Chapter 17 – Temporarily Retreat.

"What kind of bullshit is this?! Look at those numbers!" – said Oron.

The room where the boss of the bite ant nest dungeon was found it was filled up with the small army of ants.

"Yea. We had problem back then when we deal with that room full of ants but what kind of bullshit is this! There is even more them here! And there is even more of those stronger ants and there is even a boss!" – said Shri.

"…. Hey, when you beat the single type dungeon before, you said there was problems right? How you beat it?" – asked Shri.

"The monster there was necromancer, he had piles of corpse that he used to make infinity undeads, I used the torch to burn them down." – said ClownFrog.

"Oh. Em, I don't think the boss here is necromancer and burning corpse won't help us either." – said Oron.

"Tch. So, what do we do? Unlike before we had advantage before because we had higher ground against those ants, but now this is no longer the case. On top of that those numbers are big problems. We can use the strategy from before with me raising the undeads nonstop, however there is way more ants right now so my undeads will die even faster than before." – said ClownFrog.

"As of right now I can only bring out only 2 ants monster because of my [Taming Mastery] stat, however I can tell it won't be enough, even if I were to summon the third one somehow." – said Shri.

"So, what do we do?" – asked Oron.

"…. Well, I think we don't do anything." – said ClownFrog.

"What do you mean?" – asked Shri.

"I mean its not like we can do anything, we literally can't do anything. Unless one of us is overpower main protagonist, there is no chance that we can beat that room. So, unless you have some sort of hidden overpower skill or two then its good time to take them out." – said ClownFrog.

"…."

"So, you don't. Tch fuck meeeeee…"

"Then, we have no choice then huh. We have to give up."

"!"

"Wait, but we finally manage to find the boss monster!" – said Oron.

"But we are obviously not strong enough to take it on even if we try. Our combined strength isn't enough to take all of these monsters at once." – said ClownFrog.

"He is right."

"Sis?!"

"Hey, don't take me wrong, but what he is saying is true. The problem right now is those ants are all gathered in that room. Taking those numbers wouldn't be much of the problem if they were scatter all around the dungeon where we could just take them on, but instead they all together in the big freaking room!" – said ClownFrog.

"Honestly, I thought about maybe aggroing the monster and having them chase each of us through the dungeon since this dungeon is kind of like maze, but the problem is still with their numbers. Even if we somehow manage to split them into 3, we would also be splitted into 3 and get overwhelmed in the end by their numbers. I don't even know in the first place if those monsters would leave that room in the first place since they seem to be guarding that boss monster."

"And to make things worse, I don't thing we can pull any cheap tactics that can give us advantage, by the look of things head on confrontation is our only option." – said Shri.

"We don't know anybody really who we can trust. What about you?"

"…Sorry, but I played solo the entire time." – replied ClownFrog.

"I guess we have no choice. We have to give up for now and retreat and maybe try and find a person or two who can help us beat the dungeon. It will be probably meaning with splitting the rewards with them, but its not like we have choice. Does anybody disagree?" – asked ClownFrog.

"I don't like it one bit about sharing the rewards with more people, but it's not like I have anything my self that can help us. Let's go back and maybe we will be lucky if we find somebody trust worth."

The party with left with no other choice left the dungeon without beating it.

"Still this freaking sucks! We finally manage to find that dungeon after getting through that annoying labyrinth only to freaking retreat!" 

"We can do nothing about this. If we would be able to kill lot of these ants but very highly likely that all of would die before killing the boss. The risk is too big." – said ClownFrog.

"But still…."

"I get what you mean, however it maybe still possible to clear this dungeon if we are lucky enough to find somebody that can help us." – said Oron.

"But there are two problems. The first problem that there is chance of somebody finding this dungeon and the second problem is that we aren't the only people who know about the dungeon."

"When first found it, a group of players were guarding it, but later on they were killed by the group of others players and then the second group was killed by me. Even if nobody manage to find this dungeon, it still could be beaten after those guys log in into the game back after their death penalty ban is lifted." – said ClownFrog.

"So, we have to do it somehow today and be somehow lucky that nobody finds this place while we are not around huh? Fuck me." – said Oron.

"Oh right, before we split off, let me give you these." – said ClownFrog while opening his inventory.

"?"

"Wait, those are the item drops from the ants?" – asked Oron after getting items from ClownFrog.

"Well, we don't know if we could beat the dungeon our selves or not, so I'm giving the portion of your item drops to you."

"…Huh. So, you were intending to keep your word?" – asked Shri.

"Well, it depended if you were going to betray me or not. On top of that, you two seem fairly skilled, so it would be the best for me to keep being a party with you until we beat the dungeon." – said ClownFrog.

"Huh, I see then wait moment."

"?"

[Player: Shri has invited you to the friend list.]

"If we add each other to the friends we can share with each other intel we got if we manage to find somebody." 

"Oh, I see. Good idea."

[Player Shri was added to the friend list.]

[Player Oron was added to the friend list.]

The party splitted off with the ClownFrog going alone in his own discretion.

(But will be even able to find somebody to help out in the first place?)

(No. We will definitely find somebody, but the question is who? If we try to take too many people like 3 or 4 the reward will be splitted too much between us. On top of that if we bring too many people there is chance, they will betray us and try to steal the dungeon.)

(The best plan would be to bring 1 or 2 people since it would minimize the chance of them betraying us. On top of that, they will be willing to join us since everybody knows that doing the dungeons gives you nice rewards, even though they will be getting a portion of it since we would split it between ourselves.)

(However, the question is who the heck do we need?)

"…Hm…. I think damage dealer is the thing we need."

(The ant monsters that Shri has as well as my undeads can take the enemy hits for us. So, we don't need a tank.)

(Support like a priest may seem good, but the skeletons will obviously die before getting healed and my race has an downsides when it comes to the healings received as well as buffs from holy and lights elements, so it straight up doesn't work well with me.)

(Damage dealer seem to be the best approach then. Those ants can take a hits from my skeletons as well as from me and Shri.)

(Even though Oron is mix between crossbow user and fire mage, he is currently the person in the team with the highest attack power. I obviously have bit biggest attack power, but that only counts if we counts the undeads.)

(Oron right now has the easiest time dealing with the ants out of all of us. If we have the second damage dealer like him then the things would be looking way better.)

"However how the heck do I recruit somebody into joining us?"

(I can't bloody tell that I'm looking for the damage dealer that want to beat with us the uncleared single type dungeon. That would obviously make tons of trouble and would make it obvious I found the dungeon.)

(What if I say that I want to just join a party with damage dealer?)

"No, that would obviously not work as well."

(Random guy looking specifically for the damage dealer and then telling them that I found the dungeon and then bring them into the part of the forest where there is not lot of the players will obviously make me look suspicious or even make them think I'm PK player that wants to murder them.)

"Fuck me…. It look like it would be pretty much more annoying finding somebody than I though."

"…. May as well head quickly back to the city and restoke the potions that I ended up using up. Maybe they will manage to find somebody in the meantime."

ClownFrog left the forest and head back to the town city. After arriving back, he quickly headed straight towards the alchemist shop.

(Hm…. Should I buy some more expensive potions this time? I would probably be short on money for the while but if we were succeeding the dungeon, we would earn lot of money afterwords. It worth it.)

"Yo. Friend. Didn't imagined running into you here." – said a male voice while grabbing ClownFrog shoulder.

"!"

(That voice!)

ClownFrog quickly turned his head around and saw a man standing right behind him.

"I didn't imagine running into you again so soon." – said the man while holding the gun right behind ClownFrog back.
