it all, but the wooden brush didn't last long before it broke in two.

"Oh, my" Ava uttered.

Ava held the girl's hand, before giving her a headbutt, The girl fell to the ground, she looked up to see the sinister smile on Ava's face.

Ava was about to land a punch to her face but the girl pushed her back using her legs, before doing a backflip.

Ayato just watched, with his hands in his mouth, fighting the thoughts of whether he should transform or not.

Then the sound of people walking into headquarters suddenly echoed. The girl didn't waste any time, she pushed Ava away from her and flew out the window.

"She's fast, I'll give her that" Ava smirked before turning to Ayato, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's just a crash but fine, shouldn't you chase her or something" His forehead had blood rushing from it even though it was just a small crash.

"Okay, I bet go report that to Commander Elwin, take care" Ava left the room, ignoring what Ayato said, not long after Eren walked in.

"Aya- Ayato what happened? You're bleeding."

After that incident, of the titans and then the attack on Ayato, Commander Elwin issued a search of Odm from the 104 cadets.

He suspected that someone among the new cadets is the outsider, Erwin like every other leader, followed his intuition.

"Someone really killed those titans?" Connie said, standing beside Armin, they both had their Odm gear with them ready to submit for search.

"And someone attacked Ayato too at the survey corps headquarters apparently," Armin said.

"Ayato? You mean the dude with the pendant?" Connie asked.

"That's the guy, I haven't told Mikasa yet, she's going to flip if I tell her, "Armin said, d with a faint smile.

"I guess someone hated looking at those titans as much as I did. I'm glad they killed them. After witnessing how dangerous titans can be firsthand, I don't want anything to do with them" Armin could see the fear in Connie's eyes.

"Yeah but still, so much knowledge was lost all because of someone's ego, I can't say for sure but I know there's more to this search than they are letting on," Armin said, right before he noticed the Odm gear that was with Annie.

Connie looked at Jean who was a few feet away from him, Jean had his fist tightened as his face was filled with both confusion and determination.

"Jean? Are you really going to do it? Join the scouts?" Connie thought to himself.
