People usually say a new day is a new beginning but for Wang Zichen, something along the lines of a new day brings new trouble is more true. To explain his present condition we have to rewind the story a bit,

Zichen was just minding his own business, sitting in the palace gardens, when he heard the rather girly voice of Zhang Miao. She was a petite woman, with long black hair, that was tied up in an elegant hairstyle and blue eyes, she was wearing a light blue Hanfu, she held a fan over half of her face, *just great* he thought, it wasn't that Zhang Miao was a bad person, she was just annoying and clingy, but out of all the consorts, the second consort was the safest. "oh jiejie⁴, how are you doing now?" She asked, "I cried the whole night when I heard you lost your baby" she sat down besides Zichen, putting her fan down, "I hope you feel better soon, come to me if you need anything" she added "Thank you" Zichen said, the two consorts sat in silence for a few moments before being interrupted by one of Miao's maids, "miss it's time" she said "oh, already?" Miao replied, she then turned to Zichen "Jiejie I'm going out to the market, you want to come?" She grabbed both his hands in his own "please don't say no, I want to spend time with jiejie, Xiao-Li⁵ will be there too" she exclaimed, "Alright" Zichen said despite himself. Zhang Miao, really was Yanli's mother, the younger girl was a less annoying copy of her mother.

And this brings us to his present predicament, here he was, dragged along as Miao and Yanli, the two girls gossiped and looked through dresses, jewellery, hand fans and other such things. Zichen who had been a man, had little to no interest in these types of things, not to say that men couldn't like more "girly" things, Zichen just hadn't been that type of man. He just walked to whichever stall the second consort and the first princess dragged him too, half heartdly commenting on whatever the two wanted to buy. "This dress would look great on third mother wouldn't it mama?" Yanli excitedly asked Miao, pointing towards a light purple hanfu with illustrations of white lotuses, Miao reached forward to touch the fabric, "yes, it would look wonderful on jiejie" Miao said with equal excitement. Then against Zichen repeated protests she instructed her maid, Xue, to pay for the cloth. "Jiejie had to wear it, I'm sure our Husband would like it, as much as me and Yanli do" Miao exclaimed, how could someone still be act so childlike even after having a child of their own, Miao's character could truly not be understood by Zichen, he didn't like extroverted people, they attracted too much attention, and he wasn't a big fan of it.

Due to being an extremely unlucky individual in his past life (one could argue he was unlucky in this life too, but that's besides the point), Zichen was the subject of many embarrassing moments, and what else drew people in other than a person in great distress, because of his Zichen had started hating attention to the point of not leaving his house at all, he didn't even go out for groceries, he just ordered them to his house.

Zichen sighed as the memories of his past filled his head, he really had no time for all this, he had to quickly get the story back on plot and figure out a way to get out of here. Both of those things were by no means, easy, because Zichen had no idea where Xiao was and why that Emperor bastard hadn't married him, and getting the story back on track ment him dying, he wasn't exactly fond of the idea of dying again and last but not least, If he was in the Zichen from the novel body's, didn't that mean that his original body had no soul aka was dead, so even if he did go back, how would he explain himself, it wasn't everyday you saw a dead person come alive, it would be story that would shock the entirely of China

**And now for the breaking news Man comes back to life after being dead for months**

But being honest here, he would probably become a labrat, and people would think some sort of apocalypse was going to begin. Was going back really the best choice here? Wasn't just dying better?. Zichen head began to hurt from all this thinking, and he had to remind himself that, the third consorts body was very fragile, he had already gone out and walked quite a bit, he shouldn't overexert this body.

After a little more shopping, they finally headed back to the Imperial palace, Miao and Yanli would have stayed longer if Zichen hadn't started complaining of a headache. Immediately upon reaching the palace, Miao called for the royal doctor to check up on Zichen. The doctor arrived a few minutes later, he was a handsome man, one could even compare him to the Emperor himself, his long snow like hair was tied in a low ponytale, golden eyes glanced over at Zichen who now was laying down in his bed as he no longer had the energy to stand or even sit, if his memories served him right, the doctor's name was Bai Weitao, he was one of the youngest people to have been chosen as Imperial doctor. Weitao moved quickly besides Zichen, gently putting two slender fingers on the consort's wrist to check for his pulse, then he moved his hand to Zichen's head to check for a fever, finally after a few minutes he spoke in a soft, polite voice "Everything is fine, your majesty, has just exhausted himself a little too much" he said bowing his head slightly, "please take a rest and not move around too much, your majesty has still not recovered properly" he added. "Ah, that's a relief, jiejie really gave me a scare" Miao sat besides Zichen, "rest please jiejie, we will leave you alone now" she said, "if jiejie needs anything just tell A-Xue⁶ to bring it".

After that short conversation, Zichen was left alone, how wonderful was quietness, Zichen's palace was in a more secluded area of the royal estate, as in the novel, the Emperor had despised seeing his third wives face so much, he had ordered for him to live in a completely separate area. It had been a thing that gave the novel Zichen great sorrow, but since the Zichen now wanted nothing to do with the Emperor, it was one of the only things that bought him joy
