Ichibe and Oetsu boarded the Tenchuren to get to the Soul Society. They were going to get a new member of the Royal Guard. And it was a lady this time. 

It was time to get more females into this place anyway. Ichibe was a monk and the Soul King could not talk anyway, so Oetsu thought it was a good addition to the Zero Division. 

So they boarded the Tenchuren and off they went. The travel time wasn't long. In fact, it was very quick. 

The doors opened and a group of Shinigami officials welcomed us. It was a boring talk later that the person of the hour finally arrived. The young woman was quite pretty if he had to say so himself. 

She was a slender and very youthful woman with fair skin and long, black hair. Her height will make her the shortest among other members of Zero Division, but she already wears a pair of extremely thick-soled okobo.

She had a very cool look on her face and overall seemed very collected and focused. Ichibe was his usual happy-go-lucky self that seemed to be a facade that he put on to fool everyone. 

But Oetsu knew better. He knew what sort of man Ichibe Hyosube was and he was not going to trust him. But he also didn't have anything to fear, because he had some of his plans already laid out and he would only have to get to work.

(Oetsu POV)

I watched the crowd and saw some familiar faces from the story. There were two people I knew who seemed to be already alive. The first one was the future Captain of the 13th Division, Saizou Sakahone. 

He was already an old man. I could feel his Zanpakuto and knew all about it only looking at it. And it was a disgusting power that fitted the man I guess. But boy oh boy that was a twisted man. 

Not touching that one with a ten-foot pole. 

The other person I recognised was none other than the future Head Captain of the Gotei 13. Shigekuni Yamamoto, Captain of Squad 1 and one of the most powerful Shinigami to ever live. 

This man was so powerful that two of the biggest villains had to use gadgets that they had prepared to defeat him. That speaks for itself.

I walk over to the still-young Yamamoto and greet him.

"Yo, how you doin'? The name's Oetsu Nimaiya, what's yours?", I ask him. 

He seems to be surprised that someone from the Royal Guards talks to him but catches himself and then speaks normally. 

I can feel his temper and the temper of his Zanpakto. 

"My name is Shigekuni Yamamoto, nice to meet you Nimaiya-san."

"Yare yare call me Oetsu. I can't help but wonder but marvel at your talent, it seems like you already have managed to imprint your Essence onto an Asauchi. Quite cool yo."

"Ah, that is right. But I am nothing special. Shutara-senpai managed to do that a while ago and others managed to do this."

It seems he tries to be respectful because I'm from the Royal Guard.

"Well, I can feel the heat from here and I must say that you have managed to acquire a banger Zanpakuto. Truly powerful I can tell you that. I am looking forward to seeing what you achieve with it.", I smile when I say that.

"Anyway, how about we have ourselves a spar to see how it-"

Ichibe puts his arm around me and smiles his usual toothy grin. 

"Haha, I'm afraid we have to go now. We have finished all our goals and it is time to return.", he said.

"Whaaat? Come on, we just got here. How about some time off from that place in the sky? We could get to know some Shinigami and have some drinks ... eh?"

"Hmm ... no. Let's go back!", Ichibe said.

"Haaa, oh well then. Maybe next time. See you around Shigekuni yo.", I say and we walk towards the Shiba clan compound.

We enter the Tenchuren again, this time with another member of the Royal Guard. 

I have not yet talked with the woman but she is a silent one anyway. But I think it is time to make a good first impression. You only get one chance at first impressions anyway. 

"Yo, the name's Oetsu Nimaiya, glad to meet you.", I say with the best and most polite tone I can manage. 

"Nice to meet you Nimaiya-san. My name is Senjumaru Shutara.", she says with no change in her tone at all. 

"Yare yare you sure are polite. But that won't be necessary for me. We're now fellow Zero Division members, so we will be hanging out a lot. First names are better in my opinion. So call me Oetsu, yes?"

"As you wish Oetsu.", she says with a small smile. 

She didn't tell me to use her first name, so she prefers to get to know me or just doesn't trust me. Smart woman. I wouldn't trust myself either. I mean I am a Mad Doctro and Crafter. 

You can't trust someone who creates Zanpakuto to help him forge and never leave the forge. Such a person must be crazy. And she is correct of course.

The Tenchuren reaches the Royal Palace entrance and we disembark. Maybe I should create some chairs in the Tenchuren. That would make travelling with it better and smoother. I might look into that. 

"The three giant floating discs are the Royal Guard Headquarters. On each disc, there is a city, which the Soul King entrusts to each individual member. Yours is that one there.", Ichibe states and points to the one next to mine. 

"You are free to design your city however you wish and are of course allowed to make changes as you see fit. The rest of the rules you already know and what you don't know, you can ask Oetsu or me. Any questions?", he finishes. 

