Chapter 25

The RoR had turned into a spacious arena of sorts and since there were so many spells and wards on this room, I could go all out without any repercussions.

I requested the RoR to make a mindless mob of sorts with differing strengths and for the first time in a while, I stopped using magic to actively boost my body. Well, I couldn't stop my passive channeling as by now it had turned into an inbuilt feature of me but I suppose it too would count as my base strength now so I wasn't complaining.

As the mob with strength weaker than an average human (muggle) rushed me, I too ran towards them and for a second I was surprised when I found myself a lot closer to them than I remembered being. Damn, how fast was I?

By the time I managed to control my speed, I had barrelled into a couple of unlucky mindless drones and sent them flying with broken bodies and missing limbs. A casual punch would take out their bones and at times, their limbs, and using my full strength utterly destroyed a bunch of drones who were standing in a line.

It was fun, I felt like Superman among a bunch of normal men. I wasn't bothered by the blood and gore and the corpses, which weren't of real people but something told me I wouldn't mind if they were real either. Well, by now I had given up on puzzling out whether my emotions were a result of the soul tampering or if they were part of the 'true' me, whatever that meant.

Shaking my head to clear out the distracting thoughts I focused on my surroundings to find a bunch of mindless drones with broken hands and weapons and looked down to find my clothes tattered and the unblemished skin underneath. Well, damn.

I grinned at the implications of what I had found and rushed into battle with an increased fervour. I didn't realise when the weaker mobs had been replaced with mobs of people with average human strength and then even more because I felt no difference whatsover. It was only when I reached mobs who had around 10 times the strength of an average human that I found some resistance and they were the only ones so far who had managed to actually stab me with their weapons. The weapons were reinforced along with their wielders so these ones didn't break when they encountered my skin. It took serious punches to break the bones and limbs of these guys and so I started to battle a little conservatively as I wanted to conserve my stamina which was when I realised I wasn't feeling as tired as I should be. And I also found out that my wounds were healing pretty fast and I was sure by actively focusing magic on it and learning a few healing spells becoming a bootleg, extremely weak version of Deadpool or Wolverine wouldn't be too far fetched.

It was only when I reached the mobs with upto 15 times the strength of humans that I found myself almost defeated. It took the entirety of my strength and concentration to finish even one off and I was getting injured faster than I could heal. I was feeling tired enough to drop to my feet and simply sleep but I wanted to test my limits so I decided to fight till the point where I was sure I could no longer fight.

A couple of minutes later, the mobs and the blood and gore vanished and I was oblivious to that fact as I barely had any energy left to keep my eyes open, let alone look around. My entire body was sore and my wounds were healing like a normal person's, meaning I was bleeding and a few of my bones were broken. My last thought before drifting off to a well-deserved rest on a bed that had somehow appeared was thinking how good of a workout that was.

(Scene Break)

I woke up and was pleasantly surprised when I didn't feel the customary pain one feels after waking up from an event like I had experienced a few hours before. My wounds were healed splendidly and I was feeling as good as new, though a bit hungry. Scratch that, I was feeling positively ravenous. Courtesy of the Tempus spell, I found out that I had missed lunch and dinner wouldn't be on for a few more hours.

After a quick Scourgify, a few household charms and one instance of transfiguration, I had managed to fix my tattered clothes and look as presentable as it was possible for me to be. I walked out the RoR and made my way to the kitchen.

My GPS spell worked as it was designed to and I soon found myself in front of the painting where one had to tickle the pear to gain entry into the kitchen. The house elves were happy to serve and I was glad to eat, so it was a pleasant bit of half hour spent. After eating my fill, I thanked the elves and bid them goodbye and walked back towards the RoR as I wanted to test the boost in my magic, as I was sure my magic would have been boosted a lot more than my physical prowess.

As I looked down at the utter destruction around the room, I realised how great it was that I had two days (+ the time manipulating abilites of the RoR) to get my magic in control. I had vastly underestimated just how much of a boost I had gained from the ritual and realised it would greatly affect my plans.

My increased magical power sadly didn't come with increased control so until I got it back in control, the RoR would have to be my home. Damn, I was looking forward to the Hogwarts library but now I had to once again exploit the time manipulating abilites of the RoR.

Oh well, it wasn't as if I wasn't getting anything out of this. Yeah, becoming a grossly overpowered existence is usually harder than this...
