Chapter 2: The music club

Moon looked at the group chat, it turned out it was Jake. She found out when he sent a picture of himself and put "hey guys!" She never felt so scared. Scared that the others in the group would find her weird or they wouldn't like her. Moon smiled and let out a sigh of relief when she saw that Ella was in the group chat. Ella noticed that Moon was in the group chat. "Hey Moon!" Ella sent, with a smile Moon texted "Hello!" She felt more confident but she was still scared.

"How are y'all?" Asked Karah who was new to the school at the time. "I'm fine!" Said Moon. Ella said "I'm good!" And Jake also said "I'm good!" Moon decided to ask "how are you, Karah?" Karah said "good!" And they continued to talk until midnight. Moon never felt so happy before knowing she had a chance of making more friends. But after Ella and Karah left the group chat to go sleep for the night Jake asked Moon "what did you try to tell me at school today?" Moon hesitated at first but then said "I wanted to thank you". "Thank me for what?" Asked Jake. Moon looked surprised but then said "you always stood up for me, whenever they'd bully me you'd help me and all I did as thanks was run away. So I felt like I owed you an apology and thank you." Jake didn't respond for a minute, which worried Moon. But he replied with "it's okay! I just can't stand it when they bully you."

They talked for a while longer before Jake went to sleep. Moon decided to stay up and study like she usually did. In the morning while Moon was walking to school Evan saw her and decided to say hello. Evan was a witch who only talked to Moon once. "Hey Moon!" Said Evan. "Hey Evan!" Said Moon with confidence. They talked all the way to school, Moon was surprised that she talked to him with easily.

They both walked over to Ella who was at the entrance of the school waiting for Moon. "Hurry up!!! We're gonna be late!!!" Said Ella. Moon replied with "but it's only 6:45 class starts at 8:20" Ella was surprised by this. "My parents told me it was already 7:45?!?" Said Ella in confusion. "Looks like they tricked you" said Evan with a laugh. "Again?!?" Said Ella. "You're easy to trick" Said Moon. They continued to talk as they walked to their lockers.

As Moon opened her locker someone came up next to her. It was Jake, he seemed kinda tired and Moon asked "are you okay Jake? You seem tired." Jake replied with "I'm good." "Moon did you hear? We're allowed to join the music club this year!" Ella said to Moon. "Really?!?" Moon said they've been waiting to join for 2 years. "Let's go sign up now!" Said Ella with excitement. "Okay! I'll see you later Jake!" Said Moon. "See ya!" Replied Jake.

When they got there they saw Evan playing the guitar and singing quietly. When he stopped Moon looked at him and said "you're very good at the guitar!" Evan looked surprised he thought he was alone. "T-thanks." Said Evan embarrassed that someone heard him. "Are you the leader of the music club?" Asked Ella. "Y-yeah, you two are here to join?" Said Evan. "Yup!" Said Moon. Evan nodded and said "we practice every Friday after school if you can't make it then you can make up later." "Thanks!" Said Moon and Ella.
