The Journey

Alan and Tyrion rode to Castemere, accompanied by a small escort of guards and servants. They traveled through the lands of the Westerlands, passing by hills and valleys, rivers and lakes, forests and fields.

Alan saw the beauty and the wealth of his homeland, but he also saw the misery and the suffering of its people. He saw how poorly they were treated by their lords, who taxed them heavily and gave them little in return. He saw how they lived in fear and hunger, in dirt and disease, in ignorance and superstition.

He wanted to change it. He wanted to be a different kind of lord, a kind and generous one. He wanted to help the people grow and prosper, to educate and protect them, to inspire and empower them.

He wanted to be known as Alan the Good, Alan the Wise, Alan the Great.

He shared his thoughts and ideas with Tyrion, who listened with interest and curiosity. Tyrion was impressed by his brother's vision and ambition, but he also warned him of the dangers and difficulties of his plan. Alan thanked him for his advice and guidance, but he also assured him of his confidence and determination. He told him that he was ready to face any challenge or obstacle, to overcome any threat or problem, to achieve any goal or dream.

He told him that he was a Lannister, and that he always paid his debts.

They arrived at Castemere after a week of travel. They saw the ruins of the castle on a hill, surrounded by a lake. They saw the entrance to the mines at the foot of the hill, sealed by a heavy iron gate. They saw the remains of a village near the lake, abandoned and decayed.

They also saw a group of bandits near the village, looting and burning what was left of it. They saw them attack a family of farmers who had come to seek shelter in the ruins. They saw them kill the father and the son, rape the mother and the daughter, take their animals and their belongings.

They saw them laugh and cheer as they did it.

Alan felt a surge of anger and disgust. He couldn't stand by and watch such a crime. He couldn't let such scum defile his land and his people.

He drew his sword and charged at them, followed by Tyrion and their guards.

He fought with skill and courage, cutting down several bandits with ease
