Sword with no Past. part 2. Feelings Under an Apple tree.

The next day, Konrad decided to visit Octavia's workshop. He asked her to produce the metal and she was adamant to finish it at night so he wasn't about to discourage her. He provided her a fridge of food and moved a few blocks of stone so that she had materials for her Metal Regeneration.

He wasn't worried that she didn't sleep all night. He knew that she could easily stay awake for weeks if she so wanted. He wasn't different in that matter. They usually slept because they liked to and it allowed them to refresh their minds.

Konrad opened the door and walked inside only to smile at the sight.

She really went all out. There must have been at least a hundred kilograms of Adamantite and fifty Kilograms of Mithrill! He looked at the little slime that lied on a pouffe on the side of the room. She looked exhausted and sleeping, so it seems that even though she didn't need to sleep usually, this work really tired her out. It was heartwarming to see how hardworking she was so he couldn't stop himself from patting her. She shivered happily in her sleep.

He decided to let her rest for now, and gathered all the metal. Then he placed a small feast of delicious food on the table so that she could enjoy it when she woke up.

Now it was time to finally Repair the Sword!

Before long Konrad was once again in front of the mysterious weapon. The shard now looked bigger than in the beginning. It was a thirty centimeters long double edged blade fragment. It had a dark purplish color, and silver runes adorned its surface but it did feel ominous in any way so he didn't think it was some kind of Demon Sword or whatever.

He once again restarted the process of repairing and firstly focused on supplying Adamantite. He expected something to block him at some point but surprisingly when the capacity was filled to the max, the sword started to expell Mithrill.

'Seems like it knows what's good for him haha!' He thought amusedly and waited until it was completely finished. When it finally stopped absorbing any metals all together Konrad understood that it retained only a few kilos of Mithrill and left Adamantite as the Main material.

But the most important part...he now had an awesome sword in front of himself!

It was a large one handed, double edged, medieval sword with dark purple color and silver runes on the surface. It looked honestly quiet badass! There were gemstones adorning the hilt and the guard itself looked like a fine piece of art.

But when Konrad looked at it with observe, he realized that it wasn't finished.

'Trinity of the Sword Spirit?...Wait! This is a sentient weapon?! Damn I really struck Jackpot here!...But how do I finish it?' Thought Konrad while observing the sword.

He grabbed it and felt a as the sword pleasantly hummed in his hands. It was a funny feeling and only after a few seconds did he realize that the counter for the intent of Master Swordsman rised to 26%! Seems like just by wielding it the sword would collect this Intent or whatever that is. He just hoped that it wouldn't consume his soul or something.

Konrad decided to test an idea he just got. He started to swing the sword like he usually did whenever he trained his Swordsmanship. The sword was interesting as he could just as easily wield it with one or two hands depending on the situation. Just after a few practice swings he could feel as if something imprinted itself in the sword. It wasn't that the sword sucked up the intent, it was more that it used the Mana it had stored to copy his intent, If that made any sense at all...

He checked the status and just as he expected the Intent now read 37%. A part of the Mana also disappeared so Konrad decided to input his Mana while he continued the practice swings.

Another interesting thing. The more he did that, the easier it felt to use a sword for him. He was curious whether the sword intent actually improved the wielders ability to use Swords. It seemed quiet likely but he would have to see how it affects other people as he is already technically a Master Swordsman.

It took him around half an hour to rise the Master Swordsman Intent to 100% and he could feel the humming reeced significantly. It didn't seem as if he could do the other Intent requirements. He'd have to ask his girls to help him. As he see it, the two are perfect to do the Job.

With that in mind Konrad went out to look for Miastiti. Octavia was most likely still asleep or in the process of enjoying the meal he prepared so he would ask her later.

Miastiti was currently sitting under a tree. It was only a small sapling as of yet, but she was determined to help in its growth.

She heard from Konrad that he was yet to figure out any type of plant magic so she wanted to surprise him before she showed him the Spell module.

