Chapter 8: GOD(PART-2)

Grant curiously stared at the Goddess who currently seemed to be in a trance.

It looks like she was communicating with someone.

And so Grant waited patiently while spreading his magic around him, trying to sense the area.

It didn't take long.

"It's done"

Goddess who looked like she was finally done communicating said as she faced Grant.

"Let's go right away."

With a flash, both of them vanished in white light.

---------------------

When Grant regained his sight he was already sitting on a wooden chair, in front of him, he could see the Goddess and another woman with purple hair and the red coloured magic tattoo on the left side of her face talking to each other.

"Is this the hero you have chosen?"

"Yes and about the thing you promised...."

"I know I will teach him magic but remember that this is the last favour I am doing you...."

From their chat, Grant could determine that this woman in purple is going to be his soon to be magic teacher.

"Well let's first check his qualification before anything..."

With a wave of her hand, a white sphere appeared in mid-air and floated in front of Grant.

"Hold it."

Grant wasn't bothered by her careless attitude as it perfectly matched the image of a powerful magician in his mind.

Extending his hand Grant touched the white ball.

Suddenly a bright golden light enveloped the entire room.

"Ho....", A small voice escaped the purple hair woman's mouth as she sat up straight and stared at the ball with interested eyes.

"Is it good?", Goddess who didn't know much about magic tools asked while looking at her friend's expression.

"....Good?.....no this is amazing....tell me frankly he isn't your illegitimate chile or anything right?", The purple hair woman said as she started comparing Grant and Goddess's face, she noticed that their golden hair was in fact quite similar to each other.....

"He's not my child", Goddess said with a slight frown on her face.

[Then don't tell me that you kidnapped a god's child?]

The purple-haired woman said using telepathy.

"No I-----", Suddenly Goddess stopped mid-sentence.

In a way, she did kidnap Grant, didn't she?

[No way you actually kidnapped a god's child? Are you crazy?]

A smile formed on her face when she noticed that Goddess wasn't saying anything. She clicks her tongue in amazement not knowing what to say.

[Your guts really are something else.....]

It was a terrible crime to steal a God's child.

Gods live for millenniums but even so most of them don't even have a single child of their own.

Why was that?

Because it is even harder for Gods to reproduce than dragons.

That's why every God highly values their child, most of them have lived for thousands of years and don't have many things that they care about but their children are one of them.

Well, there are also some crazy Gods who just go around and sleep with every person they find appealing to the eye and spreading their seeds everywhere. But most of them are in the minority.

"Well let's check his elemental affinity first...."

The purple-haired woman moved her finger as the ball in Grant's hand vanished and a new silver coloured one appeared before him.

Without much thought, he grabbed the new ball.

Four small dots appeared in the silver ball signifying the four basic elements.

Grant wondered why the second ball's result was in complete contrast with the first one.

On the other hand, the purple-haired woman frowned when she saw the result and shake her head.

"His elemental affinity is barely on passable level....how unusual with the amount of mana he has his elemental affinity shouldn't be so low...", Purple haired woman said as she made the ball in Grant's hand disappear.

"Is he not suitable for learning magic then?", Goddess asked.

"Well it's not like he can't it's just that it will require him more magic power to cast higher level spells...but his high mana reserve should make it possible for him to cast high-level spells.....it's just I think he is more suitable for a warrior than a magician."

"What do you think? do you still want to learn magic? I can try and find a warrior teacher if you want--------"

"It's fine I will learn magic."

Grant who have been listening to their conversation for some time said without a second thought.

Goddess fell silent when she heard Grant's decision.

She couldn't understand why he was so interested in learning magic.

"Please teach him then."

"Fine", The purple-haired woman said as she stood up from her seat and smiled while looking at Grant.

"Remember well kid I am the progenitor of the path of ruin craft, the great Goddess Of Magic, Zerwa, and from today onwards you will be my first student."

A majestic power descended in the place.

"State your name disciple"

"Grant Ashdown", Grant said as he got in the highest respecting pose he had learned from the butler Hans.

A smile appeared on Zerwa's face when she saw Grant on one knee and bowing his head towards her.

"I will not let you quit halfway this is your final chance to bac-----"

"I am prepared."

"Fine then."

The magic in the atmosphere moved as Zerwa made a cut on her finger, bright red color blood flowed out and started making weird patterns appear on Grant's face.

They looked identical to the one's on the left side of Zewa's face