"None.", she says.

"Good then welcome to the Royal Guards. There is still one thing. Oetsu please come to me for a moment.", Ichibe tells me.

"Sure. See you later Shutara.", I say and follow Ichibe to his island.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?", I ask him.

"The Soul King has decided that it will be necessary to introduce something that will seal the powers of the Zero Division. Due to the power of each member, it will be dangerous for you to unleash your powers as all three worlds would be affected."

"Hmm, I see and what did he have in mind?", I ask him.

"Something like a blood seal that seals the lives of each member of the Zero Division together."

"I see ... this would then ensure that each of the members' Bankai is sealed unless all the others have died. Alright, I can do that. Give me ... two days."

"Two days?", Ichibe asks me with a raised eyebrow.

"Alright, One day. But then the design wouldn't look so aesthetic.", I tell him.

"No that was not what I was wondering. You can create this in only one day?"

"Well yes ... It's not that complicated of a seal. I think I have the materials already prepared somewhere, so I should only have to assemble them and then add some Bakudo to complete them.

I say it like that but it's a bit more complicated."

"You have gotten very skilled at crafting, Oetsu. Very well then. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Sure."

Back on my disc, I get ready to start the Blood Oath Seal, when Kikimaru comes and greets me. 

"Good to have you back sir. I have already prepared some tea and a few snacks for you. I guess you were about to head to the forge, sir?"

"Ah, I guess you caught me. Alright, why not? I did work nonstop for the last three months."

"Indubitably. Please this way sir."

I enjoyed some very good tea and a few sandwiches. I had not realised how hungry I was before I began to eat. And Kikimaru's food is heavenly. I really did well making him. He was the perfect Butler.

After a hearty meal, I got ready to head to the forge when Kikimaru stopped me again.

"Sir, I'm afraid I can't allow you to go to the forge just yet."

"Hm? Why not?"

"You ... smell sir. It is very bad and I think you didn't make a good impression on the new lady Shutara, sir. A good bath is the best thing for you. I already prepared one."

"Eh?"

I smelled myself and almost passed out. He was right, I smelled horrendous. I truly needed a bath.

So after a meal and a nice, relaxing bath, I was finally ready to go and create the Blood-Oath seal. 

I have already prepared for this a long time ago. There was no way that I would ever allow myself or my powers to be sealed. Therefore I prepared for this moment. 

I called it ... the damage dodger. Also named the double D. But I decided that it wasn't quite right and stuck with damage dodger. 

How it worked was simple. I would hold the disc on my person and then have it absorb the Reiatsu of any attack that came my way. It was an efficient little device. I made it when I was working on Ikomikidomoe and trying to replicate his powers.

Ikomikidomoe had the ability of assimilative Evolution and I was interested in both the assimilation and the evolution part. The assimilation part was the thing that led me to develop the damage dodger. 

But why would I use this little disc? 

Simple, I didn't want to be affected by the Blood-Oath seal. I had an idea, however. I knew that Ichibe would understand that I was not affected by the seal. So I had to be 'affected' somehow. 

And I already prepared for that as well. 

I would use the damaged dodger to not just absorb the blood-oath seal, but to redirect it to ... me ...

Now if that was confusing, then let me explain. Using the Essence of the Mad Doctor I could easily create homunculi. But I didn't just want to create a clone of myself. 

So I created a soul clone of myself. That's right. I had gotten to the point where I could clone and craft souls. These souls were not the same as real souls, but very similar. 

Now, I would make the damage dodger assimilate the blood-oath seal and then send it to my soul clone. So no matter what, I could use my powers whenever I wished. It was the perfect plan.

The next day. 

"So this is it?", Ichibe asked as I finished setting up the Blood-Oath's Seal in his basement, if you will.

He wanted to have it on his island. 

"Yes. This is it. And I must say ... it's a beauty."

"What is it, Oetsu?", Senjumaru asked me.

"I call it the Blood Oath's Seal. The Blood Oath's Seal is a special blood pact that prevents us Royal Guard members from using the full power of our swords, by linking their lives together.

The reason for this is due to each of us members of the Royal Guard possesses such vast levels of Reiryoku, that they can destabilize the three worlds by ourselves should we unleash it all without restraint. 

Therefore, you Senjumaru Shutara and I will use each other's lives as seals to prevent our true power from being released; this also prevents us from being able to use our Bankai. 

To unlock this "Blood Oath's Seal", one of the members has to take his or her own life in order to enable the lone survivor to use his or her full power.", I explain the way it works. 

"Oh ... truly marvellous Oetsu. You have become magnificent in your crafting. So shall we start?"

"Yes let's."