She was really amazed with his Magical Language though. It was much stronger than the one she knew, and she really wanted to learn it, if only to help Konrad in his research.

She looked at the 'Apprentice tom Of Spears And Daggers' that she got from the Weapon Manual prize orb. She just finished reading it and she was shocked with how she lacked in basics. She always considered herself a prodigy when it came to spear wielding and daggers were her favourite spare weapons for close quarter combat. But she knew that with the new knowledge, Her previous ability would reach even greater heights! She couldn't wait to read the second book and she also needed to ask Octavia to make her a weapon, but for now she had something to do.

With a thought, a complicated hieroglyphic formation appeared in her mind. Then she focused on the small tree in front of her and whispered ≈Tanmu≈ While willing the Mana to do it's magic.

The spell worked and she could feel the magic entering and invigorating the tree which started to grow rapidly and consume the water in the surroundings. Thankfully Konrad's water formations kept the place somehow hydrated as any water that evaporated in the process of the tree's growth returned back to its liquid form as a mist that sunk into the ground. This process works here all the time but it's not usually visible. It was the side effect of her using magic to rapidly grow the tree in front of her, but it looked kinda cool so she just smiled and continued growing the tree.

When her Mana was halfway depleted, Miastiti finally stopped. There, right in front of her, stood a Large beautiful apple tree, with round, glossy, red fruits hanging from its branches.

She grinned seeing her handiwork But what happened next surprised her.

"My, my! That was one fine piece of magic right there Mia!" Konrad said from behind her, startling her momentarily.

She turned around, but when she saw that it was Konrad her expression instantly turned into a happy smile. She run to him and gave him a quick hug while shouting his name.

≈Konrad! Your here! Do you like it? I wanted to make it a surprise but i guess i wasn't too mindful of my surroundings, hehe! What brings you here?≈ She asked him curiously, not even realizing that she was holding his hands after she broke the hug.

Konrad laughed seeing her excited expression and patted her head to calm her down.

"It's certainly an amazing Magic Mia. And you really did a great work with this tree. It's exactly how I hoped for this place to look like. Walkways, Streams, Healthy trees with delicious fruits, flowers, etcetera. This place is going to be our home, so I hope to make it as beautiful as it is possible!' He said, but then he realized that Mia had tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong Kitty" He asked while wiping the tear with his thumb.

≈Y-You said 'our home'...I-I just can't believe how you can be so good to me. We know each other for such a short time, yet every moment i spend with you is the happiest I could ever remember≈ She looked into his eyes with affection.

Konrad couldn't avert his gaze from her eyes as he was completely mesmerized by those two beautiful Emeralds.

"Don't be silly Mia. You have nowhere else to go, and you already became an indispensable part of our lives. I wouldn't have it any other way. " He caressed her cheek but he couldn't expect what happened next.

Mia heard his words and felt warmth spreading in her chest. She is indispensable to him! She, The failure princess, is so important that he won't let me go!...

'I...I...I won't let you go either!' She thought before wrapping his head in her hands a placing her lips on his own.

Konrad was momentarily shocked but he didn't push her away. He would have never expected Mia to act on her feelings so soon, but as it already happened, he allowed himself to melt into the kiss. It was with great disappointment that their lips separated but seems like Mia want ready for more. Her face was red but she was happy. But there was also an apologetic expression on her face and Konrad knew where it was going.

≈I-I'm Sorry! I don't know what came over me. I-

But she was cut short as Konrad planted his own kiss on her lips making her mind go blank.

A few seconds later, their lips parted and he looked at her with a loving expression.

"Silly girl. Why are you apologizing? It's true that I wanted to wait, but only because I didn't want to rush you. But now Your lips are mine and no one else's Kitty. And I'll be taking them whenever I feel like it. I'm sure you don't mind." He said cheekily, making Mia blush further.

He hugged her before she could hide from embarrassment and she soon melted into his embrace.

When they were finally going back to the Palace hand in hand, they left something behind them...

On the trunk of the Large apple tree, there was an engraved heart with a single inscription inside of it...
